Has anyone heard of her, or read any of her stuff? She writes fantasy, often reworkings of well known fairy tales, and her latest book is called Sunshine, about vampires. She is one of my favorite authors.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I guess no one has. I really like her a lot (She's one of my two favorite authors) and I think that almost anyone would enjoy her work.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Her first book, "Beauty, a retelling of the story of Beauty and the Beast" is the book that helped me survive high school. All her female characters are anti-stereotypical, in the sense that, as she says, her books are about girls who do things. They don't wait around to get rescued. They do something about their situations. They are often scared, and need some help at times, but they don't just sit there. I'd love to hear what you think after you read some of her stuff.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
Hi Michelle April 11, 2005 10:24 AM

Seems everyone is rather quiet here lately. I know I am in a reading slump - just been trying to read a lot of the new ones already mentioned in here, but this is a slow process as so many have to be waited for. Life has become a bit busier so my reading time has cut back considerably. This is not an author I know, but it will be a while before I can get around to checking her books out. Thanks for the input.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
