10. Fix Firefox formatting problem: white space and broken sentences & paragraphs are driving us nuts and causing a huge waste of space and are an eyesore

Don't use Firefox, but seeing those posts does make me want to edit them.  [ send green star]

Please, please, please!

Firefox crossposts are YUCK, but its impossible to be productive on Care2 using IE. I know this isn't true for lots of folks, but its unbearably slow on my system (and not for any other site, just Care2 ), and switching to Firefox means ugly formatting and lots of needless scrolling.

As bad as IE is, when its an important crosspost, I use IE just to avoid it being an eyesore, and it shouldn't have to be this way. Sorry for the rant, thanks for reading.

Try copying the item into your windows notepad then recopying it from there before pasting into Care2. It solves most all of the Firefox problems. It has worked well for me.  [ send green star]

There is a plug in that you can download called the IE Tab - you can use internet explorer while still using firefox - it works great....  [ send green star]

Just downloaded and will give it a whirl.

Generally, I much prefer Firefox, particularly the spell check feature. This should help even more.

I have to use Firefox because my IE 7 just keeps crashing at the most inopportune times. I manually edit every one of my posts to get rid of all that white space and it really is annoying to have to do that. For reposting stuff, I use NotePad to strip the HTML and keep the formatting consistant. At work, I use the Mac equivalent, TextEdit.

I really shoudn't have to do that, though. This problem needs to be addressed. No other message boards seem to have this confict with Firefox.

I also have to use Firefox at home, and I agree with Christian, though I don't know from experience about posting pics etc. on other message boards.

Posting anything other than straight text and in-house smilies here using Firefox is a major Pain In The Ass.  Lots of people either don't realize, don't know how to, or don't care about taking out all the wasted space in their posts, another PITA for those reading.

Why shouldn't an international site the size of Care2 with members from all over the world be fully compatible with all browsers?  It's not like Firefox is some off-the-wall thing, anyway, it's very popular.
