Hi everyone, newbie here 10:41 PM
Thank you so much for inviting me Monica. I am sorry it took a while to post but I was hoping to wait until I was more organized and could be here for the group more. With Macy's surgery coming up, the stress has nearly did us in. I know I may not be here daily, or for days on end for that matter, but please know that my friends here at care2 are all I have, and they have gotten me through much that I would not have made it through on my own. I appreciate that and think about you all daily. I just hope I can be here for the group when needed and not dissapoint you all. Love you all and thanks again for the invite.

Let me tell you that I am a Mexican who likes your country; I've never been in Argentina, but I can feel and taste the flavors and all the good stuff Argentina offers to us. I live in a city that it calls itself "the place where the Nation begins", Tijuana. Well, maybe it's not where Our America begins (maybe, ends), but I am sure it's one of the places where many people admire, respect and love people of Argentina; in Tijuana, you can find a lot of argentines living, working, eating (chimichurri, bifes, etcetera) and drinking argentine wine.
I had have and actually have argentine friends; one of them, a very important for me and I what I'am now, is profesor Atilio Borón Labruna, my teacher at UNAM at the late 70's (he is o he was rector of a University in BsAs). As he, I have many other friends.
One of my dearest argentine autors is Julio Cortazar, in particulary, Rayuela (Horacio Oliveira and Maga) and Astor Piazzola is a marvelous musician.
I would tell you other things that meke me close to your country, but, now I would like to said you thanks and have a good day, and, sure, I will feel al home. At last, look this web page and you will find a gorgeous astronomical picture of the sky of Patagonia. I hope you will enjoy as I did.
See you later and thanks Monica!!

I trust that I learn lots about your country as I know very little. The only travelling I do is within Canada, and the States abit. I guess that will change due to the passport regulations.... So here I come World I'm travelling via the internet!

Margareth. Buenos Aires is a beautiful and interesting city (and now, because it´s time for elections, it will be more interesting). This year, we have two elections, one in june for our governor or chief of government). If you are coming here, I would recommend Florida Street, La Boca, San Telmo and Plaza de Mayo.
Meanwhile, I'm going to be in Argentina in June this year. I have a friend who plays with a tango group, Quintango, based in Washington, DC. I've joined their group trip to Buenos Aires June 13-19, but I want to spend more than just one week in country. I've never been to South America before. I'll be looking around here, hoping for suggestions on itineraries and whatever other information people have.
Looking forward to getting to know you.

He estado viviendo más de 20 años en América Latina...y me mi gustaria presentarles nuestro proyecto turismo "latino" (un idea)....
Nuestro Proyecto...Our Project:
'Inside Central America' y pronto.. 'Inside South America'
Requires a responsible representative in each Central American country to answer inquiries from abroad and to make reservations with national travel providers...as we know, Costa Rica is far advanced in this area, however the problem in CR is not enough qualifed bi lingual guides for independent travelers (not "mass tourism")with vehicle who charge fair prices (many of our "gringo" real estate speculators, some who were working illegally, por supuesto, have been booted out of CR and now are in Nicaragua and Panamá)and will make reservations and eco tours in advance for clients. entonces....in the rest of Central America most small and medium sized travel providers either are not able to or will not answer e mail and fax inquiries, even if worded in spanish! Most websites are in Spanish and many have English translations that are terrible at best. "Envidia" prevails between many operators and some overcharge clients and delay paying employees and providers. Mostly unregulated. Our project also plans setting up online stores in English for vendors of artesanias and other traditional and non traditional products for export...
We require a bit of technical help, some html and design...entonces....
‘INSIDE CENTRAL AMERICA...........’

Its me and I just wanted to say hello aka hola to all my amigos and amigas here on FOA.
I didn't do anyhting much interesting. I went on my first camping trip, and rode a horse for the first time. I took on some odd jobs around my neighborhood, but that is it! Sounds like you had such a great time. My 2 nephews, and my niece are out in Nebraska, and my niece is going to be staying there, and my sister in law will be coming out with my 2 nephews in November, so I am excited to see how big they have gotten, when they left, my nephew Joshua was 4 months old, when he comes back he will be 9 months old, it is a big gap, but I am so excited to see them! Hope all is going well! Always,
Thanks Ashley and Vic
The trip was good. The best part was, I got to spend time with my grandbaby That is always fun. We swam in the pool, went to Jamboree and the mall play area and just had fun. She is so funny to watch and listen to her jibberish.
what have you all been up to since I have been gone?
Hello Tomy, welcome back.
C2C has been very quiet lately.
Welcome back Tomy, how was your trip? I recently went on 3 camping trips, and I am going to be renting a cabin with my mom and some of her friends in the cascades this coming saturday, and I cannot wait! Also, a warm welcome to all of the new members of Friends of Argentina, can't wait to talk to everyone! Always,

Muchos Gracias, Tomy! I had a great Birthday, it was so much fun! Sorry I am writing this late, my brother's computer crashed 5 days before I moved, I moved yesterday, and the person that I moved in with luckily has the internet, so I am trying to catch up on everything that I missed, which is apparently alot! Thanks again! Always,
I hope you have a wonderful birthday
It has been a while, moving is a kick in the pants! Im still getting used to the new house and such. So how where your trips? It sounds so exciting to go to all of those places! I traveling so much, especially to foreign countries! I haven't been to many countries, I would love to travel more when I get older! It was great hearing from you! Always,
Its always good to hear from you. I am happy that things are going well with.
long time no speak! Don't worry nothing that important happened! We moved onto the air force base out here, and on the 25 of June, we might move back to Illinois! I am so excited to move back, but not that excited because I am not sure yet wether we are going back or not!
Its Fathers day it the
To All my friends who are fathers in the or or anywhere else in the world Happys fathers Day.
Its Good to be a Father
I have been traveling for the last few weeks
In Argentian, Bahia Blanca, Coronel Suarz, Pique, Paun, Darregueira, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Izazia, and various other towns and cities there.
In the USA Miami, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Ocoee,
Lots of travel.
I am stabilized for a couple of weeks and will start out again around the end of the month.
I love to travel but it can be tiring.
How are you doing Amigo
And Teresa, I agree with Vic, The profile photo is cool.
Hi all - Good to see you back Tomy. Have fun at NASCAR and the All-Star game!
Teresa - I love your new picture.
Back in the USA
I have been traveling the last week.
Not a lot of opportunities to be online.
I hope you all are doing well.
I would very much like to hear how you are doing or just say hola or hello or whatever you would like.
How are you today Ashley
Sorry to hear you cannot stay long at your brothers.
You are in my prayers.
Sad news, my problems have gotten worse. I am now not going to be able to live with my brother on the airforce base out here for the next 8 months, but for only a month from when we move, in June. We do not know where we will be going from July to February of 2006, because we have no other options, we are thinking about a shelter, but we cannot find one near us, My mom is thinking about signing custody of me over to my sister Christina, she lives in Illinois, and she has a computer, so I would be able to keep in touch. I am really unsure about what is going to happen in my future, and it is really scary, because I have never felt this way before! I at least have peace with knowing that I will be here and have a place to live with until July. Thank you for your support Patty, and everyone, it is greatly appreciated. Until next time. Always,
I hope you are having a good Sunday.
Adios amigos and amigas
The Following is a link to click and feed needy children in Argentina! Use it in good health! http://www.porloschicos.com/PorLosChicos.NET/main_eng.htm
I am doing well today. It is a beautiful fall day here in southern Provincia de Buenos Aires.
I have had a touch of the flu but feeling better. I will ride my bike today for sure.
Adios amigos and amigas
How's Tomy and everyone today?
Well, what I know now is this: We have to leave Washington by August or we will be moved into military housing with my brother, for 90 days, and I don't want to mess with my schooling, so we are hoping we can have enough money to leave before August! My heart really is back out in Illinois, so I cannot wait to go back and retrieve it! Always,
Home is where the heart is so says the poem
Sorry to hear you will not have good access to a pc very often but talk to us when ever you can.
In the meantime, talk a lot so you can tell us everything you know before you go. I promise I will read it all.
i have wonderful news, but also some bad news! I am moving back home, before february of 2006! Hopefully in a couple of months, so it won't interfere with school! the bad news is that i will not be able to communicate more frequently with everyone because where i will be moving, she doesn't have a computer, so I will have to go to the library, and I will also not have a guaranteed mode of transportation, I will post more information when I get it, but for now, I will talk to everyone later! Always,
How the weather?
I hope everyone is enjoying their day
Thanks for looking! Goebbert's is such a beautiful place, they had just recently gotten rid of their "zoo" which I was so glad for, because I think that it is wrong! The picture of Chicago is not the one that I thought it was, but it is Chicago! I love planes, and travelling, so i think that the captain Ashley made sense, except I could never really get the guts to fly one! AAAAHHH now everyone knows what i look like ! My brother taught me what almost every button on a plane is! I don't think that i will be trying to fly a plane anytime soon though! Hi everyone! Vic your kitty is so cute! Always,
I'm with ya on that one!
Thanks for joining our group of friends
I hope you enjoy it here and unwind all you care2
Be sure and check out the Flags thread where you can tell us where you are and where you have been.
I especially like the pumpkin farm and the skyline shot of Chicago
and also the one of "Captian Ashley"
Please let me know when you are flying the C17, I will stay home, just kidding
Thanks for the invite to your group Tomy..
this looks like a great place to relax and kick off the sandals!
I appreciate your kindness and look forward to your group..I hope
everyone is having a spectacular day, Love light & peace ... Candace
We were talking about how some militant wifes are slave drivers
What were you talking about on the "air"?
I am a militant....my husband is busy doing the laundry right now.
I just added some pictures to my album! Not much, but worth the look Always,
I will, the only other country I visited other than the US is Germany, it was nice there. My brother will be "visiting" Iraq in July, he will be out there for 4 months, so hopefully everything is ok. Hi Vic ! Nice to meet you patty . They should make the flags for The states in the United States, that would be fun! Well I have to go, my computer was down for a couple of days, and I have so much internet homework to do! Talk to You all later! Always,
Hey Ashley, Patty, Vic, Sharon and all our other friends on Friends,
Go to Gaston A's profile and check out the new pictures.
He and I visited a local radio station and were a big hit. I actually haven't talked to anyone who heard us but in my mind we were a big hit.
Anyway we had a good time.
Did I introduce you to our resident spelunker and militant activist Patty. She is a militant according to her hubby. I think she is very involved in things that matter to us all.
Patty, meet Ashley. She is a new member who lives in Washington.
When you get a chance you might want to say hello.
Hello Ashley and welcome to Friends of Argentina
I hope you enjoy being a member and please post anything you would like to talk about.
Be sure and visit the Flags of your country thread and add your flag and any other countries you have visited.
Don't forget to say hello to Vic
Obviously I am new to this group. Thanks for the invite Tomy I really appreciate it, ever since I moved out to Washington, I was hoping to find somewhere I belong, and even though I have made friends and live with most of my family, I still don't really feel like I belong, hopefully this group will give me a sense of that. I did a project in school a couple of years back about Argentina, so I know basic info. about it, and I love the coffee from there , i also think that Eva Paron was an amazing person! thanks again! Always,
thanks for the smile you put on my face.
I guess it was just one of those moments.
your loneliness has passed, Tomy.
Just remember, we may not be here all time - but we are here in spirit.
Is it my breath?
I took a bath today.
Maybe I should chew on a mint
Our amiga Patty is recieving from her University a very prestigeous award.
"2005 Outstanding Woman Student"
Congratulations, you deserve it Patty. You are to be commended for your hard work. Simply the best.

At least for a few days.
I will be traveling with no time for pc's.
I look forward to seeing Buenos Aires again.
I never get tired of that beautiful city.
So Happy trails to you until we meet again.
I'm new as a co-host so your tip is very useful.I will use that and will begin to invite people over.I really don't know why I didn't tell you about my group!Shame on me! Let's blame it on the puppies! Haha! Seriously! I'm sleep deprived!
Remember, you do not need a banner...you can just post a link.... I am not sure what your address is, I will leave it to you Claudia. Good Grief those cheerleaders are going nutz!
I have actually met one other Argentine who was not crazy about soccer.
She starts to college next year and her course of study is psychology.
Love to all
Haha!!! I try not to watch it! I did when I had to with my last boyfriend, but it's the most boring thing I know!
I guess I'm just an occasional Argentina's team fan.People from other countries are surprised when I say I'm not a soccer fan. They believe everyone is crazy about soccer around here! I'm not!
I'm a bit more enthusiastic with rugby, tennis, volley, polo and yachting. But don't ask me about sports facts and those things unless is yachting. The others are just an interesting show to watch!

All Americas are so beautiful! The US is so beautiful; so many things...may be unknown here...I always say the US has a lot of things we don't have and Argentina has a lot of things the US doesn't have, so that's great !

Yes,I agree with you,Maria. This is a beautiful country that has a lot of a lot of different things to know,to enjoy and discover.Smaller than the USA but with a similar variety of landscapes and magical points. With the addition of very friendly people who like to meet new friends from all over the world.
It's great to have you here,Maria. With Tomy busy in Florida and myself with not as much time as I had before, having you present at the group is a great way to have things happening!
The puppies are all 8 fine as well as the mom.I'm not having the best of times at night, because they are always doing noises while they sleep and most of all while they lactate. They're always chirping and barking in the high way they do.God! It's a nightmare! I barely sleep 4 hours in a row! So,now I'm goijng to bed.Maybe this night they will let me sleep better! Have a great Sunday all!
Thanks for everything, yes, I do miss a lot, sometimes more than others, even when I consider California my second home.
It is a beautiful province, that has a lot to offer, city, mountains, prairies, rivers, lakes, forests...
It is a tranquil place, we take our time to do stuff, the perennial vacation attitude, once, while walking on a street in Buenos Aires, someone stopped me and asked me if I was from Cordoba, he told me that my walking pace told him so!!.
We have a unique sense of humor, as well, too bad I can't find a graphic joke in english to show it...
But, I do have a link for those interested.
It is a link to a site about La Cumbre, where sister currently lives.
This place and some surrounding little towns, like Los Cocos were originally english little colonies, therefore, it is very common to walk around town, specially in La Cumbre and hear some people speaking in english.
It is a beautiful place, with beautiful houses and beautiful people, in fact, I think that I might move there when I get to be a little old lady!.
Hello everyone!!! l'd like to share with you this nice site....ecotourism...in the meanwhile Tommy is back and Mariana sends us something from Cordoba ( by the way thank you Mariana for joining this group!!!!
love to all of you!!!! cheers...and do have a wonderful Sunday!!!!!!!
Hello, everyone, I didn't know there was a group for Argentina!!.

I'm from Cordoba, but now I live in California.
Oh, boy, I'm happy I found this place!.
