Hi everyone, newbie here 10:41 PM Thank you so much for inviting me Monica. I am sorry it took a while to post but I was hoping to wait until I was more organized and could be here for the group more. With Macy's surgery coming up, the stress has nearly did us in. I know I may not be here daily, or for days on end for that matter, but please know that my friends here at care2 are all I have, and they have gotten me through much that I would not have made it through on my own. Let me tell you that I am a Mexican who likes your country; I've never been in Argentina, but I can feel and taste the flavors and all the good stuff Argentina offers to us. I live in a city that it calls itself "the place where the Nation begins", Tijuana. Well, maybe it's not where Our America begins (maybe, ends), but I am sure it's one of the places where many people admire, respect and love people of Argentina; in Tijuana, you can find a lot of argentines living, working, eating (chimichurri, bifes, etcetera) and drinking argentine wine.
I had have and actually have argentine friends; one of them, a very important for me and I what I'am now, is profesor Atilio Borón Labruna, my teacher at UNAM at the late 70's (he is o he was rector of a University in BsAs). As he, I have many other friends.
One of my dearest argentine autors is Julio Cortazar, in particulary, Rayuela (Horacio Oliveira and Maga) and Astor Piazzola is a marvelous musician.
I would tell you other things that meke me close to your country, but, now I would like to said you thanks and have a good day, and, sure, I will feel al home. At last, look this web page and you will find a gorgeous astronomical picture of the sky of Patagonia. I hope you will enjoy as I did.

Margareth. Buenos Aires is a beautiful and interesting city (and now, because it´s time for elections, it will be more interesting). This year, we have two elections, one in june for our governor or chief of government). If you are coming here, I would recommend Florida Street, La Boca, San Telmo and Plaza de Mayo.
Meanwhile, I'm going to be in Argentina in June this year. I have a friend who plays with a tango group, Quintango, based in Washington, DC. I've joined their group trip to Buenos Aires June 13-19, but I want to spend more than just one week in country. I've never been to South America before. I'll be looking around here, hoping for suggestions on itineraries and whatever other information people have.

What do I know about Argentina? That it is far… far… from my country. And that you speak Spanish that unfortunately I can’t speak. But you know something? Both Spanish and Romanian came from Latin, so I can understand an unexpectedly great number of words.

Requires a responsible representative in each Central American country to answer inquiries from abroad and to make reservations with national travel providers...as we know, Costa Rica is far advanced in this area, however the problem in CR is not enough qualifed bi lingual guides for independent travelers (not "mass tourism")with vehicle who charge fair prices (many of our "gringo" real estate speculators, some who were working illegally, por supuesto, have been booted out of CR and now are in Nicaragua and Panamá)and will make reservations and eco tours in advance for clients. entonces....in the rest of Central America most small and medium sized travel providers either are not able to or will not answer e mail and fax inquiries, even if worded in spanish! Most websites are in Spanish and many have English translations that are terrible at best. "Envidia" prevails between many operators and some overcharge clients and delay paying employees and providers. Mostly unregulated. Our project also plans setting up online stores in English for vendors of artesanias and other traditional and non traditional products for export...

I didn't do anyhting much interesting. I went on my first camping trip, and rode a horse for the first time. I took on some odd jobs around my neighborhood, but that is it! Sounds like you had such a great time. My 2 nephews, and my niece are out in Nebraska, and my niece is going to be staying there, and my sister in law will be coming out with my 2 nephews in November, so I am excited to see how big they have gotten, when they left, my nephew Joshua was 4 months old, when he comes back he will be 9 months old, it is a big gap, but I am so excited to see them! The trip was good. The best part was, I got to spend time with my grandbaby That is always fun. We swam in the pool, went to Jamboree and the mall play area and just had fun. She is so funny to watch and listen to her jibberish.

I am back in Argentina. Its winter here and a little colder than I like but thats why we have coats and sweaters right.
Buenos Aires was very nice, it never seems to get very cold there.
Had a very nice time in sunny Florida

I have been traveling for the last few weeks
In Argentian, Bahia Blanca, Coronel Suarz, Pique, Paun, Darregueira, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Izazia, and various other towns and cities there.
In the USA Miami, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Ocoee,
Lots of travel.
I am stabilized for a couple of weeks and will start out again around the end of the month.
I love to travel but it can be tiring.

Hello Everyone,
Sad news, my problems have gotten worse. I am now not going to be able to live with my brother on the airforce base out here for the next 8 months, but for only a month from when we move, in June. We do not know where we will be going from July to February of 2006, because we have no other options, we are thinking about a shelter, but we cannot find one near us, My mom is thinking about signing custody of me over to my sister Christina, she lives in Illinois, and she has a computer, so I would be able to keep in touch. I am really unsure about what is going to happen in my future, and it is really scary, because I have never felt this way before! I at least have peace with knowing that I will be here and have a place to live with until July. Thank you for your support Patty, and everyone, it is greatly appreciated. Until next time. Always,

Well, what I know now is this: We have to leave Washington by August or we will be moved into military housing with my brother, for 90 days, and I don't want to mess with my schooling, so we are hoping we can have enough money to leave before August! Thanks for looking! Goebbert's is such a beautiful place, they had just recently gotten rid of their "zoo" which I was so glad for, because I think that it is wrong! The picture of Chicago is not the one that I thought it was, but it is Chicago! I love planes, and travelling, so i think that the captain Ashley made sense, except I could never really get the guts to fly one! AAAAHHH now everyone knows what i look like ! Obviously I am new to this group. Thanks for the invite Tomy I really appreciate it, ever since I moved out to Washington, I was hoping to find somewhere I belong, and even though I have made friends and live with most of my family, I still don't really feel like I belong, hopefully this group will give me a sense of that. I did a project in school a couple of years back about Argentina, so I know basic info. about it, and I love the coffee from there

Haha!!! I try not to watch it! I did when I had to with my last boyfriend,but it's the most boring thing I know!
I guess I'm just an occasional Argentina's team fan.People from other countries are surprised when I say I'm not a soccer fan.They believe everyone is crazy about soccer around here! I'm not!
I'm a bit more enthusiastic with rugby,tennis,volley,polo and yachting.But don't ask me about sports facts and those things unless is yachting.The others are just an interesting show to watch!

Yes,I agree with you,Maria.This is a beautiful country that has a lot of a lot of different things to know,to enjoy and discover.Smaller than the USA but with a similar variety of landscapes and magical points.With the addition of very friendly people who like to meet new friends from all over the world.
It's great to have you here,Maria.With Tomy busy in Florida and myself with not as much time as I had before,having you present at the group is a great way to have things happening!
The puppies are all 8 fine as well as the mom.I'm not having the best of times at night,because they are always doing noises while they sleep and most of all while they lactate.They're always chirping and barking in the high way they do.God! It's a nightmare! I barely sleep 4 hours in a row! So,now I'm goijng to bed.Maybe this night they will let me sleep better! Have a great Sunday all!

It is a beautiful province, that has a lot to offer, city, mountains, prairies, rivers, lakes, forests...
It is a tranquil place, we take our time to do stuff, the perennial vacation attitude, once, while walking on a street in Buenos Aires, someone stopped me and asked me if I was from Cordoba, he told me that my walking pace told him so!!.
We have a unique sense of humor, as well, too bad I can't find a graphic joke in english to show it...
But, I do have a link for those interested.
It is a link to a site about La Cumbre, where sister currently lives.
This place and some surrounding little towns, like Los Cocos were originally english little colonies, therefore, it is very common to walk around town, specially in La Cumbre and hear some people speaking in english.
It is a beautiful place, with beautiful houses and beautiful people, in fact, I think that I might move there when I get to be a little old lady!.

Hello every new member! Mar'ia again from Argentina. I will introduce myself l'm Tommy's wife. This will sound funny but the real truth is that lm not so funny as he is writting and posting articles. I'm sure Claudia will agree with me about this beautiful country, and l ask you all just to post any questions you would like to know about here. What can l tell you?? His first time here was incredible. Buenos Aires really caught him. He got admired with museums, ships, theatres, restaurants, and all the surroundings of the Capital city. He really enjoyed Tango shows, the River, and mostly people. And as Tommy there is a lot of people from abrod visiting. Now the economy makes this country more attractive to everybody.
So l'll do my best feel free to write what are your likes and l will tell you the best to do .
