As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, more and more consumers are looking to replace their outdated equipment with new, energy-efficient products. However, with technology constituting an estimated 87.5 percent of landfill toxic waste, it is vital for consumers to understand the importance of recycling technology in an environmentally responsible manner. 

To make electronic recycling easier, Green is Universal has partnered with WNBC and GreeNYC to present Green Screens, an electronic recycling event.

Saturday and Sunday November 15 - 16 from 8 am to 2 pm, we will be accepting your unwanted computers, TVs, cell phones, radios, cameras, VCRs and other electronics for free at any of the locations listed below.

Manhattan
Saturday Only: Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building Plaza
W. 126th St. bet. Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. and Malcolm X Blvd.
Sunday Only: Cooper Square
Cooper Square bet. E. 6th and 7th Sts.

Through smarter ways of buying non toxic products, replacing old technology with more energy efficient products, make healthier desisions when it comes to what we eat and how we purchse foods, changing how we travel and get from place to place through efficient fuels and renewable energy, building more efficient homes through green building and developing ways to reduce waste in products and develope a zero waste economy. Through these several ways we can all help make a dent in our future. We believe in you and that you have the capacity for growth and the will to act on this movement and help us tackle global warming.
