January 02, 2008 10:42 PM It seems like it is forever either HOT or COLD in Missouri anymore without much in between. 15 degrees right now and supposed to be 60 degrees on Sunday during the day. Gary S.	Hello Friends February 15, 2007 4:54 PM If you are like me this winter brings back memorys I had just as soon not been reminded of. I as a rule like cold weather, it does not really bother me the way it does most people.For example tonight after getting off work I was outside salting all 600feet of my driveway attempting to get rid of some of the ice making it treacherous in a tee shirt. Now it is only about 12 degree,s and most would be wearing a jacket or coat but I find it comfortable in a short sleeved shirt unless I know I will be out for an extended time. But !@%$ this weather is getting to me as well now.I want to see the flowers bloom and the trees sporting new leaves,the Squirrels playing in the trees again and listen to the birds. Sorry folks but I'm going stir crazy what with all the ice and snow. But then this summer I'll gripe about the heat which I can't stand at all. [ send green star]

Most of the snow melted on the warm day, but there are still patches -- which are especially slick considering they've melted & rethawed, and now they're just so smooth... READY FOR SPRING! Tricia T.	Don't put away your SNUGGIES ! January 27, 2007 8:22 PM MORE nasty low temps are on the way SOON ! I still have two inches of ice in my drive and now I will be lucky at this rate if it thaws by APRIL !! I had a pair of SPIKIES stored away for years and hardly even knew what they were (a gift)...but this season, they got a good work out ! Tricia T.	Yiipee ! January 18, 2007 9:52 PM Actually got up to a big ol' 36 today. AND, I got my car out of the driveway for the first time in a WEEK. You see, the stupid snow/ice plows filled the entrance to my drive with big chunks of ice, so I had to HIRE someone to come and scrape it away. I live right down town and could see traffic moving...maybe at a snail's pace, but moving ! I could not even get the doors open on my van for the sheets of ice! Today, I went out with pales of warm water and armed with cans of de-icer and hell bent on moving that car! I finally got it out even tho it still had half the windshield covered with ice . A piece that covered the wipers and then up about 12 inches. Well, I was going about 40 MPH when the huge piece of ice flew off . It hit the car that was tailgaiting me! Guess they will think twice about getting up so close behind folks in these conditions! Really made my day, guys! I 've been grinning ever since! Well there is more of this mess coming this weekend , so have re stocked the kitchen and filled up the gas tank and bought 3 more cans of deicer! I'm ready this time !! [ send green star] [ accepted]
Anita B.	January 13, 2007 9:28 PM The trees are iced but we didn't get anything more today except rain. The ground is really saturated and I am sure it is out there freezing up as I type. I went to the store Friday and stocked up on food supplies when I heard we were in for more nasty weather. Gassed up the generator and filled the extra gas cans for backup in case we lost power for 4 days again. Piled the wood in the wood bin on the porch so we only had to step out the door to get more wood for the wood burning stove. We don't plan on going anywhere either till all this goes away. Tricia T.	January 13, 2007 9:04 PM We have about 1 1/2" of ice and then a light dusting of snow....more of the same coming tonight ...and still LOTS of cold weather ahead next week. Okay with me though...I am all stocked up on the goodies we need...have no intentions of going anywhere on this ice. Just hope we don't lose the power!!!
