Different types of Reiki July 28, 2004 2:15 PM

Can anyone explain what the differences are with all the different types of Reiki, if any? There are at least 3 types that I am aware of: Usui, Seichim and Tera Mai. What Reiki do you do/have you experienced? As a Reiki practitioner is there much difference? If you have experienced more than one type of reiki does it feel any different or have you had differing results etc? Finally is there any particular Reiki you would recommend above an other? I'm interested in hearing your comments as I feel that now is the time for me to learn Reiki healing. I have been looking for the right teacher/master for a few years now and believe that I have found the right one. Looking forward to reading your replies.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Greetings Rain, I am a practioner of Gendai Reiki, which has 3 levels, the 4th is Master. Hiroshi Doi was first introduced to the Gakkai( the school started by Usui) in 1993. He was attending a crystal healing workshop with an 86 year old woman who was a memer of the Gakkai. In October of that year, Hiroshi received his first Gandai attunement, and he learned the differences between traditional Reiki and Western Reiki. Hiroshi established Gendai Reik-ho (Modern Reiki healing method) based on 2 concepts: 1) healing body and sould; 2) spiritual imrprovement. In 1995 Hiroshi established the "Gendai Reiki Healing Kyokai" (Modern Reiki Healing Association). Hiroshi wanted to intergrate the best of both worlds - Western and Japanese Reiki traditions, and to this end he has done that. Gendai Reiki was introduced in Canada by Hiroshi in August, 1999, and in the U.S. in 2000. The first masters attuned in the U.S. were in March of 2001, and my 2 Masters which I am learning from, have been attuned from them. I have only been involved with energy work for almost a year.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

is also a type of hands on healing very like Reiki. the bottom line they are all universal life force energy. and I would say that which ever form you yourself gravitate towards is probably best for you. I learned Usui traditional, but have added alittle western myself to my teachings. I have been a Reiki teacher for 8 years. I however don't like to be a practioner, except on children and pregnant women. Just know that we all can call on the energy. the attunements simply ground you and accelarate the energy through you. just ask you you shall recieve.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I agree about universal energy. I work with all kinds of people who use different techniques, traditions/cultures, but is all universal energy, and heals, and that is what healing is all about. This is one I feel comfortable with, and is more accepted in my conservative area where I live. Blessings, Patti  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Universal healing energy August 05, 2004 2:02 PM

Hi guys! Thanks for your replies. I do agree that there are so many different types of Universal Healing Energy. I have come across various types which I feel "merge" (if that is the right word...desperately searching for the correct one...) with Reiki; such as spiritual healing, magnified healing etc... love Rain xx  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Hello goodevening, I had 2 healings done on me with reiki and accupresser not to long ago.The first healing was reiki only and it was something when it was finished. My body felt so strange and my head felt like was on air strange feeling. The healer said it was normal because it suppose to cleanse and get rid of negative energy.I'm not sure if the 2 healing was done to fast. I've read your suppose to do in a regular whithin a short peroid to keep the energy clean and chakras open. The other healer I went to was differant and she was a sharman/reiki master namster. We had a nice time and she even found a spirit guide for me at the same time of my healing.I think and feel better with Dawn the 2 healer guessing to stay with this healer. How long does the reiki last? I do wear crystal around my neck was also cleansed with reiki in it.Well let me know on any information just curious. If the healer see alot of colors around is that some kind of indication of some gift to be developed in me was told yes.Another sharman told am a healer not sure what kind yet.. Well love and light.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

There are many types . and many manipulations of energy for healing, as a Reiki Master and Hawaiian Kaomi Master i have asended to the SPIRIT in that i now allow Soirit to manipulate my movement in healing Mind , Body, And Spirit.....All forms of Reiki are valuable to the trainee as it gives them the basics for energy manipulations, However eventually once understandng , and creating your own style, your own technique... You will find alowing Spirit to flow through you unobstructed by self will produce perfect healing to take place......  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
