The World Is a Collective Conversation I think that if I can somehow draw the world's attention to all the people who are actually contributing in their way, perhaps we can create a new conversation. The world is a collective conversation at any time, and the media controls that. In the old times, in the village square, the guy who had the megaphone was the guy in charge. At this moment, the guys who have the microphone are telling a very sad story....So now I've reached a certain kind of credibility where the mainstream is willing to invite me to speak, whether it's CNN or Harvard Medical School or Bill Clinton for Save the Children. So I want to take advantage of this mainstream exposure....If we can suddenly have that microphone in the village square for people...who are exploring the field of consciousness, there are a lot of people in the square who want to listen. Meditation is a technology that benefits body, mind, and soul. Through inner exploration, meditation awakens creativity, healing, and transformation. Meditation is not about forcing our mind to be quiet; rather it's a process to rediscover the quietness that is ever present. Behind the screen of our internal dialogue is the silence of pure awareness-a silence that is not disturbed by thoughts of the past or concerns of the future.
Ayurveda is one of the oldest systems of natural health care, originating in the ancient traditions of India. The principles of Ayurveda state that nothing exists in isolation, so that everything you interact with, your diet, family, work or relationships, has an effect on your health and well being. One guiding principle of Ayurveda is that mind and body are connected and that the mind has a profound influence over our health and well-being. While conventional Western medicine is still grounded in the paradigm of mind-body separation, Ayurveda holds that health is more than the absence of disease; it is a dynamic state of balance and integration of body, mind, and spirit.
Yoga for Every-Body The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga integrates 5,000-year-old Vedic wisdom and the yogic interpretations of Drs. Chopra and Simon. Chopra Center Yoga is a consciousness-based Hatha Yoga program infused with Dr. Deepak Chopras book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. Hatha Yoga is the study of the asanas or postures based on Patanjalis Eight Limbs of Yoga System. Our program offers a balanced approach that can be taken more deeply or gently, depending on the needs of the individual. We guide students to experience body centered restful awareness, which in turn helps each student find the perfect way to do the postures.
