The Helping Families with Mental Health Crisis Act was re-introduced in 2015 by Rep. Tim Murphy and by Rep. Eddie Denise Johnson. The new number is H.R.2646. It features assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) programs, crisis intervention team (CIT) training for police and corrections officers, and resumption of Medicaid insurance for psychiatric inpatients on a limited basis.
