Dear Friend,
Last month the Climate Savers Computing Initiative launched a newly redesigned website thats easier to navigate and features new content, including a fun and interactive quiz about greener computing practices.
More than 1,000 people have participated in the quiz so far, sharing their experiences and opinions on computer power management, ENERGY STAR qualified computers, and phantom power. Were excited to share the results weve seen so far:
Power Management: More than half ofall participants said they already use computer power management, and another 47 percent plan to begin using it.
ENERGY STAR computers: Forty-two percent of respondents already use ENERGY STAR qualified computer and 56 percent plan on choosing one for their next computer purchase.
Phantom Power: Only 32 percent of quiz participants are already unplugging electronic devices when they are not in use, but 66 percent plan to begin doing so.
