.. Jean, and everyone.  So glad I found this group and am looking forward to reading more of your posts.  I'm a native of Louisiana .. Shreveport and Natchitoches area.  I've always enjoyed the historical background of Natchitoches.

for inviting me to join the group. It looks awesome. I have been to Louisiana and I love it. I have been to the Rip Van Winkle Gardens. An old plantation they made into a huge garden that you can visit. It is beautiful in the swamp with the bamboo and the exotic birds of all kinds. Lake Caddo is on the border of Texas and Louisiana and it is in both states. It is swampy there. It is beaitiful in Lousiana. Love&Peace, White Wolf

Hi! This is my first post and I'm a little shy .  I am completely fascinated with LA.  Culture, food, natural beauty, rich history...you name it! I'm from Jersey. I love Jersey but it is often so darn cold up here! I'm a heat person. Went to New Orleans once and literally almost passed out from the heat/humidity....<sighs> it was great! Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Excited to talk LA and learn some new things...maybe get some recipes...I do love cajun
