Hi Everyone

Tired like this koala, and wish I was so relaxed!  It's hot here and I'm in lots of pain. I got a delivery of groceries and all I have to do is pop a meal in the microwave...thanks for all who were thinking of me.
Also, concerned about all the floods around Australia - the thousands now homeless - the families and friends of the dead and missing - the animals that have drowned - the loss of livelihood. The flooded areas in Queensland are said to be bigger than Texas, bigger than France and Germany put together. But the situation gets worse as flooding is now in 5 states. One town has been evacuated twice.
my news, if you have time and inclination, or view flood thread in An Orchid in Australia.

 Hello
My son has just arrived back in Sydney after a few days in Lourne for the festival there. Sunburnt, unwashed and happy. He was impressed with the organisers who provided breathalyzers and water - advising people if they were over-the-limit and needed to wait a while b4 they drove anywhere. They also provided a one-minute pause between performances when the audience were encouraged to pick-up litter.
Makes a pleasant change!

BEST WISHES TO ALL FOR 2011
---------------------------------------
When you're lonely I wish you love
When you're down I wish you joy
When you're troubled I wish you peace
When things are complicated I wish you simple beauty
When things are chaotic I wish you inner silence
When things look empty I wish you hope...
---------------------------------------------------------
Finding it hard to post. What I do achieve takes me so long, and I've lost a few attempts so I've had to give up. Depression and brain powerlessness are working against my will at this stage.
Last day of the year. I had hoped to make more of it.
All who've contributed here, and elsewhere in care2, have my appreciation.

It's evening here in my garden. Still hot, humid and sprinkling rain now and then. A cricket is chirruping somewhere in the dark.
Back indoors I turn my attention to the talent of Placido Domingo.
