Race Matters October 15, 2004 1:09 PM

From one of the few people on Eath to make an Ivy League education look cool we get sophisticated analysis of the modern political system and come to realize that our efforts at fixing the system may be sometimes misguided. In his text, West argues for a broader understanding of race issues. Instead of focusing on racial divides, he highlights the class structure in America. Working from this angle, there is more progress and less tension. Political analysis sounds dull, but read this book and you will find that West's gently elegant writing style will prove insirational.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I've heard of this one and look forward to reading it. It's less and less about race and more and more about social structure - until someone gets treated badly because of their race.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
