just for today, i’ll spread some small, simple blessings. . . .

welcome to tuesday, and another day full of opportunities to make the lives of those in the world with us a bit brighter, a bit easier. what will you do with this new day that you’ve been given?

here’s our quotation:

I think so many of us are too hard on ourselves for what we didn’t accomplish or what we should have done. The first step is to forgive yourself for all the things you didn’t do that you should have and all the things that you did do that you shouldn’t have. Get rid of the guilt. Negative feelings don’t do you much good. The way to deal with them is to forgive yourself and forgive others.

just for today, i’ll appreciate the music in my life. . . .

welcome to a brand-new week and a new month that’s here just for us! we hope that you’re able to make the most of the time ahead by concentrating on each moment as you live through it, as we all work to create a series of positive moments that will make positive hours, days, weeks, and months. enjoy the month!

here’s today’s quotation:

You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world’s happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime.

just for today, i’ll share my smile more. . . .

friday’s here again, and we hope that you're able to end your week in very positive ways!

here’s today’s quotation:

An archer competing for a clay vessel shoots effortlessly, his skill and concentration unimpeded. If the prize is changed to a brass ornament, his hands begin to shake. If it is changed to gold, he squints as if he were going blind. His abilities do not deteriorate, but his belief in them does, as he allows the supposed value of an external reward to cloud his vision.

just for today, i’ll keep in mind that others are going through struggles of their own. . . .

welcome to the newest thursday in our life, hopefully one that we can make into a very positive day in our lives. we’ve had many thursdays to practice with, so perhaps this one will be an improvement over the previous ones. . . .

here’s our quotation for this day:

Believe all the good you can of everyone. Do not measure others by yourself. If they have advantages which you have not, let your liberality keep pace with their good fortune. Envy no one, and you need envy no one.

William Hazlitt

The happiest people are those who think the most interesting thoughts. Interesting thoughts can only live in cultivated minds. Those who decide to use leisure as a means of mental development, who love good music, good books, good pictures, good plays at the theater, good company, good conversation—what are they? They are the happiest people in the world; and they are not only happy in themselves, they are the cause of happiness in others.

Hope is reaching out again,
To learn to trust once more;
It's picking up the shattered dreams,
That lay scattered on the floor.

Hope is learning how to smile,
When tears have lingered long;
In finding you are weak no more,
For life has made you strong.

Hope is learning every hand,
Is not one filled with pain;
For there are hands with gentle touch,
With that, your heart will change.

Hope is in the knowledge,
That you hold deep in your soul;
In learning to love and trust again,
Your heart will now be whole.

Remember, our bodies are obsolete, our minds are modern.................A perfect example of this is, should we want to take a journey, our bodies would have to buy a ticket and wait in line, our minds can go this second, anywhere without a dime.

Happy Earth Day!!!

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."
- Native American Proverb
"I believe in humanity. We are an incredible species. We're still just a child creature; we're still being nasty to each other. And all children go through those phases. We're growing up, we're moving into adolescence now. When we grow up - man, we're going to be something!"
- Gene Roddenberry, was an amazing human being and creator of a Star Trek. Beam me up Scottie!
"Today we celebrate Earth Day. As we continue to head closer to Unity consciousness we will all become more aware and active towards helping to preserve our environment, and this is good. But the best way for us to save the planet is to save ourselves. Each one of us is a microcosm of the macro Earth and represents our own planet if you will. Just as the whole of our body is made up of 75-100 trillion cells, so to is the Earth made up of 6.77 billion human beings. The health of each cell either adds or detracts to the overall health of your body. If enough cells grow sick the body will grow sick as well. The same can be said for us and the Earth. Since we have been given the powers of thought, intuition and conscious choice we are the caretakers of this Planet we all share. Your job is to be as happy and healthy as you can be - your happiness will rub off on others helping them to find happiness thus creating a ripple effect and making our world happier and healthier than it was before. Yes, it's important to take steps to Save the Planet, but the reality is the Planet doesn't need saving. It was here long before we were and it will be here long after us if we mess it all up. What we are truly doing today on this Earth Day is saving ourselves and that great challenge begins in your life in the everyday choices you make to either choose love or fear. If you want to Save the Planet choose love."

"A day without laughter is a day wasted."
~ Charlie Chaplin

"Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain."
~ Charlie Chaplin

Few things are as easy to share as laughter. Laughter is a universal language. When it is born of joy, laughter spreads from soul to soul, skipping over the differences between individuals. Laughter is trans-cultural because it brings us in touch with our most basic common denominator: we are one humanity. Make a point today to share the joy of laughter with those you meet.

"It's not your job to like me - it's mine."
"Would you rather be right or free?"
- Byron Katie, is a speaker and author who teaches a method of self-inquiry known as "The Work."
"My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return."

- Maya Angelou, is an American autobiographer and poet.

"Your fears and insecurities are only as real as you believe them to be. The Truth is that you're unlimited and free."

"The secret is not to give up hope. It's very hard not to because if you're really doing something worthwhile I think you will be pushed to the brink of hopelessness before you come through the other side. You just have to hang in through that."
- George Lucas, my main man George created Star Wars and Indiana Jones. He's the Godfather of all that is radical and nerdical.

"It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.

Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging."

- Joseph Campbell, my other main man wrote "Hero With A Thousand Faces", which is the blue print for the one cycle of life and story. His work has influences countless artists in every medium.
"The most helpful and beneficial thing you can do is to seek clarity of your intention in what you desire to create and manifest. If your desire is to experience unlimited abundance, you may experience its opposite, merely so you have the opportunity to use your free will of choice to choose the truth of unlimited abundance. If your intention is to move beyond fear, you may experience fearful things to allow you the opportunity to choose Love.

Become willing to give up your judgment of any of it, and know that everything you desire is always unfolding perfectly."

- Roger Wilhelm-Burnley, is an LA based vocal coach, entrepreneur and writer.

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."
~ Unknown

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."
~ Herman Cain

Most people spend huge amounts of time and energy looking for happiness, but if you assign your happiness to external events, you will continue to search. Happiness is a state of being. It is a mindset. The key to happiness is to learn how to change the context of each situation so that we are able to see the possibilities for joy instead of just the negatives.

"Anger makes you smaller, while forgiveness forces you to grow beyond what you were. "
~ Cherie Carter-Scott

"When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free."
~ Catherine Ponder

Forgiveness is the act of unchaining yourself from thoughts and feelings that bind you to an offense, imagined or real, committed against you. It is a commitment to a process of growth and change. The first step is to recognize the value of forgiveness and the positive impact it can have in our lives. When we forgive, we release the control and power of the offending person and stop playing the victim. We no longer define our lives by how we have been hurt and instead can define ourselves by how we have grown.

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.”

-- Denis Waitley

Peace, joy, health and well-being can only be found inside us. They exist within us now, waiting to be discovered. Yet we tend to look to the outside world to satisfy our needs and longings.

Our outer life reflects back to us the way we think, feel and behave. The outer world is all effects. Go to the source inside for all of life’s treasures.

How are you searching for peace and contentment outside of yourself?

"The great Western disease is, ‘I'll be happy when… When I get the money. When I get a BMW. When I get this job.’ Well, the reality is, you never get to when. The only way to find happiness is to understand that happiness is not out there. It's in here. And happiness is not next week. It's now."

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson
from his "Self Reliance" Essay, Emerson was an American essayist, philosopher, poet, and leader of the Transcendentalist movement in the early 19th century.
"Don't die with your music still inside you. Listen to your intuitive inner voice and find what passion stirs your soul. Listen to that inner voice, and don't get to the end of your life and say, 'What if my whole life has been wrong?"
-Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Dyer is a best-selling author and an amazing individual. If you go to you can see a photo of Wayne in a Love Yourself tee shirt!
My Reaction to the Obama Inauguration
I can't help but yet again be inspired by the dramatic moment that was January 20th, 2009. In the moment I was filled with optimistic anticipation as I watched our 44th President be sworn in.
Let us remember that as amazing and inspirational as Barack Obama is, he is only a man - and he needs our help.
Now is the time to not seek for what we want and expect it to show up, now is the time to give to all our brothers and sisters what we desire for ourselves and what we want will show up in tremendous abundance. Now is the time to set free our past prejudices and realize that what we hate about others is really a reflection of what we hate about ourselves. Barack Obama has opened the door way, but Barack Obama cannot do this alone.
If we open up to the Spirit of Giving we will let go our thought patterns of lack and start allowing the flow of growth back into our lives, this act alone can end our current financial challenge. We must shed the false belief that there is lack in our life and as a result we must protect the little that we have and embrace a new belief that what we want is already here and the best way to get it is to give what we want to someone else with a pure heart.
Barack Obama is a spark and will make a great President, but he is not the President of your United State. Barack Obama might be a great man, but he is not powerful enough to make the best choices in your life everyday. Barack Obama is an inspiring man, but his words would be powerless without your action.
We have to become the President of our own lives. We must seek our own inner peace, inner freedom and inner fearlessness. Barack Obama cannot give this to you - he can help to show you the way, but you and only you can make this choice and this pledge to yourself.
So today instead of asking "What's in it for me?" begin to ask "How can I serve and give what I desire for myself to another"? A life of service and giving to others what we want for ourselves puts us in control of our own lives and is the only path that we can walk to manifest the change that we all so desperately desire.
