IAMS News
Animals  (tags: AnimalCruelty, dogs, cats, pet, food, vivisection, P+G, Proctor and Gamble )

- 14 minutes ago - uncaged.co.uk

Care2 recently ran ads for IAMS petfood. They claim that the company does not vivisect animals. IAMS is a subsidiary of Proctor and Gamble one of the largest vivisection companies. That alone should be enough but here is more proof. Please boycott them.

Remember this barbaric practise was stopped in the UK with no ill effects to the students learning.

Thanx

SHAC UK National March in Peterborough
06/29/08

Saturday 12th July 2008, 11am - 5:30pm
SHAC UK National March in Peterborough, followed by demo at the gates of HLS,
Alconbury

2 weeks before the next SHAC national in Peterborough and at HLS.

Please put this date in your diaries!

In two weeks the next SHAC national march and rally against HLS and their vile
'experiments' on animals. Please come to this important demo.

Where we'll march
through Peterborough, just north of HLS and then travel and demonstrate at HLS,
Alconbury.

This is to show the mass opposition to vivisection and HLS in a City
close to HLS where we can spread the message about HLS's dirty dealings.

11am ~ Start of assembly at Stanley Recreation Ground (car parking off Brook
Street, just south off the Recreation Ground)
11am to 12.

30pm – Rally in the park with info stalls and Veggies food and
drinks. Before the march sets off, there will be speakers.

12:30-1pm March starts at about 12:30, marching around Peterborough (the march
is about 1.

2 miles), then back to Stanley Recreation Ground by about 2:30pm
where we get back into transport and drive to HLS for demo 3:30pm at the gates
until 5:30pm where there will be more speakers. Also Veggies food at HLS.

Parking for demo at HLS will be on Woolley Road much nearer to HLS than last
time.

This is a very important demo to show our disgust against HLS.

The
march is also a great opportunity to let the people of Peterborough know that
cruel and needless animal research is going on near their City.

We will meet at Stanley Recreation Ground, Peterborough, Cambs.

Maps and more
information is posted on the SHAC website:
http://www. shac. net/National2008/index. html

We will be meeting from 11am onwards on the west side of the recreation ground,
but the march will not set off before 12:30.

Transport is being organised from all over the UK.

If, in the meantime,
you can help by organising transport or have space in vehicles, or if you have
any transport queries - please email us at: info@shac.net or phone: 0845 458

Hi All
05/09/08

It's great to see this group growing!

Many people are against vivisection but don't know how to stop it.

I thought I'd just outline a few things we can ALL do.

1. Keep yourself healthy by eating a good diet, taking supplements if you feel you need them and avoiding junk-food.

2. Avoid pharmaceuticals. Even taking an aspirin means you are putting money into the vivisectors pockets and damaging your health in the long run.

3. Learn about 'alternative' medicine. To me is is NOT alternative it is ESSENTIAL!

4. Learn about vivisection so you can argue against it successfully. Check out all the links here for all the info you need.

5. Spread the word. We may not have the media on our side but word of mouth is much more powerful in the end.

KEEP ON FIGHTING!!!

Can ALL members please do this one thing?
03/11/08

TO ALL MEMBERS in this group if you can do one thing please check the NEWS THREAD2 for new news items and just note them so we can get them front page. I would really appreciate it. (For the animals)
Thanx all.*grouphug*

World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week
03/02/08

This week (April 20th - 26th, 2008) has traditionally been a time when animal activists have organized rallies, protests, news conferences, literature tables, and other events to fight for the animals that are imprisoned in laboratories and to raise public awareness of their plight.  These animals are depending on each one of us to stand up and act on their behalf.

Please use the information and resources on this web site to support your efforts on behalf of the 20,000,000 animals that will suffer and die in U.S. laboratories this year.

The Medical College of Wisconsin is at it again!
01/28/08
What: Doctors lead peaceful demonstration at MCW
When: Mon., Feb. 18, 11 a.m.
The lab is scheduled to begin this day. Location: North 87th St. at MCW’s main entrance (between Watertown Plank Rd. and Wisconsin Ave.), Milwaukee Parking: Please use public parking on Watertown Plank Rd. or other adjacent streets. Please carpool when possible.

Signs will be provided. Please make sure to dress warmly. No RSVP is required.

As you may know, MCW has switched from using dogs to pigs in its live animal lab. It’s crucial that we continue to let MCW know that there is no justification for killing any animals in the name of medical education. More than 90 percent of U.S. medical schools no longer offer live animal labs.
