TV ADS FOR SINGLE PAYER SET TO GO - WITH YOUR HELP! (Part 1)

Here’s an important message (passing along from an email):

Earlier today I circulated an idea for single payer advocates to do what MoveOn.org does:  Raise lots of money on the Internet for media ads - because Single Payer Will Lose If We Don't Reach the Masses.

I was immediately contacted by Dr. Clark Newhall in Utah (www.1payer.net) who has been working with Actor Mike Farrell ("BJ Hunicutt" from TV's MASH) to produce a series of 30 and 60 second TV ads supporting single payer Medicare-for-All.   Four of the five ads have been finished with voiceovers, titles and music.

SEE THEM HERE:

We must act now to motivate America to speak to Congress.  We must reach a national audience with TV advertising to motivate Americans to contact their Representatives and Senators to demand the only real solution to the health care crisis - Single Payer Medicare for all.

As Fredrick Douglas famously said:

"POWER CONCEDES NOTHING WITHOUT A DEMAND... IT NEVER DID...AND IT NEVER WILL..."

I CANNOT SAY THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH:

"WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET THE PEOPLE TO DEMAND SINGLE PAYER IN SUFFICIENT NUMBERS TO FORCE THEIR REPRESENTATIVES & SENATORS TO HAVE THE POLITICAL COURAGE TO BUCK THE INSURANCE COMPANIES UNLESS WE CAN REACH THE MASS OF AMERICANS WITH THE SINGLE PAYER MESSAGE.”

These ads are ready to go on the air starting next week, but we need your help to raise the funds necessary.   Will you help now to raise the $50,000.00 necessary to put the Mike Farrell ads on TV next week.

These Ads are powerful.    But they are only as powerful as you make them.

They are only powerful when they are seen.  They can only change the minds of Congress if Congress knows that they are empowering Americans to say:  Medicare For All.  Now.  Everybody In, Nobody Out.

Congress is writing health care reform in closed door meetings with insurance company lobbyists as we activists sit here and preach to the choir.  It's time to stop preaching to the choir.  It's time to get the Mike Farrell ads on TV.  Now.  Not in a monthNot in July or September when it may be too late.   WE MUST DRIVE THE DEBATE NOW TO STEER IT TO SINGLE PAYER.
