Hi all -- I just wanted to let you know that right now, in the Senate, debate is underway to decide if government subsidies to the oil and gas industry should be diverted to where it is needed - renewable energy sources.

Last quarter ExxonMobil posted the largest quarterly profit for any corporation in American history. These companies do not need government handouts.

The House just passed a bill that would give these government subsidies to renewable energy efforts that need them such as solar, wind power and plug-in hybrid electric cars. Please join me in telling the Senate: no more handouts for the oil and gas industry!
