Hi! I'm new here! November 28, 2006 4:26 PM

Howdy, howdy, howdy* um... hi and thanks for the invite. That (over to the left) is my crappy Driver's License photo - which explains why I look constipated - ugh!) I have just moved from L.A. to a tiny little backwater town in New York. I hope there is some fencing around here. I am looking for quality italian foil grips (impossible to find) as I prefer the Aldo Nadi school of fencing. But I remain open to any thoughts on the matter that do not include promoting "the flick." Blah blah blah (more later) dusty (*Lifted from my favorite Gary Larson cartoon - the one with the four vultures and the dead cowboy in the desert)  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Hello... December 20, 2006 11:14 PM

Thank you Jacida, for inviting me here! My name is Rick Hayward, and I am from Virden, Manitoba, Canada. There's little opportunity for swordplay in my area, but there is one fencing club in Brandon. I have some experience with foil, epee, and sabre. I still consider myself a novice though. I don't own any swords, yet, but hope to someday. It would be nice to be able to practivce at home.... Best Wishes, -Rick  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I fenced as an epeeist at the NCAA level 3 years for Notre Dame and now I am in central Texas and participate in the Adrian Empire - we do medieval recreation including swordplay with live steel and rapiers (tipped of course). I hope to get to know ya'll better. and if ya'll are in central Texas, well, then mosey on down and we;ll have a go! Hey all July 03, 2008 5:10 AM

Hey All I'm a historical Fencer in Australia. I mainly do Silver's single Sword (I also like alliteration) and I.33 sword and buckler. I'm sort of expanding into Hutton's Sabre system and Italian rapier. I've also done some Japanese sword.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
