IMPORTANT~~ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ ^i^ May 25, 2005 7:21 PM After thinking this situation over for a couple of days I have decided to bring an incident concerning a member that has occured and restating the guidelines I have set for this group so there can be NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS. Many things occur "behind the scenes" in a group that the owner and hosts must deal with that the general membership is never aware of. It was brought to my attention a couple of days ago that a member here had been "stalking" a woman in another group. In FAIRNESS I went to the post in that group and spoke with them and then to the woman who is virtually in hiding. She sent me 4 LONG letters in great detail that matched what the others had told me. BUT I still could not act on that until I spoke with the member who came on line during this time. He reacted true to form the way they described when push or challenged. I had NEVER seen this side of this individual before. They had always been sweet and very understanding in ANGELS. Initially I felt that this was a problem for this other group to work out amoung themselves. THEN all hell broke loose and this member became someone I did not know. I had spoken to them privately MANY times over the past few months concerning this situation in their life. I also heard from several women that this person made them VERY uncomfortable. I still need something concrete. THEN the member sent me a link to an organazation that vilifies Jehovah Witness's. THAT was all I needed. I flagged the profile, wrote Care2, blocked and deleted them from ANGELS. At THAT point it made no difference what was going on in that group, it was ALL about being intolerant and hateful towards a religion and/or spirituality. THAT goes against the guidelines of this group. So I want to state again what the guidelines are here. We are respectful, tolerant, compassionate, loving, supportive, kind, accepting and loving of someone REGARDLESS of the religion, spirituality, or beliefs. ANYONE who breaks these guidelines that is a member of ANGELS is held accountable to these guidelines REGARDLESS of where they are voiced. A member will be removed promptly even if they voice slander, etc. in another group. NO exceptions. MYSELF included. If somone that is NOT a member here comes in being insulting and intolerant will be immediately removed and blocked. It happens more that you realize. I usually delete their post within 5-15min. If you see such a post notify me or the hosts so that we may take action ASAP. We are a SAFE group that is loving and welcoming and tolerant. There is enough hate in this world than to allow it in this group or with a member. I did over 10hrs of research on this before acting on it. Once the link was sent to me this person simply exploded with hatred aimed at JW's. I made me literally sick to my stomach. I could not allow someone like that back in. I am writing this to reaffirm my policy for ANGELS. Please contact me or post if you have questions or opinions regarding this matter. It was NOT taken lightly by any stretch of the imagination. It was upsetting and sad as I had known this member for several months. That is the reason for the extensive research on my part. Ultimately the link they sent was technically the infraction I needed to act on. I pray you all understand. You may hear from this person who is very angry with me. The member was YdvA. If you get contacted or find extensive mail from him ~~~~PLEASE NOTIFY ME AT ONCE. Or if you see a post in ANGELS from him I need to be ALERTED ASAP. I hope the guidelines are very clear and that you feel they are fair. I ALWAYS welcome your opinions. On a positive note we DID GAIN some members from that group. Welcome you to our family here!! Ann S.	A COUPLE OF THINGS~~ and THANKS May 26, 2005 5:45 PM First I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for understanding the actions I had to take and for all your support. It means more than words can express! What wonderful, gentle and gracious people you all are. I thank you for the compliments as well. YvdA is gone. There is no longer a profile for him. It makes me feel as though I truly made the right decision with taking the actions I did. But we must watch out for him returning under a differt profile. I am in contact with ownders of groups to notify them as well. It is a system we use to alert each other regarding disruptive situations/people. One thing I need to add to the guideline here. I also have a STRICT policy regarding promoting people or advertising for other things in ANGELS. Again, contact me if you think there is something I should know and we can discuss it. I will give you an example of what I am talking about. Someone wanted to announce activitites regarding seals. I back that site and perform my daily clicks. BUT it does NOT have a place in ANGELS. It has many sites already so I refused. One other recent event was from someone joining and immediately promoting their publications regarding trading plants, herb growing, (Books they had written) and promoting 2 Angel blog sites. I deleted the post and sent a letter to the person explaining the policy here and she went ballistic. She said there was NO WAY that she was advertising. So I asked her to enlighten me as to how growing herbs, and trading plants had ANYTHING to do with ANGELS. She got angry with me and pulled right out of ANGELS. I wrote her again and she refused to repost deleting anything that did not include Angels. She REALLY became angry with me and told me off. We will NOT be a promotion forum for personal gain. I didn't loose sleep over that one at all. Actually many of ou that saw it complained to me about her. I take great care to keep this group running as smoothly as possible. I can only hope I make the right judgements. Many times the hosts and I will discuss this together for input for decision making and also for support. So if there is any thing at all you wish to discuss or would like changed or added PLEASE come to me to talk about it. I simply want this site to be the best it can and to protect ALL that come here for whatever reason. I realize I might be overproective but that is just the way I am. I just had to come and see how all of the Angels were doing. I do miss all of you!! I want to tell you thank you for your love, compassion, and Motherly ways (hehe)! You give so much comfort to all of us and I trust your decisions completely! It is sad there is so much hate in this world! The majority of religions teach love, tolerance, and non-violence! I for one accept all of my brothers and sisters for who they are in their lovely hearts and believe that is all that matters! I also wanted to give you some good news! I finally have an appointment with the doctor that can do the nerve blocks! Even if it doesn't make my RSD go into remission it could help with the pain level. But I'm going to go in there with the belief it will be put back into remission and just not get disappointed if that doesn't happen. I love you all and think of you all the time! When I think of all the good that could be done if everyone would just realize that every person on this planet is the same. I'm not talking about our culture, race, or religion. We are all human beings with a common goal -- To Be Happy, Loved, and To Love! So what if we decide to do things a little differently (non-violently), that is what makes being a human so beautiful, we have our own minds and hearts!
