Who is who... Introduce Yourself February 13, 2008 12:58 AM
I like Kids... play with kids and become a kid yourself for kids are our future and they like grown ups which go with them onto their tracks thinking like them... giving them the certitude to be on the right track called life... Aren't we all children - some dare to see it, some close their eyes for not being aware of this... we all are kids and should preserve our hearts.

I have climbed the highest mountain And sailed the ocean wide But nothing could ever fill my heart Like a smile from a child, I have seen the sunsets That would take your breath away, But nothing could ever shine so bright When a child is brought our way, When temptations were so many And i dealt with selfish pride Nothing could ever turn my head Like a cry from a child, This life is filled with obstacles That make us want to hide, But the world will always turn on time Through the eyes of a child, I've seen my days of sadness And worry was so much But nothing could ever cleared my mind Like a child's gentle touch, I have walked through darkened valleys And traveled wayward miles But nothing could stop me in my tracks Like a smile from a child, Our lives are set on a time scale The clock will tick away But there are no minutes for us to count When a child has ask to play, These eyes of mine are growing old The future I cannot see But the world never felt so much at peace When a child sits on my knee. I have lived my life on chances And that’s how it was meant to be But I've always had an angel To watch carefully over me, God sends us guardian angels And we know not what their size To help us with this life down here To walk us through our miles, God sends you this blessing A little angel comes your way To fill your heart with happiness With every passing day, So lift your arms to heaven And hold them open wide, God sends you a life of treasures Through the eyes of a child
Just for you here some aspects of my life that might be interesting you.... I am now 60 years old, live in Basel Switzerland and always was engaged to promote a life that reflects my love for GOD and for my next ones. My Christian faith and the challenge to love others is the highest wisdom I found in life. It is most important and precious to stick to the decision to be a disciple of Christ in good and in bad times. To stay faithful to GOD means to live really. But it is also GODs calling not our decision alone, we just answer his seek for us. I must add here that I made the experience to fail and to regret not to have seriously fought to stay with my initial goals... We all should insist even if it looks like it is impossible to go on... It also means that we never should give up our dreams, they are the base for our lives. I love children particularly for they are those who are still open to seek the life that could be theirs to embrace with enthousiasm their own dreams. They need honest adults to help them find their own destinies. I try to be there for them. I just will add that I was the Preident and CEO of "Children withoput Borders" a charitable foundation that helped 35'000 kids from poor families in Berlin (Germany) to have holidays in my country (Switzerland) as guests of hosting families. Many friendships for life were forged and many grown up kids kept the contact with their "host families". Some even made their apprentice time here as the hosts had cared for a apprentice job here for them qwhen they did not find one in their own place. There is of course innumerable stories like this. In the moment this foundation was closed and other bigger organisations overtook the task. I am married and have two daughters, one (22) studying medicine at university to become a doctor, the other still little (4) is still seeking her personality... My main work is to care for computers and their users. Set up PCs and support the users. Also do I make accounting for little companies. I try to be a good witnes of my faith without oppressing others, I am very tolerant and accept others views of life and leave them on their track always ready to help them out if they discover a deeper need in their lives... But also learning much friom them. I am aware that nobody is strong enough to really love others, we all need GODs support and gifts to be enabled to live up to our standarts. Thus i try never to judge others but just to be friends. If you want a hint: Don't doubt yourself, don't doubt GODs true love (practical and real), Buiild your life onto what you learned to be true for you and don't allow others to make you leave your own basic knowledge... be yourself, be a fine and good person, careing for others... Learn what you learn for improving your service for others. Your harvest then will be great! Then you never will have to regret to have gone the way you chose to go...

Hi everyone, I am a mum to two children now in their twenties. Catherine is 24 and Scott is turning 21 this month.
I have been with all sizes of kids. At church the Sunday school children captured my heart from the tinies to the teens. In the Youth group I was inspired by the godly wisdom in young teens.
I did teacher assisting (Teacher Aid) for a few years and my life was enriched as I know were the children's too.
I tutored two Arab boys part-time in English Language for 3 years and they crept into my heart too I just love the innocence and enquiring minds - to see the start of realisation that there are many different books and the opportunity to learn so much more.
"A child should be introduced to the goodness of God and the sweetness of His Person
before they actually know the difference between right and wrong. That way,
your child has the opportunity, from you, to know Jesus before knowing sin"
I like to think I have done this in some small way both as a mother, teacher assistant and Sunday school teacher. Blessings to you all.
Thank you sweetie for your great love for all including your pooch I'm so happy you are being rewarded for your perseverance. Thank you too for instilling solid foundations of self worth and self-esteem in young minds - something that was sadly lacking when I was growing up and still is in many relationships between kids and their parents. Bless you.

Hello, my name is Daniel Fitzpatrick. I am turning 16 in june 19 and Bella Fitzpatrick is my Grandma. I go to Global enterprize academy, at colombus hish school. Uh, yeah so I guess thats it.
This is a great group Bella and I look forward to being able to stopping in now ( computer & health troubles) a bit more regularly.
I have a son who is 14 1/2 now and currently in a residential treatment center for BiPolar and ADHD. His behaviors had become so extremem he was in so much trouble with the law.
After four month there ( but not very good treatment) and a week on Lithium now, he is doing well the last couple weeks and we are so happy. Hoping he can come home soon and integrate into High School in the Fall.
I recently became acquainted with the County Behavioral Support Coordinator for the schools here and she has opened much doors for my son & me. I have been asked to sit on the Committee for Investigative Resources Committee as the parent representative. Needless-to-say, I am honored and hope I can fulfill the obligation.
Thank you for posting. It is sometimes difficult to find the help you need, Just keep knocking on all the doors you can until your son gets the treatment he needs. Remember Ask and you shall receive, so keep asking. Don't worry, you will do Great onthe Committee for Investigative Resources Committee , just be yourself and speak from the heart. God doesn't give us anything we can't handle, You go girl.
Bella, Thanks so much for the invite. I am so impressed with the members so far and all I have read is this thread.
ABOUT ME:
I am 54 years old and the mother of 5 and grammy or grandma to 8. Two of my children have yet to have offspring so there will be more grandbabies later. My oldest is a girl and I had her when I was just 16 so we grew up together really. She was my right hand when I was raising the others. Her name is Dawn. Then I have Wendy who I had when I was 18 and Rebecka when I was 30. Five years later I had Matthew and five years after that I had Mark. Rebecka and Mark are both RN's and live here in San Diego. I raised my kids in Kansas as there dad is from there. A few years after my divorce 17 years ago I moved back here to San Diego to live with my mom who is handicapped and I am now her full time caregiver as she is bedridden for fifteen months now.
I have had a daycare in Kansas with about 10 kids plus my own 4 at the time. I watched kids that other babysitters refused to watch and I had no problem with them. I love kids. I also taught kids from nursery age up to teenagers in church years ago.
All of my grandchildren live in other states. I don't get to see them often and that really bothers me so I will be so glad when my nurses that live here have kids. Meanwhile I visit the little boy next door and talk with childrean whenever I get the chance be it at the grocery store or a teenage girl I met the other night at a celebration. Children are our future and need to be treated with respect and love.
I have some handicaps as does my oldest grandson and my 30 year old son so sometimes things are very challenging but it sure helps you to love and accept others no matter what their lot in life is.
Thanks again Bella! I know that I will enjoy my time here.
My grandson Joseph, my son Mattew and myself are all bipolar. We have all had our struggles. I was in constant trouble as a teenager and raised my children at times with great struggles as I was undiagnosed until about ten years ago. We were able to diagnose my grandson and my son after I was diagnosed and their behaviour mirrored mine when I am sick. I take medication but still have ups and downs sometimes. Unfortunetaley it is mostly the downs as of late.
My son is a very hard worker in the construction business and my grandson wants to be a forensic investigator. With the proper medication and therpay most people can do anything that put they put their minds too. I hope and pray that all works our with your son. Lithium can be a wonder drug.
Thanks for the invite Bella! I see some of my other friends here too! Two children here, 13 and almost 10, boy and girl. I left home as a teen and never looked back but I've always worked two jobs including zoo keeper,Forestry, nurse, and school bus driver for 15 years. I've found a niche working as a licensed handywoman the last six years. Trying to finish my associate's degree in computer science and real estate licensure by August. I guess the rest is on my page. Nice to be here. Hugs,Patti

I am JulieAnn. I have one daughter and 2 grandsons. I am not big on babies. I enjoy children at the ages of 5 to 10. I believe they are the most ready to learn and open to ideas at this age. they are finding out who they are, mostly unjudging and open to new ideas. I have worked at church with this age group, teaching sunday school and girls groups.
I am just now starting to truely enjoy my grandsons as they are now 5 and 7. I enjoy doing things with them, teaching them, learning from them, and just enjoying thier views on life.
I am moving from MI to TN in June and will leaving my grandsons behind in MI. I am saddened at this, but I am hoping to have them visit on school holidays and durning the summer. I believe in having a close relationship with my grandkids even if by long distance. I believe extended family plays a vital role in childrens lives.
