Eva, thank you so much for joining our group and thank you also for volunteering with the BFC! It takes special people to do that. I'm glad you posted your links to your blog and photos and I hope everyone will check them out. We would love for you to post some of your pics within our group and you could also start a thread about current info regarding Montana, the bison or Yellowstone Park. We would love to be as knowledgeable as possible on what's going on and what we can do to help.
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to introduce myself. I lived in Montana a few years, but have recently moved back to WA. In MT I have volunteered in the summer with Buffalo Field Campaign. I looooove the buffalo.
Jason, we are so happy to have you as our newest member! I, too, love bison (although I've never seen one in person) and I have fought long and hard for their freedom for years. Please post any stories you have about Yellowstone, bison, wolves, elks or other nature stuff. If you have photos post them as well....we all love to look at photos! We hope to see you around a lot!

Many people will walk in and out of your life. But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger. If someone betrays you once, it is his fault; If he betrays you twice, it is your fault. Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.
He, who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses much more; He who loses faith, loses all. Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
Friends, you and me, You brought another friend, And then there were three, We started our group, Our circle of friends, There is no beginning or end
Remember,, Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift
So enjoy this day, Show your friends how much you care .... Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND. If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends.

Marian, we're so glad to have you as our newest member! How awesome that Yellowstone is in your backyard! Bison are one of my favorite causes and if you can help in any way be sure to post information! Of course if you have any other causes in the Yellowstone area that you would like to bring to our attention please do so! We would love to hear them so we can all work together for the good to try and resolve them.'
O.K., I guess I forgot to add a 2nd. Anyway, 2nd, I am really happy to see that there is a group here that is dedicated to Yellowstone. It's a special place that really belongs to the world and deserves it's own group. So...Thank you!!!
First, let me say that I wasn't invited by anyone, I just happened to spot this group and thought that since Yellowstone is my backyard, this is the place for me. I hope no one will mind if I drop in from time to time.
I want to welcome a dear banana eating clicker from Vote4cause named Gorilly!!! Hello Gorilly and welcome! Please post as much as you can as this group needs a good mouthpiece for the voice of all endangered or abused animals! Here is a poem Gorilly posted and unfortunately it says it all:
Only after the last tree has been cut down; Only after the last fish has been caught; Only after the last river has been poisoned; Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.
Gorilly, if there is not a thread for non-yellowstone animal causes (like the gorilla) feel free to start one. Gorillas are very dear to me!

I love animals and would do anything within my power to help them. If there is something going on in my area, I'm there! My goals in joining care2 and this group is to try and gather people with similar interests in my area to start making a difference here in Miami FL and to be informed on whats going on and what I can do to help ^_^
if anyone in the area (or just have the same intrests as i do) please don't be afraid to write me or add me as a friend.

Janet K! so glad you found us again!!! You know we didn't think to post on the other group that we started this one although I thought we emailed all our contacts!! Your perserverance is very important to causes like these and we value your support and input!! Your help and ideas are greatly appreciated!
HeyVicky !!! So thrilled to see you decided to take the initiative on bringing this vitally important cause back to life !!! it took so long for me to find the new group......I'll admiton even really checking on the old one....seemed you were the only one occasionally popping in....I too never received a reply to my contacts with the host. Anyway....here I am....anxious to learn.... to you and the other co-hosts for your commitmentto the plight of the bison(& their Yellowstone companions!).

Erika, what a blessing to be able to see wolf packs!!!
Janice, I pray they will stop the snowmobiles in the park! I picture a park as beautiful and serene!! Not filled with a lot of loud, boisterous machines and people. I think observance of wildlife and nature should be quiet and peaceful.
Welcome Janice and Janet to our group! Hope everyone has some great ideas on how to help the bison and other endangered species!
Janice, I bet that was very sad to watch the poor baby bison and I, too, wonder what happened to him. It is so unfair what these magnificent creatures have to go through to just 'be'. I hope times are changing for them. They are true survivors in every sense of the word and it would be a tragic loss for this country if they disappeared altogether! Did you read the article Teresa posted on what happened when the wolves were eradicated I believe from Yellowstone many years ago? Very interesting! The changes that took place after they brought them back were wonderful!!!

Just wanted to thankyou for the invitation. I've been to Yellowstone a couple times...one in the winter when there was lots of snow and snow mobiles. Had some mixed feelings about the noise of the snowmobiles but everyone was clearly having a good time. I have a very sad and vivid picture that comes to my mind from the winter visit. It was of a young calf standing loyally besides his mother after she had died. I had the feeling he did not know where to go or what to do, so he just stood there breathing over his mom. I've often wondered what became of him. I know wolves will adopt another wolf but I wasn't sure about Bison. It was a year about 10 years ago when they were concerned that there wasn't enough food to support the number of Bison in the park.

Thank you Nance for the invite. I am never been to Yellowstone, maybe one day I will be lucky enough to see such beauty. The protection and welfare of the Bison and the Wolves that roam Yellowstone are very important causes for me, as all the wildlife in Yellowstone is.
I am happy to be hear amongst like minded friends.
Wow, overnight this group has grown!!! I would like to thank everyone for accepting invitations form Nance, Teresa and myself! Together we all can help these endangered animals! THEY NEED US ALL!!
So welcome newcomers, Leslie, Stanley, Eric, Sajsha, Susan, Erin Susana and Erika! Hope I didn't miss anyone!
And thanks Carrie and Firedancer on the pictures and permission to use them!!
Greenstars for everyone!!
P.S. By the way, for those of you have been to Yellowstone, please post your adventures on the 'Ever Been to Yellowstone' thread!! We can't wait to read all about it!!

Thanks for the invite. I loved Yellowstone -- hiked around there for a week. I was privileged to see two packs of wolves and one solo (from a very far distance back).
Thank You for the invite. I have been to Yellowstone. It's a grand and beautiful place and we need to do what we can to protect the wildlife within that beauty.
Thanks Nance for the invite. Havent been to Yellowstone, but the Bison is one of the three Endangered species that I spend alot of time doing what I can to help protect. I hope I can add to this group as well as learn from it.
Glad to be invited, I visited Yellowstone in July of 2005, and it was fantastic. Mosquitos had given us enough grief when we were in Isle Royale, so we avoided them when we backpacked in Yellowstone. To walk in the same area the Grizzly walks, was incredible. We stayed in the Lamar valley for the most part, and actually saw a mother grizzly with two cubs cross the road near us.
If you have never gone, plan it, and do it. Life is too short to miss this one.
Hi Vicky, glad you like the pic. I find all my pics. all over the web and then I tag them myself.Feel free to use any of mine you like and if you need something tagged let me know.
Yes Vicky, You can use any picture I have.I will send more. there are a few sites that have these pictures.I will try to find them for you.

Hi Carrie!!! So glad you made it! I know you will have lots to offer this group, too! I adore the picture of the bison and the Native American's too! Where do you and Firedancer find them? Simply georgeous!!
I'm Carrie..thanks to Vicky for the invite.I haven't yet been to Yellowstone, but would love to go someday.I love animals and anything I can help with in their preservation and protection I'm all for.
Gase, Pat and Jacqui so good to see you! Me, Teresa and Nance never could get in touch with the owner of the Yellowstone Bison group so we decided to create another group to discuss the beauty and the losses of Yellowstone and other neighboring states out west. We need good people like all of you to discuss solutions and ways to help these endangered animals, plants and trees, too! (they all depend on each other) Make yourselves at home and feel free to open discussions or comment on other ones. Post pictures, too! Jacqui, let me know when you go to Yellowstone and I'll go with you!! LOL
for the invite Vicki. Haven't made it to "Yellowstone" yet, but is on my 'todo' list. Just praying I make it before all the truly wonderful natural things are gone.

Teresa!! YAY!! You're here!! If there's something you want to add just go for it!! All help appreciated. I wasn't sure how to get in touch with you and Nance so I went ahead and started. I need to try and figure how to get the 2 bison pics NEXT to each other - not underneath. Hmmm? Any suggestions anyone?

I didn't realize we had more new members!!! Hello and welcome Venetia, Tracy, June, John, Randall and Gase!! I know you are all animal lovers so anything you'd like to inform the group about these issues feel free to post and enlighten us! Please introduce yourselves to the other members and once again, thank you for joining us!
Hi Steve & Michael!!! So glad to see you and I know you will have lots to contribute! Nance & Teresa (the other hosts) haven't had a chance to make it over yet and we're still trying to set up this group so I really need your help! Steve, since you're familiar with Yellowstone you will be able to give us first hand accounts of what's happening (or not happening) there and Michael, even if you've never been there (or have you?), your input about the goings on in Yellowstone will be immeasurable to our group! Thank you both for joining and we hope to see many posts from you!
Thank you for the invitation. I have spent time in Yellowstone, great area. I am a lover of animals, I'am part Native American, and believe that we must protect all animals.
I'd like to introduce you to our group! I am Vicky, Host and Nance and Teresa are the Co-Hosts and we are here to welcome you! We appreciate feedback and postings concerning not only the bison but other endangered and/or threatened species in and around Yellowstone!
Please take the time to introduce yourselves and tell us a little about your causes in life! Only you can make our group a success and only you can help in the fight for animals!
