EXPLANATION OF THREADS June 20, 2007 4:38 PM

Dear Members,

To make it easier for all of you to find the graphics you want we have PINNED threads with the URL's to the specific graphics' thread.

To add/snag graphics click on the URL of the thread you want.  That will take you right to the thread.   Once there add/snag your graphic.

We hope this makes it an easier way to navigate through all the threads.

If you have any questions or   complaints please let us know.

  Kathryn, Carrie and Daria

Finding a specific subject can be easy March 25, 2009 4:13 AM

If you want a picture of a DOG.

You may not know just what picture you want, so you can find pictures of Dogs by doing the following.

1  From the home page of the group you will find a menu of links to the topics.  At the bottom of the list you should find 'More Discussions', click this to get a much longer list of topics that have not been 'archived'.

In Explorer, there is the Alt button or a button on your tool bar labeled 'Edit'.  Click for the drop down menu and click 'Find' or 'Find on this page'.  (Different Search engines may have this set up different).

A little window pops up and type in 'dog' but not 'dogs'.  The word dog will find 'dogs' also.  But using 'dogs' will not find 'dog'.

Using the key word search you should be able to find a topic that has pictures similar to what you are looking for.

Open the topic.   (since these topics contain graphics it may take a while for the entire topic to load in your computer.  Even really fast computers,.... so you might be able to look at the top of the list while the bottom is still loading).

Once inside the topic and after the topic is fully loaded,... the 'find' feature can be used to find particular pictures depending on the key words used in the 'Subject' line >> or text that may be included when the picture is posted.  [Text describing the picture helps people use the key word search to find specific pictures].

If you do not find what you are looking for,... go back to the list of 'More Discussions' ...

2  Scroll to the bottom of the list of 'More Discussions' and you will find 'View Archives'.  Click 'View Archives' for a list of 'discussions' that have archived after 30 days since the last post.

Use the search tool to find key words there ie Dogs, Roses, Forests,... what ever general term you think your picture will be titled as.

If you still do not find the picture or graphic you are looking for...

3  Search the web,... find your desired picture and please, please, please post the picture in the topic in this group you think is best titled to have the picture.  Perhaps start a Misc pictures topic for pictures that are multi subject.

What ever key word you used to search for the picture should be used in the 'Subject' so that others can find the picture using the same key word.

In general, any time you find a picture that you find interesting or worth sharing,... Please copy it and post it here for others.

Once the topic is created for a specific key word (you can include several key words in the 'Subject' line) then you can do a reply to that topic.  In the reply you can use additional key words so that,... other people can use the key word search to find your specific picture.

Another thing you can do to make the search easier for others is to write a description of the picture so there are more key words to use to find the picture you have been so kind to post.

Breaking a picture from a web site March 25, 2009 4:20 AM

This post should be replaced with good information that explains how to do it.

The first post to this topic used a photobucket photo.  I could not see the picture.

The picture may no longer be in photobucket so all there is left is an empty frame.

We need instructions how to disconnect a picture from sites like photobucket so that it becomes an independent picture and not an imported picture from another site.

Please delete this post when a description on how to do it is available.

For anyone willing to experiment,... it may be possible to break it away by putting the picture in a writing program or other picture processing program and that might break the picture from the link to the site.  I really donooo how to do it.
