My fellow writers, Please feel free to post your work here at any time. Whether it be a work in progress, a poem, an epic, a story, a fable, song, or just random thoughts, all are welcome. Let us gain inspiration from each other's work as well as encouragement for our own.  [ send green star]

Lady of the Forest June 19, 2005 7:48 PM

The fair maiden entered the wood on her noble and prestigious steed,

who trotted gracefully on the forest path.

Lush ferns and soft needles surrounded them

as the warm sunlight shimmered on their silhouettes.

She wore a pastel blue hooded cloak of silk,

which complimented her eyes as it

elegantly draped around her charming companion.

She was stunning to any eyes that could withstand her beauty.

A moist mist was about in the air

as the northern winds brought about a cool change in temperature.

It was really quite beautiful to observe her enchantment!

The feel around her is always calm and peaceful,

and even the woodland creatures recognize her presence.

All is merry, when the Lady of the Forest is near!

One Who Wanders Is Never Lost July 28, 2005 4:44 AM

Life has many roads, with forks and curves like branches.

Although one may wander from the straight path to what might feel like to them as aimlessly, is in fact their right and proper course.

Wandering leads to new discoveries and exciting adventures  that would not have been experienced had one stayed on the straight and easy path.

Life has many new things to offer if your heart and eyes are open to it.

Some are happy with their present course,

and many are too afraid of change to leave the comfortable and easy road.

I, however, welcome change and wander "purposely" down each and every

side road that life has to offer!

Though a wanderer has no real firm convictions or solidity backing up their choices, they are never lost!

For, wandering reveals the true you!!

In the Darkness July 28, 2005 9:25 AM

In the darkness
I find serenity,
Away
From the rest
Of the world.
There is no one here
For me to trouble.
I am an island
Away from the rest
Of humanity,
floating in a sea
Of night:
A silent specter,
Invisible to all others.
Unseen,
Unnoticed,
Unloved.
It is here
That I belong,
Unable to touch
Or to effect
The world around.
Nothing more than a memory
That will soon fade,
Then disappear.

My Final Good-Bye January 28, 2008 11:06 AM

My FINAL GOOD-BYE

I saw you like you were,

You came to me,

You came to rescue me,

Singing the song I used to sing,

As I rest, after my final good-bye.

True Friends shake your hand when you’re up on top,

And then pull you back when you slip and fall,

No wonder I fell, I tried to catch you all.

To you, this is my final good-bye,

But, wait, now don’t you cry,

I love you like a sister,

I love you like a secret that mustn’t be told,

But most of all I love you like my best friend,

No matter where you are or what you do,

Remember, I’ll always be with you.

You’ll find a day,

That you’ll want to run away,

And you’ll think of me,

Before you can count to 3,

Then you’ll cry,

Thinking of my last good-bye.

As I said before,

Don’t you cry,

Don’t hit your door,

I love you as many times as the world goes round, and many more.

Turn your frown around,

I hate to see you so down,

Remember that no matter what anyone says,

You ran my fan club, You were the Prez.

Don’t hold back your hatred to her,

Because if she hadn’t done it,

Things would be as the were,

Now it’s time for me to drop my pen,

I’ll see you every now and then,

Please don’t cry,

For your tears I no longer can dry.

For this is my final good-bye.

Your literary pieces are welcome September 20, 2008 2:46 PM

to my brother// when you died/ it was like i went/ away,too/ i was drawn into/ a space of/ shock and silence/ i was no longer/ in the world/ oh i could reach it/ live it as i needed to/ but i was never far/ or long from leaving/ again. i was just so stunned/ so lost in my loss/ even when i was here/ all of me wasn't/ i stood alone/ at a distance/ i did not rage or rant/ quite the opposite/ i just withdrew from life/ as much as i could/ whenever i could/ and sometimes when i/ shouldn't have/ should have been/ more present with people/ and i feel like i/ barely did anything/ i don't even know what/ i was so engaged in whatever/ i was thinking about/ or not thinking about/ or somewhere in between/ someone wondered if/ this was gonna be me/ from now on/ i was transformed/ unaware of how my feelings/ would change so immensely/ or ever so minutely over all of time gone by/ and it's only been a year.
