Earth Drum September 14, 2009 9:30 AM

Power Animals From the DVD of Earth Drum by David & Steve Gordon - imagery of the Sacred Canyons and Mesas of the American SouthWest - Trance beats with Taos Log Drums, Incan Pan Flutes, electric and acoustic guitars, world percussion, atmospheric syntesizers and sounds of nature. For more information, visit: http://www.SequoiaRecords.com Floating along the river through canyons of red and gold, peaks of standing stones keep a watchful eye. Joined by his animal ally, the Shaman departs into the waking dream of life, empowered with the knowledge of inner balance. The red rock of the canyon walls ripen into glimmers of gold as the last rays of the sun's light illuminate the sky. A powerful 6/8 beat is played on Taos Council drums, as deep drones of bass lay down the path of power. Incan Pan Pipes tell the story of the animal spirit allies and soaring electric guitar expresses the joy of living in harmony with the earth. The visuals of the southwest canyons and rivers transport us to the end of the Shaman's journey, where the desert sun sets until the next day's dream begins. Thank you for watching. May all peoples of the Earth walk in Peace.

Within the Cloud Lodge September 16, 2009 7:51 AM

From the DVD of Earth Drum by David & Steve Gordon - imagery of the Rocky Mountains and Fall in the forests of New England - Trance beats with Taos Log Drums, Native American Flutes, electric and acoustic guitars, world percussion, atmospheric syntesizers and sounds of nature. Video filmed, produced and edited by: HDenvironments.com. For more information, visit: http://www.SequoiaRecords.com Within the Cloud Lodge Above the deep blue waves, the Shaman can see the shifting shape of the cloud lodge. Now is the time to journey within. Above the waters foam, within the Cloud Lodge, await the Elders, old as the stars. They guide him to find the strength to discover his inner power. Studio notes: To create the soundtrack for the Shaman's medicine lodge journey, we composed a set of hypnotic interlocking patterns played on Incan Pan Pipes, synthesizer and mandolin. Then we added a trance rhythm of world percussion and combined that with ambient electric guitar and fretless bass. To complete the dreamy effect, we used cinematic keyboards. The ocean images help to convey the shifting and ever changing nature of Shamanic journeys. Thanks for listening. Walk in Balance.

Sun Blessing October 10, 2009 8:26 AM

From the DVD of Earth Drum by David & Steve Gordon - imagery of the California Giant Sequoias and Coastal Redwoods - Trance beats with Taos Log Drums, Native American Flutes, electric and acoustic guitars, world percussion, atmospheric syntesizers and sounds of nature. Video filmed, produced and edited by: HDenvironments.com. For more information, visit: http://www.SequoiaRecords.com Sun Blessing (Fire-Heart Edit) Gentle giants of towering redwoods, reaching towards the sun's light. Standing like sentinels, they whisper of ancient wisdom. "Grandfather tree, teach us how to return to balance and resonance with the earth." Wind of the west, bring us understanding, help us find balance. We are each other. Studio notes: To create a feeling of deep peace, an ancient 9/8-4/4 Shamanic polyrhythm is used on a combination of tribal drums with a Dmi flute as well as ambient electric guitar and special drones that serve as a soothing space. Two ancient Mayan chants invoke universal intelligence and cosmic balance. Images of redwood forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest take us into the land of the great trees. Thanks for listening. Walk in Balance.
