The progress of a city is not just tied to the improvement of the quality of life of your citizens, but also with the respect that they show towards every form of life. You can decide whether or not Slatina will be involved in this development or not. Within this situation it is also a civil behaviour towards animals without owners. Collaboration between Councils and protectionist associations is the only necessary way until this becomes a reality.
Life is always worth more than death, for both a person and a stray dog. Euthanasia is not a good solution: the future is neutering in collaboration with associations.

Anyway, here's my comment:
Killing the stray population is NOT the solution! This not only would cost you more in the future, but the vicious cycle of capture and slaughter will NEVER END!
I beg of you to implement a humane and eventually a cost-effective program such as Trap Neuter and Release. It is a more humane way to solving your problem and perhaps will set a greater standard for the rest of Romania to follow.
Your country has recently been accepted in the European Union. It is time to start anew and set an example for your citizens of hope for a more peaceful and progressive Romania and put the barbaric practices behind.

I received an email from Daniela Dargomir in Braila, asking for RAR's assistance to help an 85 year old woman who is trying to care for 25 dogs in the countryside. Braila is very close to Galati, and we would love to be able to help spay/neuter and give veterinary care for the 25 dogs that this woman looks after, as well as the 2 litters of 3 week old puppies that have been born.
to fully appreciate the economic changes happening in a country
that's been bittersweet to her. Let's give her some hope and answer
her plea . To her this is a huge request. To RAR it feels like the
least we can do. Please help us give hope to a woman who has been
through a lot, but still continues to recognize the bond between her
and her dogs, and who cares enough to reach out for help. Please help
RAR save the lives of many unwanted puppies with the $1500 that is
needed to pay for these surgeries, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and medical help for this special woman's animals.
