Please take a look at the following links belonging to a wonderful friend of mine.
Jane's music unites people working for harmony and peace in the world. She has a warm and wonderful spirit and is a great example of music in action, as a force for supporting human rights and universal peace.
Peace Train - Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens)
A new working of an old song....this song always makes me smile and cry at the same time, as it is so filled with hope; both the lyrics and his voice.
His latest album 'An Other Cup' is very interesting - he uses alot of spiritual quotes and references, particularly Rumi.

What is a Drum Circle?
"The Community Drum Circle is a fun learning experience that is accessible to anyone who wants to participate. Drum Circle participants express themselves collectively by using a chorus of tuned drums, percussion, and vocals to create a musical song together while having a great time."
- Arthur Hull founder of Village Music Circles.
- A music event based on community, where participants sit or stand in a circle playing percussion instruments including drums, bells, shakers etc.
- All music is spontaneous and created in-the-moment.
- A facilitator leads the circle to experience their full potential as a musical orchestra.
- There isn't any audience in the drumcircle, every member is part the team, participating and contributing to the music.
- Participants entrain to the dominant rhythm of the group.
- Rhythm is within all of us, its in our walk, the way we eat, the seasons, day and night. Drumming expresses our own individual rhythm.
- It is the easiest way for people to be involved in music making.
- A facilitator takes all the pressure and worry away from the group, allowing the group to enjoy the music.
- Anyone of any musical ability, age, color or nationality are welcome at a drumcircle.
- Enhances mental clarity and reduces stress
- Community is created when people drum together.
- Great introduction to playing rhythm and percussion techniques.
- Self-expression
- There are many health benefits including, confidence boosting, immune system boosting, relaxation, laughter & sense of well-being is enhanced. It is also great exercise.
- People feel connected after drumming together. Our modern world is creating more and more separation with computers and other means of non-personal communication & interaction. It is fundamental for humans to play and socialize together for happiness.
- Gain practical and social skills, friendships and support.
- Most importantly Drum Circle's are Fun!
