Lesson 1b Screenshots September 24, 2005 8:03 AM

Screen Shots There will come a time when you have a question and you just won't be able to explain what you're needing. That's the perfect time to make a screenshot. A screenshot is just taking a picture of something on your PC. Make sure you're looking at what you want to take the picture of, and then press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It is right above your Home and Delete keys. Nothing will appear to have happened, but it's there. If you are using a laptop, click on Ctrl & Alt & PrtSc SysRq. That only takes a snap shot of whatever program you are using at the time. The first 2 buttons are on the bottom row of the keyboard and the last one on top. If that doesn't work, press the Fn key (bottom) and PrtSc, that should take a picture of the whole screen. Now, right click on your PSP workspace and "Paste as new image". A shortcut for this is Control + V. You can then resize your screen shot because it's going to be big. The easiest way for a beginner to do it is to go to the top toolbar - Image - Resize - choose Percent and put the numbers on 85. Click OK. File - Save As - name it - you can save it as either a jpeg or a psp file. If you use Incredimail, there is an extremely easy way to upload jpeg or gif files. Open a new email and click on the Animations tab in the Style box. Down at the bottom, click on Add. You can then browse to the folder where you saved your screenshot, click on it, and then Open. It will automatically upload into your Collections folder. Now you can send it to the group or an individual for help.  [ send green star]
