Hi, I too am an avid reader. I see some of you are enjoying Ann Rice - one of my favorites. I love to hear about any authors that are enjoyed by many. For the most part, I am into just about anything except some kinds of fantasy and horror. The latest author I found, and have tried to read any books on, is Wilbur Smith, concentrating mainly on his series on S.African adventures. Historical novels, science fiction(not so much of lately) Mystery, in fact I would say just about any genre that I can get.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Hello, I'm new and an avid reader. Mostly sci-fi, fantasy and horror, but if it's good I'd go any printed things (novels, short stories, plays, poetry). My favorite periods for general litterature are XVth and XVIth century in Europe, XVIIth and XVIIIth century in France and all authors of 1930s-1970S century in US.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I'm new to the group, too. I have always loved to read since I learned how. I am finding as I age, my way of reading has changed drastically. Where I once forced myself to finish a book, I no longer do so. Although I still read to learn, I also like to be entertained, so I have turned to lighter hearted reads than ever before. I also enjoy Wilbur Smith's books. I like almost any genre, but don't like romance books. Too mushy and too many sex scenes. Not that I have anything against sex, mind you ~ lol ~ but I don't really like to read about it! I love horror, really long, good novels, mystery and detection, forensics, and books about women bonding. peace Lizzzie  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
