MANGLED XMAS CAROLS TO RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY: you have been warned! November 12, 2007 2:00 AM

HOW OUR GOVT TAKES CARE OF THE RETURNING VETS December 2006

Ohhhhh,

You better not shout,

You better not cry,

You better watch out,

I'm tellin' you why;

Paraplegic Dad is comin'

To town.

He's

applied for benefits,

sent in applications twice;

They seem to ignore him

whether he acts naughty or acts nice;

Paraplegic Vet is comin'

To town.

He has some trouble sleepin';

He's in pain when he's awake;

He has his good days and bad days,

So humor him for goodness' sake!

Ohhhhh,

You better not fight,

Don't let him see you cry,

You better be prepared

I'm tellin' you why;

Paraplegic Mom

is comin' next

to town.

[This Xmas carol was derived from a news story: that BOTH parents of young children, in the National Guard, were being deployed to combat in Iraq. Should have been totally illegal.]

{These have by the way been sung at demos in downtown Seattle; and in downtown Bellevue! [a rich people's town], protesting Cheney's 2 visits there last year.} {Cheney didn't get to hear them, tho.}

Away in a manger, no room for a bed

A child of Fallujah, lays down her weary head;

She's shivering, she's crying

Hasn't eaten all day;

Nobody to help her

She's in Amerikkka's way.

------

Away in a manger --

His parents killed in their beds;

A child of Fallujah

Swears vengeance on their heads;

Al-Quaeda's recruiting

He's easy to sway;

Childhood stolen forever

He's in George Bush's way.

-------

Away in a manger

Having lost their only bed

A family of Fallujah

Huddles in mortal dread;

Their livelihood's gone

All belongings swept away;

Kids lying sick and wounded,

They're in Empire's way.

  next one:

Si-i-lent night

Ho-o-ly night

The Desert is calm

The Moon is bright

When American Bombers come in for an attack;

A Sentence of Death for a Family in Iraq;

Slee-eep in Heavenly Pe-e-ace

Slee-eep in Heavenly Peace [cuz you're dead].

----------

Si-i-lent Night

Ho-oly Night

Angels would weep

At the sight

Flames light the sky from the Heavens afar;

U.S. pilots give high-fives and say Hallelujah!;

Slee-eep in Heavenly Pe-e-ace;

Slee-eep in Heavenly Peace [if you can].

What Child is this

Who laid to rest

On Mother Earth's breast

Is sleeping?

While Mothers weep tears

And Fathers hide fears;

Over all, drone spy planes

Watch are keeping.

An arm is here, a leg is there,

The blood-drenched body

Dismembered and bare.

Hail to the work  of American bombs,

This Babe is the Son of Humanity.

[This Corpse is the Child of us All.]

HERE'S WHERE IT GETS REALLY SICK AND OFFENSIVE [BUT THE REALITY IS MORE OFFENSIVE] December 2006

I'm dreamin' of a White Phosphorus Christmas

Just like the ones in Fal-lu-jah;

Where the burnt skin glistens

And children listen

To hear their Mothers crying Woe -- Ohhhh,

I'm dreamin' of a

White Phosphorus, and prosperous, Christmas

With ev'ry Christmas card I send [this is Cheney speaking],

May your days be merry, my friend

And may Wars for Mideast Oil

Never end!

December 2006

O come, all ye sheeple,

Demicans and Republocrats,

O come ye, obediently,

To the White House Lawn.

Light ye the Christmas Tree,

Sing the Yuletide Carols:

Another thousand troops dead;

Another year in I-raq;

Another hike in gas prices,

Bu-ush is Lord!

---------------------------

Sing, choirs of Press Agents,

Sing and exalt sadism,

Sing for your salaries,

At home or in Iraq.

Praise Him, O praise Him,

Let no doubts assail you.

Another ten thousand troops dead;

No end to staying in I-raq;

Gas prices thru the ceil-ing,

Bu-ush is Lord!

Hark, the tortured prisoners si-ing

Water boarding's just the thing!

Peace on Earth, and Mercy Mild,

Christians and Muslims reconciled.

Joyful, all ye mid-east nations ri-ise,

Praise Bush your Leader to the ski-ies,

With the Kept Press, all proclaim

Pax Americana, in Beth-le-hem;

Hark, in Abu Ghraib captives sing

Praises to the mighty, the oil-rich King!

NOT!

Are you revolted enough yet? December 14, 2007 10:08 AM

Well, don't blame the messenger: this reflects REALITY, THIS holiday season as well as any other.

I don't forget that.

Reminds me of a German film I saw, about WWII, when the family of a German officer were celebrating a typical German "gemutlich" Christmas with a tree and all {the origin of our celebration, brought over to England by Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's consort}. NOT SUCH A GREAT CHRISTMAS FOR THOSE IN THE CONCENTRATION CAMPS! And, yes, I am saying CHRISTmas instead of my usual, "Xmas", on purpose.

Who Would Jesus Bomb?

[A site called "Political Christmas" had some songs on it: one of the titles was "Arrest Those Swarthy Gentlemen". But, I could not get the lyrics of that song to come up! So, I had to make up my OWN song to go with that first line!]

"Arrest those swarthy gentlemen, let nothing you dismay;

They might be terrorist bombers, tho it's really hard to say;

On th'other hand they might not be, but there's no other way;

Ohh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,

Oh be safe, my little girl, my little boy.

--------

They say we're less safe than before, tho war is dragging on;

We tortured one of them to death, but the bastard has a son;

A son who swears vengeance on us, for all that we have done;

Ohh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,

Oh sleep well, my future soldier girl and boy."
