This Care2 group is designed for the further education of those interested in the world as a whole.

My original interest was islands and resulted in a Yahoogroups list called OceanicIslands. A couple of years later, I realized that I could not report on countries that were not islands and so a sister group CountriesWorldwide was born.
Each post approx once per month to avoid overkill in the mailbox.
Postings are usually quite extensive and a bit big for these boxes but I'll post resumes here from time to time to whet the appetite.

Do join and do relate your travel or study experiences regarding Islands and Countries.

The subject is always according to Continent and Country or according to Ocean (incl tributaries) and Island as you will see as we go on.

I hope you will enjoy this group and contribute whatever and whenever you can.

Sure thing!  The islands come first - like Isle of Man, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Ireland and Madagascar.

Actually, my first love is islands and it was the first of my two Yahoogroups  i.e.

I am planning a tour to few Indonesian Islands including Flores, Bali etc. and want to board the live aboard service which offers its guests to stay on board for one or more nights. I guess various water activities linke sailing, kayaking etc. could be best enjoyed at these places. Can anybody tell me which the right time to visit there is?
