Wow, This is a great idea for a group. I am Judson WhiteBear, Druid, Shaman, and Geomancer. I have been doing Earth healing ceremonies for about 8 years. I have worked in conjunction with Native American ceremony as well as Sacred Site healings in Ohio, West Virginia, and New York. I hope to put in some of my small experiences as help to others.
Welcome Judson!! Thankyou so much for joining us! I'm going to take some new photos of my Orchard and garden soon and post them up here today or tommorow. Thankyou so much for joining us and for telling others about planting Trees!!!! (((HUGZ))) I will be gathering as many Acorns as I can this summer to start planting also!!! We are up to 59 members!!! Tell a friend about the group we need as many helpers as we can get.
I told Magickal Mari when she invited me to this group that I would be happy to join, but didn't really think I would have much time to spend here actually because I am a very, very busy activist. Nevertheless, I like the idea of the group, so I joined.
You go Virgil!!! Thankyou for joining but yes your being busy is a very good thing!! I'm going to visit all your sites and I'm going to keep contacting people about Trees and Our Environment every day. Thankyou for joining sweety!!!!
for the invite to your group! Looking forward to meeting everyone here and learning loads!
Errrm a little about me...36, English by birth but living in Ireland with my partner and daughter. I don't follow any traditional religion and have no label. I tend to lean towards the Native American ways mainly which seem to overlap with paganism in some areas. I'm basically open.
I love animals and nature, particularly the woods and trees and enjoy living in the countryside as I do at present. Love hearing the birds sing!
best of luck with your group Mari, may all your acorns grown into big oak trees!
Thankyou Rain and thankyou for coming!! If anyone knows of a company who would like to sponsor Tree4life that would be good because they need a Sponsor desperatly. They aren't getting enough support I think. Donations and Fundraising would also be great if anyone has any ideas.
Due to HIGH Volume in clicking the site Tree4Life HAS stoped working!
Wow we all broke it! They need another sponsor for that page. They
don't have enough people supporting them. I'm going to try and work on
that today. Write some emails to some companies and see if they will
help sponser Tree4life.
Page Can Not Be Displayed is what it is
saying now and the Tree Icon is going on and off which means a lot of
people are looking at the site which... is VERY GOOD!!! Have no fear it
will start working again.
Just dropping in for a quick HELLO! March 09, 2005 7:38 AM
Hello everyone!
Thanks for the invite & having me, Mari!
A little bit about me...
I conseder myself a very open minded christian. From what i (think) I know about the pagen views; the beiefs seem to center around respect of the earth & all it's creatures. Maybe thats all I chose to remember about the topic. ( am I far off?)
Not that any of that matters. Especaily when it comes to a group of people comming togerther for the earths greater good!
Last thought about me...My typing stinks! I seem to be horrid at proof reading my own posts!
thanks for the invite to join the group, here is a little about myself,i have been studying and praticing for 4 years but have also felt very close to the earth since a child.I wish everyone a wonderful day.
Hi, all! Glad to find a group of like minded people with whom to share and learn. My life has been a circle of christian and pagan beliefs connecting and separating at different points. Currently, I am living with my partner, Vivian, and our two boys. I don't call myself anything right now. But I can say that I am happier than I have ever been, and I agree with the previous post that says the path finds you eventually. Mine sure has! Despite running from it, hiding from it, denying it - yet it circles back again. So here I am now, trying to follow the only path I know, making changes as rapidly as my old brain will allow! LOL Anyway, thanks for the welcome. I feel more connected to Life and more true to myself than I have in a long time, maybe ever. I am looking forward to knowing others who have made big changes, too. I also am planning to write a book about it all! Bright Blessings, Virginia

Help The Nature Conservancy!!! March 10, 2005 7:37 AM
Help The Nature Conservancy!!!
I
want to let you know about a great way I regularly support the causes I
care about... and it doesn't cost me any extra time or money!
All I do is start my online shopping at GreaterGood.com
(http://www.greatergood.com)
and buy the gifts and things I need every day at brand name retailers
-- including Barnes & Noble.com, Dell, L.L. Bean, Lands' End,
OfficeMax.com and more than 100 others.
At no extra cost to me, 100% of all collected commissions generated by
my shopping automatically goes to the good cause of my choice! I can
choose from K-12 schools, college scholarship funds or local and
national charities, including Special Olympics, The Nature Conservancy,
The Humane Society, March of Dimes and others.
So when I shop online, I remember to shop where it matters:
P.S. Help others make a difference too! Just forward this email to
friends and family who are busy but care about making the world a
better place. Just think... if everyone who shops online remembered to
shop through GreaterGood.com, what a huge difference we'd make for the
organizations that make our world a better place!

Hiya Mari, Thanks for inviting me. I'm what I understand is often called a solitary. I'm almost all air with a bit of water. Maybe that will make sense to someone besides me but if it doesn't that is ok. I'm glad you liked the idea of holly berries. Another good tree idea is crab apples. The flourish better than apples in most locales. The apples we get in the store are mostly red delicious, gala and a couple of other breeds highly bred for fruit productivity. They aren't very much like real, old fashioned apples. The seeds from them are not very likely to run true, if they flourish it would be most likely older genetics coming out. Crab apples not only provide good bird/animal food in their season, but they are much truer and have more beautiful (in my opinion) flowers and they are highly likely to thrive if planted in ground suited to them. So when you are out foraging (I'm big into foraging) and you spot a crab apple tree coming into ripeness, bring back your bag and get a bunch, make yourself some crab apple jelly if you are so disposed and take the seeds or the whole fruit on your missions to plant healing beauty.

Magickal M. I saw your post In the Goddess Experience and this is one group I would love to be involved with.
I Went thru Tree givers this AM and had a tree planted for someones Birthday, I do this for Birthdays, and Death's In my circle of Family and Friends.
Also today I am planting 2 trees in place of one that I had to cut down.. It was Dying... I hugged it blessed it and sent it on it way to its next life which I cryed I hate to Cut Down Trees But If I have too I replace it with 2 more... People call me to plant things in their yards because I have the green thumb so they say.. but you and I both know things are happier when they are blessed And I bless everything and ask the mother to nurture it and to take care of It..
This is one of the best groupd i have seen! It makes me proud to be a pagan to know all you kind wonderful people are out there doing all of this. i only hope i can help my little bit as well.
Ok about me. i'm a 14 year old girl from northeast england, and i've been pagan/ wiccan for many years. Because of my age i can't give much money, or get out to help as much as i would like, but i do as much as i can. i will take inspiration from all you people spreading awarenes (and hugging trees lol). i've already lit a candle for the trees, and clicked to lpant a tree! If we all join together we can save Mother Earth.
Hi, new member here, other than clicks on websites there's not as great deal I can do at the moment but when I join my fiance in the US and we get our land, watch out world, I will be planting and planning and doing our utmost to go back to the natural ways of living instead of living on this wonderful earth as a parasite and to give back more than we recieve for future generations.

new here too, am pagan born with 5 daughters and 12 grands just
HOME AGAIN
Wales just doesn't like me,,,,last time I lost my back pack and half my clothes, among other things.....this time I was mugged and lost my hand bag, got it back minus my mobile phone, C.D. walkman three harry potter stories on C.D. card wallet and passport !!!! and my coke !!! The holiday was great, we had several days in the Isle of Man, beautiful, wasn't enough time, so are going back, then back to over night at liverpool ( too big a journey not to break at liverpool) on to wales, and a day trip to Dublin, also not long enough so going again. Got my welsh hat, the mugger didn't want that either thank goodness. and some story legends of the Isle of Man. The weather was awful ofcourse the rain always knows when it is a bank holiday
Big news of course is the death of the Pope, he will be hard to replace.
Thank you, Mari, for inviting me to your group. I've been a Pagan all my life, and now I'm trying to figure out which path I'm supposed to be on. I'ma checkin it all out.
Anyway, my husband and I just purchased a house. The previous tenants were very trashy. They left the house and the yard knee-deep in trash and old cars, old refrigerators, etc. We've got it about half way cleaned up. Unfortunately, the trash pickup wants extra cash for the extra garbage. Because of the condition of the house and the yard, we got the house fairly cheap. Don't get me wrong, it's still livable. The neighbors all stop and gawk, but so far, no one has offered to help. In the far back of the property, there's alot of trees, fairly young trees and some that's been around for a while. My dear husband wants to clear out all of the very small ones and throw them away. How do I stop him? I don't even know what kind of trees they are.
I was thinking about starting a veggie garden, but, I don't know if I want to take a chance with the soil here, or get some earth boxes.
As far as the animal kingdom goes, I am studying to be a Veterinary Assistant. I'm halfway through my studies and have a 93 GPA. I am so proud of that. I also have 3 beautiful cats named PK, Sassy, and Lucky. PK is 8 yrs. old, Sassy is 4 yrs.old, and Lucky is 3 yrs. old. I love them so much. I think I'd die without them.
I just wanted to add, that I did a lot of clicking before I posted earlier. I'll try to click every day. This is a great group. Great subjects here too.
[send green star]
hi all thanks for inviting me to his group, it sounds like a fantastic idea, its somethingh I try to do everyday.
Well I'm a solitary eclectic witch and my magickal name is Moonlight Phoenix. I have been pagan for nearly 6 years now. I'm a vegetarian and am very much a supporter of animal rights.
A good group. I am gentlerain, an Ovid. I have been a healer in my past lives, and seem to be following the same road in this. I grow and use herbs and roots, and am relearning the Path with the aide of my kindred spirit, the one that knew and loved me in another time and place. I look forward to learning and sharing.
followed the link in my network messaging, that led to this wonderful group! I am Novella, living in green, green Oregon...but does that stop me from planting more? No! I just put 2 ginko trees and a purple smokebush into big pots to give them a good start before planting them in the ground. The two acres of lawn that we live on is slowly but surely being turned into a mini orchard and veggie and flower gardens. The ceder, pine and fir forest in the back of the house is a magickal place, full of deer, elk, racoons, bobcats, and faeries. Glad to be here.
Please!! Try to click as often as you can so help raise donations to save Our Beautiful Mother Earth. Inviting your friends would also be very helpful and would save me a lot of time
Mari invited me to this group several times...and after looking it over and seeing what a dedicated group this is, I decided to join. I'm not a Pagan nor a witch...but I'm proud to be a part of any group that loves our Earth as much as this group does! I'm hoping to learn more about the beliefs Pagans have...I love new things! Thanx for the invite Mari!!!!
im not good with intros but here i go. i am a solitary practitioner of almost 10 years now (in this life), it has been a lonely road, but the Lord and the Lady have saw fit to aid me through it. i am currently an undergraduate at Bluffton University majoring in Information Tech and minoring in Graphic Design and Art.
am in the process of replacing bird habitat by growing and planting native species to replace the weed species lantana, which happens to support 36 species of local native bird.
this is an unfunded operation on private land which is due to become public land and wildlife corridor.
Merry Meet to all My Pagan brothers and sisters I hope to get in to see you more I am in school and I don't get on much unless I spend the night with mom .......MEC..... well need to run to school
Greetings.
Always nice to connect with members of the greater Pagan community. We are everywhere.
When I was little I was a Heathen, now I'm an old Pagan.
I am a legally ordained Pagan Minister in the process of starting a Church (Church of the Old Grove) who's long range goal is to open a school for pagan children, train Pagan Ministers and promote the spiritual aspects of living and working on this earth. It is important to help others to find their true spirit-nature and live it.
I have been a teacher and readers of the Tarot for over 35years and see the cards as a great tool in helping us deal with the natural/spiritual world around us and finding our truespirital- natures.
Blessings

Hello to all you good people:-) July 30, 2005 8:19 AM
Hi, my name is Ed. I have been a Pagan follower since the 70's, not heavy-duty but I am happy being in tune with the nature that surrounds me. I live in a simple log house in the woods in Western Pennsylvania and like the peace and quiet.Feeling down, hug a tree and feel the internal calm. Ed

I've been at Care2 for a couple of years clicking away, but only recently began participating in groups. I visit here regularly, but have never introduced myself.
I'm currently a solo practitioner, though I have two ritual 'sisters' remaining from my coven. I began with Wicca in the mid-80's, but now I feel like "Earth worshipper" describes me best. Ecological Activism is my emphasis for the duration, I guess.
It was inspiring to read your post about the amount of land saved through Ecology Fund. I hooked my membership up with PSTW's now. It helps not to feel alone in these efforts. Also, we have succeeded in saving the Arrenjarkas old-growth forest in Sweden! That project was completed this week. (Chris O. did quite a lot for that cause, matching every tree sponsored for 3 weeks in June.)
Followed a link on Joey J's profile and found you What a treat it is to find this group!!
I'm an old Witch from waaaaay back Don't let the "Rev." fool you. I'm ordained Pagan Clergy and bloody well proud of it
I'm 2nd generation Scots & Irish and follow a Faery & Dragon Trad. Got blessed with grandparents that schooled me in both till they went to the Summerlands. I am a rabid activist for nuclear disarmament, animal rights, fostering & rehabbing, environmental protection, Human Rights Campaign advocate,
religious tolerance/equality and lastly political mad womyn.
for letting me be a part of this group. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.
Many thanks for inviting me into this awesome place.
For the last ten years or so I have been following my own path, indeed at first I didn’t even realise that I was doing so, I just did what came naturally. It was about two years back that I first met a couple of ‘like minded’ people who opened my eyes to the wider Pagan community and what it had to offer. I still go my own way, it just feels right for me but I love meeting and learning from others. I look forward to getting to know you all and ‘picking your brains’. Hope you don’t mind.
I spent yesterday picking apples and sloes which will be used to make jelly jam and drinks and I left some nuts and grain as a ‘thank you’ offering to our feathered and furry friends for sharing their harvest. In spring I will return to the same place and plant some of the apple seeds and sloe stones that I am saving. That’s how it works for me. We need to give as well as take.
Dave sent me an invite. I don't look for new groups to join and rarely respond to invites because I just don't have that much time! But this is a group that looks to be close to my heart!
And I seem to already know so many people here!
Blessings to all!
Oh, for those who don't know me, I'm a Druid, live in the UK and love chocolate!

Dave C. invited me, thanks, Dave! I've been a witch for over 20 years, and pretty well practice my own path, generally as a Solitary.

Was waiting sooooooo long for someone to invite me, so I decided what the …… and invited meself, lol
Hello, I am happy to be here. Im a not so simple pagan living in the wilderness of VA in the lovely shenandoah valley. I have been pagan since I was born. I have always had the hots for jesus so I didnt fit in too well in church. My family is pretty pagan, we live in the woods when not working or when given any free time. Our life is magic. We do not discredit anyone following other spiritual paths, whatever floats your boat. We consider ourselves a hippy family reincarnated. I personally am an artist and researcher. I love my furry friends and will have an entire farm of them in a few years. My inlaws are vets, vet tech, groomers, ect all in the animal business. I just want my homestead farm and to love my animals, they can medicate and wash them..lol. I have been called a Mudra, daughter of Venus, or similar. My path and ways are my own and "There isnt anything I cant do" is my motto.
Thank u so much 4 the invite, I take in information, like other's take in the air they breathe, I love things that peek my interest, I may have joined another one, of urs, but I don't remember off hand.......4get things easily I think it's the medication I am on........but that's neither here nor there the point is I am glad u invited me, so again thank u.........
Thank you for the invite Mari. I don't join too many groups as I don't have a lot of time, and I refuse to join one, just so I can say I'm a member. If I'm going to be a member, I'm going to participate.
About me... pushing toward the big 6-0, happily married to a non pagan, three children from previous marriages, six grandkids, and four fur babies of the feline gender. I live in Alberta, Canada.
I am a witch and a healer. I did belong to a close knit group but then I moved away, and I've been a solitary ever since.
Mother Earth means the world to me and I am always clicking, to save something, or signing, to help a worthy cause.
Elaine!! Welcome & thankyou for joining. I love Mother Earth too very much. Don't be shy to post up ideas, healings & even Spells for her. Any help is greatly needed.
There are many new members & I wish to Welcome you in this fight to protect our beautiful Gaia & make her greener.
Hi I'm Sarah currently living in beautiful North Wales very much enjoying the beauty surrounding me, I wouldn't know what to say I am really, I have a lot of empathy with paganism and also I am often accused of being a witch!? but I'm just me! I enjoy nature, travelling, meeting new people, gathering people together, art & crafts reading and singing.
I try my best to treat everyone and everything how I would like to be treated myself! and can often be heard extolling the virtues of being environmentally friendly. I recently performed my first handfasting at the request of a couple I know, it was a beautiful day.......
Looking forward to being a member, thanks for the invite!

I'm not sure how I found you. I saw the link somewhere. I'm guessing, since JSun is here, that it may have been that I found the link through something he posted, or I saw the link on his page.
I'm going on and on.
I'm glad I found you, however it happened. for accepting me.
I would have been here sooner, but I got caught up clicking all the links I found before getting to this thread. I clicked a few things, signed a couple of petitions, and I aquired a wildglobe email acct. in the process.
My path is eclectic. I feel very much connected to bits and pieces of many spiritual....... leanings, if you will. I'm extremely concerned about the many negative things happening to our planet.
I will post as often as possible.I have to juggle my time, because I work full time, am very involved in what's happening politically in the world, the alarming rate in which so many animal species are either already extinct or well on their way, all forms of abuse, as well as environmental issues. I also make time to get to a 'fun' group that I host, as well as a couple of others. I feel it's healthy to spend some time to lighten things up on occasion, in groups where it's appropriate.
I like the idea of this group very much. I'm going to invite my friends. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
Merry meet and welcome. I have not been in here for so long! I have been busy moving to a new home and sick kids. I hope you all are having a great new years!
