I'm Bart, and I'm shocked that haven't been any new threads lately. Grunge maybe dead, but not completely, Pearl Jam is still around, and those bands that broke up like Alice In Chains and Nirvana are still listened to.

Thanks for letting me join this group!

HEY a real person!!! How exciting! Everyday I look to see if anyone posted anything here, but never! So looks like its just u and me bart! nice to meet ya! I too, obviously, like grunge. In high school I was all about the flannel, now 10 years later, I still love the music! Not so much any of the newer Pearl Jam, or whatnot. But still love the old stuff! Hope to see ya around these parts more often.  [ send green star]

I personally don't like the "new" Pearl Jam, with Matt Cameron on drums. The only albums I still listen to are "Ten" and "Vs."

The AIC albums I still listen to, in fact I downloaded them into my Media Player, are "Dirt", MTV Unplugged" and "Jar of Flies" And Nirvana- Hands down "Nevermind", In Utero and their Unplugged album. Also in my computer.

Kurt and Layne were among the most gifted singer/song-writers, and they had to it up with drugs and suicide!

Soundgarden, I could personally care less about them.

I'm listening to Alice's "Dirt". You can feel Layne's pain and anguish in every note he sings. Awesome album!!  [ send green star]

I personally think Mad River is Laynes best album, he was probably more free to do what he wanted on that album, not saying that the Alice in Chains albums werent his thing, but I think the record company had something to say about how they should do their thing. Then of course there are the other band members and they most likely had something to say about how the albums should come out.  [ send green star]
