DUO Around the World Candlelight Wave for World Peace (Sept 21, 2012)

In 2002 the General Assembly of the United Nations officially declared September 21 as the permanent date for the International Day of Peace. Folks all over the world will participate in many different activities that focus on world peace. This will be DUO’s fourth annual Candlelight Wave. As before, I encourage DUO members around the world to light a candle during their local time of 8-10 P.M. on September 21.  If members from every time zone participate, a wave of candlelight will slowly move around the world during the entire International Day of Peace. A minimum of 2 hours each will allow for time-zone overlap. Each member will spend their 2 hours any way they wish. One way is to invite friends to share the experience and spend a little time focusing on world peace.
