Your day April 13, 2007 2:02 PM

As a retired woman over 60, and an empty nester, I found I had to reinvent myself, find a way to fill my days. So I listed the things I like to do, and now centre my days around certain activities. I go swimming, for a coffee with a friend or on my own, to the public library, to the store. I've joined a group or two and go there to socialise. Occasionally visit a restaurant for a meal. And time on the internet of course. How do you spend your day?  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I chose to return to Costa Rica to be near my family. This is not that easy. I am a gypsy at heart and wonder even now how long I will stay here. There is always the call of wonderous people just over the next hill. Who knows perhaps my association with Care2 will fill that wanderlust. Each morning and all through the day I have gratitude for the people and events in my life. I don't have time for aches or pains. Oh YES they are there, but when I don't make a big deal about them they are not prominently in my awareness. I am slowly furnishing a small but adequate apartment. I spent the first 6 weeks without a refrigerator. Right now I am renting a tiny one. Yet each aquistion is such a joy, this time I want to keep everything simple and minimalist. We are all so blessed. I would like to share some mantras I learned while living with the Ishayas. Take note folks, people paid over $200 to learn these first 4 out of 75 total that I had the privilidge to learn. (Why don't they have spell check on these messages?) Of things I don't have a dictionary is going on my want list. Back to the mantras. You do meditate don't you? If you don't you may want to begin. Where I leave a blank, insert whomever you see as the Source of all there is...................... Praise ________ for my life, exactly as it is. Thank _________ for my body world, exactly as it is. _________ loves me exactly as I am. OM Compassion. Blessed be dear ones. Life is a blast when we don't take ourselves too seriously. out and about May 22, 2007 2:24 PM

After 2 weeks of being isolated because of shingles, I finally was out today to socialise with a good friend. We had coffee at a local cafe, and never was I so glad as to see another human being! Added to that the sun was shining and yet it was cool enough to feel comfortable. Now I am expecting a phone call from my son, and my day will have been complete! I feel lucky.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
