Prisons should not be human warhouses for people with addictions.

My name is Greg, and I am a new member. I am here due to peoples rights. I was arrested for having a disease of Alcohol and drug addiction. I was given Hard drugs and hard alcohol at the age of 7 by my own mother, on a daily basis. When I was in the 7th grade, my mom and her pimp threw me out into the streets. I left to fend for myself, and took shelter under the boardwalk. I began to steal t keep the monkey on my back from wreaking havoc, if not fed in a timely manner. I began t steal, just to not become violently ill. I was caught several times, and given LIFE in prison, under the Three Strikes Law. Alcoholism and Drug addiction is a DISEASE, And No one wants a disease. That is what hospitals are for, not prisons. I am treated badly everyday, and to think murderers get less time, and I have NEVER physical hurt anyone a day in my life. I am putting in for a Commute of Sentence For good cause shown to our Governor, Chris Christie. Will you please join us in the signing of a petition to help show NJ Drug and Alcohol Reform is better than Prison? We are seeking a commute of Sentence/Conditional Release for Gregory Bartholomew after serving 17+ years. We are asking that after you sign the petition, that you please pass along this message to all you know, and get at least 10 people each to sign, as we are in need of 25,000 signatures.URL:
