Pontius Pilot asked Jesus "What is Truth?" The truth is we have stood by and watched this happen. We did not protect the young,we exchanged prayer for guns in schools. Still we said nothing,we did nothing.. We said what is happening to America. The truth is it is time to speak up  stand up and be counted.It is time to take our country back.    Jeanie D.

You are so right. We can't stand aside and be silent. THAT has never been my problem. I have spoke up many times,sometimes to the worry of my family. I just can't help myself. I HAVE learned to be more tactful, by offering my help or a kind word to someone, to let them know people notice. I will say something like "Oh,  it must be nap time, it's so hard when we have so much to do" to someone who is showing frustration to a crying child. That way you are showing understanding about their perdicament,but also letting them know that yelling at a tired or hungry child isn't the answer. I have also called the cops on a few abusers that I was just to afraid that my interference might bring more harm to me and others. You have to judge each sitituation and then decide which action to take.

Unfair Treatment of Children of Sex Abuse and the Court System

Petition Author:  Julianne Quinn

This petition is to bring to your attention the procedures and policies that Indian River County Florida apply to Children of Sex Abuse in the court system. My niece was molested in October 2007 by her Grandfather, who was arrested and released on bail. My brave niece who DID NOTHING WRONG and who came forward now has to face the man who committed these awful crimes on her. If he was being prosecuted in Orange County Florida my niece could give her evidence from a room behind the courtroom with a live video feed. But in Indian River Florida she has to face her molester, I cannot express to you how terrifying this is to a child. As her Aunt I want to drop all charges and protect her from having to go through this, as in my eyes she is being abused all over again, but through the eyes of a citizen I know I have to protect other children from this DEVIANT. I would like to know why this policy would be so hard to implement into the court system. I am aware that the defendant has a right to meet his accuser but what about the rights of the children, haven't they been through enough!!

Thank you for your attention to my petition and I do so hope and pray it doesn't fall on deaf ears and that you will give it the priority it so deserves.

Dear Mr. Jesus
She was such a pretty child, as pretty as could be.
The blondest hair and bluest eyes, this little girl of three.
She lived next door and I would often see her play outside.
Putting all her dollies in a wagon for a ride.
I often thought how beautiful she would be when she’s grown.
She was just the cutest thing as she played there alone.
I only knew her parents from a passing wave or “hi.”
They did not want to socialize each time that I would try.

I sometimes heard them arguing when I was in my yard.
I know the problems people have can sometimes make life hard.
I thought they were just loners because they kept to them self.
They might think I am nosy if I try to offer help.
They never bother anyone, the other neighbors say.
And the little girl can only go out back to play.
You only see them come and go, they never stay outside.
You wonder when they act like that, have they something to hide?

One day I heard them arguing, much louder than before.
As I looked out, the little girl was standing by her door.
Her little face was bruised and tears were running down her cheek.
I wanted to go over there, but I was scared and meek.
Finally when the screaming stopped, and everything was calm
I saw the little girl was being held close to her mom.
Her mother rocked her back and forth, and she was crying too.
Just standing in the back yard, there was nothing I could do.

This mother and this little girl were suffering abuse.
She had better call someone and get this thing resolved. But, it is not my business and I cannot get involved.
As I spoke with neighbors, about what went on next door
They all agreed, that it was sad, it’s something we abhor.
It’s something we must overlook, we cannot interfere.
But, now we sing a different tune, as we are gathered here.

Knowing now we could have helped, but didn’t even try.
And now this little three year old, so beautiful to me

Her mom is in intensive care, her dad is now in jail.
