...and boy, were you right. While each health care hustler stand in the way of meaningful health care reform, last week Big Pharma got Congress to ignore most of their constituents and vote to keep their lock on setting Medicare drug prices. This means we'll continue to be forced to pay outrageous prices for medications that go into the pockets of executives and lobbyists. Now we need to send them a message that they can't get away with it. They may have the lobbyists, but we have the power of Working America members like you. Your $35 donation will let us take the fight right back at them. Our first step will be to take action on Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a major prescription drug manufacturer. Wyeth has stood in the way of negotiating lower Medicare drug prices by trying to block imports of their drugs at lower prices. Mike W wrote: "Old people cut pills in half while our President has laws passed that make it impossible for our government to negotiate drug prices and let our elderly get affordable pills." Tell Big Pharma we won't take it anymore. Donate now. -------------------------------------------------- Visit the web address below to tell your friends about this. However, the good news is that young workers who belong to a union earn an average of 12.4% more than their nonunion peers. They are also 17% more likely to have employer-provided health insurance and 24% more likely to have an employer-provided pension. Read more.
