BIBLE TRANSLATION: GOOD NEWS BIBLE ROMANS 1:1.) FROM Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, and an apostle chosen and called by God to preach his Good News.
2.) The Good News was promised long ago by God, through his prophets, as written in the Holy Scriptures. 3.) It is written about His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ: as to his humanity, he was born a descendent of David. 4.) as to his divine holiness, he was shown with great power to be the Son of God by being raised from death.         5.) Through him God gave me the privalege of being an apostle for the sake of Christ, in order to lead people of all nations to believe and obey. 6.) This also includes you who are in Rome, whom God has called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7.) and so I write to all of you in Rome whom God loves and has called to be his own people:
May God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

ROMANS 1:8-15
8.) FIRST I thank my God through Jesus Christ, for all of you, because the whole world is hearing about your faith. 9.) God is my witness that what I say is true-the God whom I serve with all my heart by preaching the Good News about his Son.  God knows that I remember you 1
0.) every time I pray. I ask that God that in his Good Will may make it possible for me to visit you now. 11.) For I want very much to see you, in order to share a spiritual blessing with you to make you strong. 12.) What I mean is that both you and me will be helped at the same time, you by my faith, and I by yours.
13.) You must remember my friends, that many times I have planned to visit you, but something has always kept me from doing so. I want to win converts among you also, as I have among other Gentiles. 14.) For I have an obligation to all people, to the civilized and uncivilized, to the educated, and the uneducated.
15.) So than, I am eager to teach the good news to you also who live in Rome.

ROMANS 1:16-20
16.) I HAVE COMPLETE COMPETENCE IN THE GOSPEL; IT IS GOD'S POWER TO SAVE ALL WHO BELIEVE, FIRST THE JEWS AND THEN ALSO THE GENTILES.
17.) For the gospel reveals how God put's people right with Himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, the person who is put right with God, it is through faith from beginning to end.
18.) God's anger is revealed from heaven against all sin and evil of the people whose evil ways prevent the truth from being known. 19.) God punishes them, for what can be known about God, is plain to them, for God himself made it plain. 20.) Ever since God created the world, his invisable qualities, both his eternal powers and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things God has made. So those people have no excuse at all.

WHAT HUMAN BEINGS WERE AND ARE LIKE!
ROMANS 1:21-32

21.) THEY know God but they do not give Him the honor that belongs to Him, nor do they thank Him. Instead their thoughts have become complete nonsense, and their empty minds are filled with darkness.
22.) They say they are wise, but they are fools. 23.) Instead of worshiping the immortal God, they worship images made to look like mortal man, or birds, or animals or reptiles.
24.) And so God has given those people over to the filthy things their hearts desire, and they do shameful things with each other. 25.) And they exchange the truth about God for a lie; they worship and serve what God has created, instead of the creator Himself, who is to praised forever! Amen. 26.) Because they do this God has given them over to shameful passions. Even the women pervert the natural use of their sex by unnatural acts. 27.) In the same way men give up natural sexual relationships with women, and  burn with passion for each other. Men do shameful things with each other, and as a result they bring about the punishment they deserve for their wrongdoing.
28.) Because those people refuse to keep in mind the true knowledge about God, he has given them over to corrupted minds, so that they do the things they should not do.
29.) They are filled with all kinds of wickedness, evil, greed, and vice; they are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, deceit, and malace. They gossip 30.) and speak evil of one another; they are hateful to God, insolent, proud, and boastful; they think of more ways to do evil, they disobey their parents, they; 31.) they have no conscience, they do not keep their promises, and they show no kindness, or pity for others. 32.) They know that God's law says that people who live this way deserve death. Yet, not only do they continue to do these things, but they even approve of others who do them.

CHAPTER 2:1-16
1.] SOME  of you accuse others of doing wrong. But there is no excuse for what you do. When you judge others, you condemn yourselves, because you are guilty of doing the very same things. 2.] We know that God is right to judge everyone who behaves in this way. 3.] Do you really think God won't punish you, when you behave the exactly like the people you accuse. 4.] You surely don't think much of God's wonderful goodness or of his patience or willingness to put up with you. Don't you know that the reason God is good to you is because he wants you to turn to Him?
5.] But you are stubborn and refuse to turn to God. So you are making things even worse for yourselves on that day when he will show how angry He is and will judge the world with fairness. 6.] God will reward each of us with for what we have done. 7.] He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently  done what is good in the hope of recieving glory, honor, and life that lasts forever. 8.] But he will show how angry and furious he can be with every selfish person who rejects the truth and wants to do evil.  9.] All who are wicked will be punished with trouble and suffering. It doesn't matter if they are Jews or Gentiles. 10.] But all who do right will be rewarded with glory, honor, and and peace, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. 11.] God doesn't have any favorites.
12.] Those people who don't know about God's law will still be punished for what they do wrong.  And the law will be used to judge everyone who knows what it says. 13.] God accepts those who obey his Law, but not those who simply hear it.
14.] Some people naturally obey the the Law's commands, even though they don't have the Law. 15.] This proves that the conscience is like a law written in the human heart. And it will show whether we are forgiven or condemned,             16.] when God has Jesus Christ judge everyone's secret thoughts, just as may message says.

ADVANCED STUDY [DEEPER], 'THE JEWISH PEOPLE AND THE LAW.'
ROMANS 2:17-29
17.] SOME of you call yourselves Jewish. You trust in the Law and take pride in God. 18.] By reading the Scriptures you learn how God wants you to behave, and you discover what is right. 19.] You are sure that you are a guide for all who are in the dark. 20.] And since there is knowledge and truth in God's Law, you think you can instruct fools and teach young people.
21.] But how can you instruct others when you refuse to learn? You preach that it is wrong to steal, but do you steal? 22.] You say people should be faithful in marriage. But are you faithful?  You hate idols, yet you rob their temples. 23.] You take pride in the Law, but you disobey the Law and bring shame to God. 24.] It is just as the scriptures tell us, "You have made foreigners say insulting things about God."
25.] Being circumcised is worthwhile, if you obey the Law, But if you don't obey the Law, you are no better off then people who are not circumcised. 26.] In fact, if they obey the Law, they are as good as anyone who is circumcised. 27.] So everyone who  obeys the Law, but has
never been circumcised, will condemn you. Even though you are circumcised and have the Law, you still don't obey it's teachings.
28.] Just because you live like a Jewish person and are circumcised doesn't make you a real Jewish person. 29.] To be a real Jewish person you must obey the Law.  True circumcision is something that happens deep in your heart, not something done to your body. And besides, you should want praise from God, not from humans.

CHAPTER THREE
[ send green star]  [ accepted]

 September 08, 2008 11:13 AM

ROMANS 3:1-8
1.] WHAT good is it to be a Jewish person? What good is it to be circumcised?  2.] It is good in a lot of ways! First of all, God's messages were spoken spoken to the Jewish people. 3.] It is true that some of them did not believe the message. But does this mean that God cannot be trusted, just because they did not have faith? 4.] No, indeed! God tells the truth even if every one else is a liar. The Scriptures say about God,
"Your words
will be proven true,
and in court
you will win your case."
5.] If our evil deeds show how right God is , then what can we say? Is it wrong for God to become angry and punish us? What a foolish thing to ask. 6.] But the answer is, "No."  Otherwise, how could judge the world? 7.] Since your lies bring great honor to God by showing how truthful he is, you may ask why God says you are a sinner. 8.] You might as well say, "Let's do something evil so that good will come of it!  Some people even claim that we are saying this. But God s fair and will judge them as well.

9.] WHAT does all this mean? Does it mean that we Jewish people are better off than the Gentiles? No, it doesn't! Jewish people, as well as Gentiles, are ruled by sin, just as I have said, 10.] The scripture tells us,
"No one is acceptable to God!"
11.] Not one of them understands
or even searches for God.
12.] They have all turned away
and are worthless.
There isn't one person
who does right.
13.] Their words are like
 an open pit,
and their tongues are good
only for telling lies.
Each word is as deadly
as the fangs of a snake,
14.] and they say nothing
but bitter curses.
15.] These people quicky
become violent.
16.] Where they go,
they leave ruin
and destruction.
17.] They don't know how
to live in peace.
18.] They don't even fear God."
19.] We know that everything in the Law was written for those who are under its power. The Law says these things to stop anyone from making excuses and to let God show that the whole world is guilty. 20.] God doesn't accept people simply because they obey the Law. No, indeed! All the Law does is to point out our sin.

1.] WELL then, what can we say about our ancestor Abraham?  2.] If he became acceptable to God because of what he did, then he would have something to brag about. But he would never be able to brag about it to God.  3.] The Scriptures say, "God accepted Abraham because Abraham had faith in Him."
4.] Money paid to workers isn't a gift. It is something you earn by working. 5.] But you cannot make God accept you because of something you do. God accepts sinners only because they have have faith in Him. 6.] In the scriptures, David talks about the blessings that come to people who are acceptable to God, even though they don't do anything to deserve these blessings. David says,
7.] "God blesses people
who's sins are forgiven
and whose evil deeds
are forgotten.
8.] The Lord blesses people
whose sins are erased
from his book."
9.] Are these blessings meant for circumcised people or for people who are not circumcised? Well the Scriptures say that God accepted Abraham, because Abraham had faith in him. 10.] But when did this happen? Did it happen before or after Abraham was circumcised? Of course, it was before.
11.] Abraham let himself be circumcised to show that he had been accepted because of his faith even before he was circumcised. This makes Abraham the father of all who are acceptable to God because of their faith, even though they are not circumcised. 12.] This also makes Abraham the father of everyone who is circumcised and faith in God, as Abraham did before he was circumcised.

ROMANS 3: 21-31
21.] NOW we see how God does make us acceptable to him. The Law and the Prophets tell how we become acceptable, and isn't by obeying the Law of Moses. 22.] God treats everyone alike. He accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ. 23.] All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. 24.] But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, He freely accepts us and sets us free from our sin. 25-26.] God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life's blood, so that by faith in Him we could come to God.And God did this to show that in the past he was right to be patient and forgive sinners. This also shows that God is right when he accepts people who have faith in Jesus.
27.] What is left for us to brag about? Not a thing! Is it because we obeyed some law? No! It is because of faith. 28.] We see that people are acceptable to God because they have faith, and not because they obey the Law. 29.] Does God only belong to the Jews? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles as well as Jews, simply because of their faith. Yes, he is! 30.] There is only one God, and he accepts Gentiles as well as Jewish people, simply because of their faith. 31.] Do we destroy the Law by our faith? Not at all! We make it even more powerful.

THE PROMISE IS FOR ALL WHO HAVE FAITH! July 30, 2008 7:55 PM

Romans 4:13-25
13.] GOD promised Abraham and his descendents that he would give them the world. This promise wasn't made because Abraham had obeyed a law, but because his faith in God made him acceptable. 14.]  If  Abraham and his descendants were given this promise because they ahd obeyed a law, then faith would mean nothing,  and the  promise would be worthless.
15.] God becomes angry when his law is broken. But where there isn't a law, it can not be broken. 16.] Everything depends on having faith in God, so that God's promise is assured by his great kindness. This promise isn't only for Abraham's descendants because they had faith, just as he did.  Abraham is the ancestor of us all. 17.] The scriptures say that Abraham would become the ancestor of many nations. This promise was made to Abraham because he had faith in God, who raises the dead to life, and creates new things.
18.] God promised Abraham a lot of descendants. And when it all seemed hopeless, Abraham still had faith in God and became the ancestor of many nations. 19.] Abraham's faith never became weak, not even when he was nearly a hundred years old. He knew that he was almost dead and that his wife Sarah oculd not have children. 20.] But Abraham never doubted or questioned God's promise. His faith made him strong, and he gave all the credit to God.
21.] Abraham was certain that God could do what he had promised. 22.] just as we read in the Scriptures. But these words were not written only for Abraham. 24.] They were written for us, since we will also b e accepted because of our faith in God, who raised our Lord Jesus to life. 25.] God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and he raised Him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God.

Romans 5: 1-11
1.] By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace. 2.] Christ has also introduced us to God's undeserved kindness on which we take our stand. So we are happy, as we look forward to sharing in the glory of God. 3.] But that's not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure. 4.] And endurance builds character, which gives us a hope  5.] that will never  disappoint us.  All this happens  because God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with His love.
6.] Christ died for us at a time when we were helpless and sinful. 7.] No one is really willing to die for an honest person, though some might be willing to die for a truly good person. 8.] But God showed us how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful.
9.] But there is more! Now that God has accepted us because Christ sacrifised His life's blood, we will also be kept safe from God's anger.            10.] Even when we were God's enemy, he made peace with us, because His Son died for us. Yet something even greater than friendship is ours. Now we are at peace with God, we will be saved by His Son's life.  11.] And in addition to everything else we are happy because God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to make peace with us.

Romans 5:12-21
12.] Adam sinned,  and that sin has brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die. 13.] Sin was in the world before the law came. But no record of sin was kept, because there was no law.  14.] Yet death still had power over all who lived from the time of Adam to the time of Moses. This happened, though not everyone disobeyed a direct command from God, as Adam did.
In some ways Adam is like Christ, who came later. 15.] But the gift that God was kind enough to give was very different from Adam's sin. That one sin brought death to many others. Yet in an even greater way, Jesus Christ alone brought God's gift of kindness to many people.
16.] There is alot of difference between Adam's sin and God's gift. That one sin led to punishment. But God's gift made it possible for us to be acceptable to him, even though we have sinned many times. 17.] Death ruled like a king because Adam had sinned. But that can not compare with what Jesus Christ has done.  God has been so kind to us, and he has accepted us because of Jesus. And so we will live and rule like Kings.
18.] Everyone was going to be punished because Adam sinned. But because of the good thing that Christ has done. God accepts us and gives us the gift of life. 19.] Adam disobeyed God and caused many others to be sinners. But Jesus obeyed him and will make many people acceptable to God.
20.] The law came, so that the full power of sin could be seen. Yet where sin was powerful, God's kindness was more powerful. 21.] Sin rules by means of death. But God's kindness now rules, and God has accepted us because of Jesus Christ our Lord. This means that we will have eternal life.

1.] WHAT should we say? Should we keep on sinning, so that God's wonderful kindness will show up even better? 2.] No, we should not! If we are dead to sin, how can we go on sinning? 3.] Don't you know that all who share in Christ Jesus by being baptized also share in his death? 4.] When we were baptized, we died and were buried with Christ. We were baptized so that we would live a new life, as Christ was raised to life by the glory of God the Father.
5.] If we shared in Jesus' death by being baptized, we will be raised to life with Him. 6.] We know that the persons we used to be were nailed to the cross with Jesus. this was done, so that our sinful bodies would no longer be slaves of sin. 7.] We know that sin doesn't have power over dead people.
8.] As surely as we died with Christ, we believe we will surely live with Him 9.] We know that death no longer has any power over Christ. He died and was raised to life, never again to die. 10.] When Christ died, he died for sin once and for all. But now he is alive, and he lives only for God. 11.] In the same way, you must think of yourselves as dead to the power of sin. But Christ Jesus has given life to you, and you live for God.
12.] Don't let sin rule your body. After all, your body is bound to die, so don't obey it's desires 13.] or let any part of it become a servant of evil. Give yourselves to God, as people who have been raised from death to life. Make every part of your body a servant that pleases God. 14.] Don't let sin keep ruling your lives, You are ruled by God's kindness and not by the Law.

ROMANS 6:15-23
15.] What does all this mean? Does it mean we are free to sin, because we are ruled by God's wonderful kindness and not by the Law? Certainly not!
16.] Don't you know that you are servants of anyone you obey? You can be servants of sin and die, or you can be obedient servants of God and be acceptable to Him. 17.] You used to be servants of sin. But I thank God that with all your heart you obeyed the teaching you received from me. 18.] Now you are set free from sin and are servants who please God.
19.] I am using these everyday examples because in some ways you are still weak. You used to let certain parts of your body be servants of your evil thoughts. But now you must make every part of your body serve God, so that you will belong completely to him.
20.] When you were servants of sin you didn't have to please God.  21.] But what good did you receive from the things you did? All you have to show for them is your shame and they lead to death. 22.] Now you have been set free from sin and you are God's servants. This will make you holy and will lead you to eternal life. 23.] Sin pays off with death. But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord.

ROMANS 7:1-6
1.]
My friends, you surely understand enough about law to know that laws only have power over people who are alive. 2.] For example, the Law says that a man's wife must remain his wife as long as he lives. But once her husband is dead, she is free 3.] to marry someone else. However, if she goes off with another man while her husband is still alive, she is said to be unfaithful.
4.] That is how it is with you, my friends. You are now part of the body of Christ and are dead to the power of the Law. You are free to belong to Christ, who was raised to life so that we could serve God. 5.] When we thought only of ourselves, the Law made us have only sinful desires. It made every part of bodies into slaves who are doomed to die. 6.] But the Law no longer rules over us. We are like dead people and the law no longer rules over us. Now we can serve God in a new way by obeying his Spirit, and not in the old way by obeying the written law.

THE BATTLE WITH SIN! November 07, 2008 9:15 PM

ROMANS 7:7-25
7.] Does this mean that the Law is sinful? Certainly not! But if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin is really like. For example, I would not know what it means to want something that belongs to someone else, unless the Law had told me not to do that. 8.] It was sin that used this command as a way of making me have all kinds of desires. But without the Law sin is dead.
9.] Before I knew about the law, I was alive. But as soon as I heard that command, sin came to life. 10.] and I died. The very command that was supposed to bring me to life, instead brought death. 11.] Sin used this command to trick me, and because of it I died. 12.] Still, the Law and it's command are holy and correct and good.
13.] Am I saying that something good caused my death? Certainly not! It was sin that killed me by using something good.. Now we can see how terrible and evil sin is. 14.] We know that the Law is spiritual.  But I am merely a human, and I have been sold as a slave to sin. 15.] In fact, I don't understand why I act the way I do. I don't do what I know is right. I do the things I hate.
16.] Although I don't do what I know is right, I agree that the Law is good. 17.] So I am not the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
18.] I know that my selfish desires won't let me do anything that is good. Even when I want to do right, I cannot.
19.] Instead of doing what is right I do wrong. 20.] An so, if I don't do what I know is right, I am no longer the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
21.] The Law has shown me that something in me keeps me from doing what I know is right. 22.] With my whole heart I agree with the Law of God.  23.] But in every part of me I discover something fighting against my mind, and it makes me a  prisoner of sin that controls everything I do. 24.] What a miserable person I am. Who will rescue me from this body that is doomed to die? Thank God! Jesus Christ will rescue me.
So with my mind I serve the Law of God, although my selfish desires make me serve the Law of sin.

LIFE THROUGH THE SPIRIT!! May 14, 2009 8:26 AM

ROMANS 8:1-17
1.] Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
 2.]
because through Christ Jesus the law of the law of the Spirit of Life, set me free from the law of sin and death. 3.] For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by sinful nature, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law, might be fully met in us., who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
5.] Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; 6.] The mind of the sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7.] the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8.] Those controlled by the sinful nature can not please God.
9.] You, however, are  controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10.] But if Christ is in you your body is dead, but your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11.] And if the Spirit of  Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.
12.] Therefore brothers, we have an obligation---but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13.] For if you live by the sinful nature you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14.] because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15.] For you did not receive a Spirit that makes you slaves again to fear, but you received the Spirit of Sonship. And by Him we cry "Abba, Father." 16.] The Spirit, Himself testifies with our spirit, that we are God's children. 17.] Now if we are children, then we are heirs --heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also, share in His glory.

ROMANS 8:18-27
18.] I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19.] The creation waits in eager expectation for the Children of God to be revealed. 20.] For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by it's own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in the hope 21.] that the creation itself will be liberated from it's bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
22.] We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23.] Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as children, the redemption of our bodies. 24.] For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he/she already has? 25.] But if we hope for what we do not yet have. We wait for it patiently.
26.] In the same way the Spirit, Himself, helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words can not express. 27.] And he who searches our heart, knows the mind of the
Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

ROMANS 8:28-39
28.] And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. 29.] For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30.] And those he predestined, he also called; those he called he also justified; those he justified he also glorified.
31.] What then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us who can be against us? 32.] He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all--how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? 33.] Whom will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34.] Who is he who condemns? Christ Jesus who died--more than that who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35.] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36.] As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all
day long."
We are considered as sheep to be
slaughtered."
37.] No, through all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38.] For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, neither the nor any powers, 39,] neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
