Send a Message to your Congress-Kritter: Legalise MedMJ at the Federal level! January 23, 2009 10:52 PM

Only the squeaky wheels get the grease.  I know that's an old cliche,  but it became a cliche because it's true.

How serious are we in this group about seeing Medical Marijuana legalised?  Think of the millions of people,  whose quality of life would vastly improve,  if the medical use of Marijuana would be legalised at the Federal level?

Could you please take maybe 10 minutes,  click on the link below,  and urge your Representative to authour and/or sponsor a bill to legalise MedMJ at the Federal level?   And then,  vow to stay on his/her case,  and be the "squeaky wheel"?   If we could get the momentum of a thing like this going,  especially now with the Obama Administration in there,  we could get some things done!

Click on this link,  and find your Rep.!

Thank you,  my friends!

Oh, btw....... January 23, 2009 11:10 PM

Maybe just as an inspiration to get you started,  I tho't I'd share with you the letter I sent to my Congressman,  Phil Roe:

Message Subject: WEBHEA
Message Text: Dear Congressman Roe; Welcome to Washington D.C., and your new Congressional seat. Your office will be getting to know me rather well, and quite soon, because I am an activist on a variety of subjects. I am writing to you today in regards to my chief area of activism. Congressman, I am 47 yrs.old, and have been disabled and retired since October 2006, due to Systemic Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Emphysema, and severe depression. I have no money and no insurance. I was a chef when I retired, and I lived paycheck-to-paycheck. The one and only medication I have found which relieves my pain and the symptoms of my diseases is Marijuana. I am well-aware that you will likely have a negative reaction to that, sir, but I would urge you to visit http://www.rxmarijuana.com/disclaimer.htm and read the testimonials of people who have had their lives saved, by using Marijuana as a medication. I am urging you, sir, to introduce a bill in the House which would de-criminalise Marijuana, at the Federal level, for use by medical patients. I have no idea what the level of support for this would be in the House or the Senate, but nonetheless, I would urge you, in the name of compassion, to introduce such a bill. God Bless you richly as you represent the people of the 1st District of Tennessee. Respectfully yours, Timothy M. Redfern

Now,  my friends,  go and do thou likewise!
