MISCELLANEOUS Bison stuff....
The buffalo represents the people and the universe and should always be treated with respect, for was he not here before the two-legged peoples, and is he not generous in that he gives us our homes and our food?

The buffalo is wise in many things, and, thus, we should learn from him and should always be as a relative with him. ~ Black Elk, from the Sacred Pipe

I love the last pic, June especially the beautiful white buffalo.  Remember Miracle, the sacred white buffalo (not an albino)?   She was only 10 yrs old when she died of natural causes (buffalo often live to be 25-30 yrs old).  She was the first of the sacred white buffalo to be born since 1933).  Read the complete story here:

BUFFALO WILD

We are truly honored to have the friendship and active support of the celebrated Native musician, poet and activist John Trudell, and Native musicians and activists GoodShield and Mignon Geli. During last fall's Road Show, John Trudell joined us for a special event. After BFC's presentation, John wrote the poem "Buffalo Wild" which Goodshield and Mignon Geli put to music, and Mike Mease brought to life with powerful buffalo imagery.

Please enjoy and share this amazing, collaborative piece! Click here or on the video image above to watch.  Sorry the video won't post.  Sigh!
