I have been on leave for some time now. I hope that I have some new energy to tackle with the problems of hosting a human rights group... It isn't fun, I can tell you. You can't please everyone, and there will always be people who will use a lot of energy to backtalk you, to sabotage your efforts, to twist your words and lie about your intentions, and sometimes these people manage to influence your friends - or people who you thought were your friends. As they say "a friend in need is a friend indeed".
Firstly, all discussions concerning Israel and Palestine will go to the Israel-Palestine threads. What ever happens in Levant concerning Israelis and Palestinians go to one specific thread. There will not be dozens of threads all saying basically the same thing. The discussion will be in one place and one place only. Also, all the discussions about China, USA (foreign policy) and Sudan/Darfur will have their designated threads.
Secondly, no more general "noted news" thread. All the noteworthy news are also worthy to gain a thread of their own.
Thirdly, no more blocked members.
Violations of CoC and ToS will be reported to Care2 and inappropriate posts will be moved to deletion dump, and the offender may post again until he/she manages to write a post without offenses.
I would appreciate your co-operation and an effort to "play nice" - don't make me regret this decision.
I will be adding a "message to the hosts" thread where you can tell me what ever is bothering me, or notify me of a waiting NM. I am really bad at reading my message box, and I apologize for that.
I also would like to ask everyone to wait and see what happens instead of leaving the group because you are afraid. But what ever you decide, the doors of HRN will always be open and you can come and go as you please.
