De L--I am so sorry for your loss. You were very lucky to have had him for his whole life. He was a very lucky boy to have had you love him forever. I know your pain and I genuinely feel your pain. I hope your heart heals little by little. Maybe one day you can give another deserving baby the love and security you gave Mickey. There is nothing that I can say to make this any easier, but I truly understand your feelings of loss. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself time to heal.

Thanks for the invitation Alice - and as you know my beautiful dog - Mickey - passed away on Monday morning - in my arms - while I was asleep. I had her since the minute she was born - and also had to give her mouth to mouth. I was with her in the very beginning - and right to the very end she knew she was well cared for and very - very well loved. On our birthday - May 5 - she would have been 15. A long and beautiful life.
I am going to do everything that I can to stop animal abuse and to make people aware of this. I plan on doing more fundraising - through my business - and making more donations in Mickey's memory. I wish that every animal was so well loved.

It's true there is a lot of us italians in the US, in the 1800s there have been a lot of immigrants. I don't have relations in the US but an aunt of my dad married a man from Manchester (UK) in the Thirties, and I think I have some relations in Australia
