Thank you Paola for the invite to this group. My name is Patricia Nigro & I live in Florida,USA. My heart breaks to see so much animal abuse all over the world. I say if tou can make a difference then do it! With the caring people on Care2 we do it one person at a time by our signing the Petitions, each signature is valuable & needed to help the animals. I am so grateful for being associated with such great caring, compassionate & loving people who care what happens to our animals. Thank you all for being such great people.
Hi Paola, thank you for the invite, glad to be apart of your group and to speak for the voiceless. I do see a few familiar members here as I am also a member of Amicord. I reside in the northeast US. Good to be here!
Hi Paola, thank you for the invite, glad to be apart of your group and to speak for the voiceless.

Thanks for the invite, Paola! I love all animals, especially my three canine children. I look forward the changes and difference I know we will make. A little about me: I'm a writer working on the first book I intend to publish. It's a simple book of poems and anecdotal musings. I'll be publishing my works through CreateSpace.com. I hardly ever eat animal flesh anymore, but due to the recent news of genetically-modified animals being sold as food, I may very well never eat one again! It breaks my heart when I hear of yet another creature being tortured, abused, or killed at the hands of a soulless human. I look for cruelty-free products; unfortunately, I live in south Texas, so I am somewhat of an anomaly here.
Thank you so much for the invite, Paola. I am owned by 13 dogs, but love all animals.
I live in Brasil, in the mountains, country life. Am a mom and grandmother. Let's make some difference. Blessings to all new friends here. Thank you.
Hi I am Dimitrije from Belgrade,
thanks Paola for invitation in this group.
this group is close to my heart.
Thank you all for being here.
I love you all,
Thank You very much for the invitation. I will work with you as close as I can with all the issues. I am a very avid animal activist here in California, in the beautiful Napa, Valley. I do allot of animal resucue work and take care of many feral cat colonys as well as my own. I love all animals with the deepest of my heart. Many people do not understand me because I devote all of my time to the benefit and welfare for the animals. The reward I get to see with my eyes and feel in my heart when I see these feral babies all talking to me and running to me when it is feeding time is beyond description it makes my heart jump for joy to see these little babies with a good meal and full tummy before they go to bed especially on these cold winter nights. Thank You so much for inviting me to this group. Looking forward to all the issues and causes.
We all know that we are the Voice for all the Voiceless and all of our children with Paws.
Love to all,

Anyways, I would like to thank everyone for making a difference.
I know that it is hard sometimes, but we must keep fighting, ALL of the babies are counting on us.
I will do my best to help when I can, where I can.
I only have one question........When do we start kicking the "leaders" of this world in the pants????????
My good friends all me by my given names; Freebird or Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!
Also I hope that I don't offend anyone, but I do have a very intense passion for the Animal world. I am VERY laid back, EXCEPT when it comes to our Brothers and Sisters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I forgot to visit this thread first - I joined a few weeks ago. Glad to be here, as I see friends and familiar faces.
Thank you so much, Paola, for the invitation and all your good work on behalf of our animal brothers and sisters.
THANKS PAOLA !!!
When you are with someone you love very much, you can talk and it is pleasant, but the reality is not in the conversation. It is in simply being together. Meditation is the highest form of prayer. In it you are so close to God that you don't need to say a thing--it is just great to be together.
thanks for the invitation Paola im a animal advicate as everyone else is here in my books we can never have enough animal groups they was put here for a reason and its our responsibilitie to protect them in every way we can nation wide
Thanks for the invitation to join this group, Paola. I've been advocating for animals most of my life and this group is an opportunity to do even more. What a comfort to be among such caring and dedicated animal lovers. I'm proudly owned by 10 cats, 2 frogs and the numerous wildlife that come out of the woods every night, to eat with my feral cats. I will do all that I can to support this group in their endeavors to make this world a better place, for ALL of our furry friends.
Thank you again, Paola, for the invitation. I will sign gladdly all the petitions and help in anyway I can. There's a HUGE thing to find people that use their time speaking for those who has no voice to do it. Please, forgive me for not introducing myself before, I'm kind of missled sometimes... And, of course, forgive me if there is any mistake in my English for I speak Spanish.
Happy New Year to all!

And thank you for the invitation to join. Like all of you good people on here I hate and detest any cruelty to animals, hunting, shooting, vivisection, testing, declawing and many others awful things as well. I've spent most of my adult life campaigning, protesting and doing whatever I can and will never give up until my dying day, but oh, doesn't it sometimes seem like bashing your head against a brick wall!
I'll be doing my bit on here by writing as many protest letters and signing as many petitions as I can though living in the UK sometimes we can't sign USA petitions. I have a petition too which I'll post as soon as the "ink dries" on my membership application. Best wishes and courage to all!
I'm Christine, a licensed veterinary technician with a B.S. in Veterinary Technology and Masters cert in marine mammal science. I work full time as a tech in a large specialty & emergency hospital, and also online as a veterinary expert to help people pay much less for advice, help, home remedies and such. I'm happy to be a part of this group, and hope my scheduling allows frequent visits to help out your cause.
Hi all members and group founder!
A bit late but here's my introduction to the group. My name is Carina and I live in Sweden with my partner and our 2 dogs, I have 3 grown children but no grandkids as of yet. I love animals, always have, and I care deeply for their welfare, be it domestic or wild animals. I'm happy to get invited and I'll do my very best to further the group's causes.
Hugs and Hello from Carina
Hello! I´m here on this group and I have not introduced myself yet! Well, I`m from Portugal, I`m a mother of 3 daughters and a Portuguese Language`s teacher. I have 1 dog and 3 cats.I love animals and try to do what I can for their welfare/rights: signing petitions, writing letters ( however I prefer to send sample ones, because the time is not much to so many activities I´m in), spreading actions alerts for animals on my blogs, here, Facebook and My Space. Sometimes, I only can make short visits here and on the other networkings because my work ( teachers work day and night) but I do my best to fight for the animals.
I want to thank each and every one of you for being here, and these words of gratitude come from the deepest place in my heart. I love this group and I love you all.
Thank you for your support!
Thank you having me in this group. I LOVE ANIMALS MORE THAN ANYTHING IN LIFE. I am mom to 3 lab rescues,1 human daughter,3 grandkids and wife to a wonderful person who loves animals as much as I.
I am here to check in. I am the Mommy to 2 Rotty rescues. Chloe is my senior girl and Brody that is my puppy boy. I have been doing Rotty rescue for about 10 years now--and I only take the older ones that are slated for euthenasia for whatever reason. I am glad to be here. Thank you for the invitation.
Hi to all. Sorry I have not introduced myself yet. My name is Jennie and I live in San Juan. I am the mother of two adult sons, three darling mixed breed dogs, all rescued from the street, one bird, and grandma to seven cats, rescued from the streets by my son, but for whom I "babysit" quite often when he travels. Thanks to all of you for making a difference and for helping to ease the pain of so many innocent animals.
Thank you for the invite Paola! I am glad to be part of this group and will do as much as I can to help!
thank you PAOLA for inviting me. I have a 13 year old daughter and 2 maine coon cats i rescued from a breeder who, thank God, was shut down. very happy to be a part of this group!!
Thank you for the invitation Paola. One of my many passions is to be a voice for the voiceless. I will check back in later.
for the invitation to this group. I love poultry and I am fighing to end factory farming. It's good to be in a group of people fighting for the same causes.
Hello to all! My name is Stacy. I live in Iowa USA. I have 2 children and 3 cats. I have been a member here for a long time but just recently completed my information on my page. I am so glad I did because I have found there are so many wonderful people here from all over the world. I feel privileged to be here among you all!!
Thank You Paola for inviting me.
Hello Paola I to am sorry for not signing in here...This is a wonderful group and I am so happy to be a part of it. Knowing there are others like me who believe every living thing is deserving of respect and we are not the supreme beings to do with animals and the environment what we please...No one had a choice in what we were born as and I feel such a kinship with all animals and I love them with my whole heart. I physically volunteer for a wonderful org. animal lifeline who help rescues and animals in need. In the early 90's I realized the need to help my local shelter with the bar och of small mammals leaving me with 14 ferrets, 6 rats, a lot of the little guys and a chinchilla along with my 3 cats & 2 dogs, I know live in a apt, with a 19yr old cat who is the last of my rescue days I miss them all soooo much. Oh well thats my story and thank you so much for inviting me here.
Thanks for the invite, Paola. I will do my best to sign what I can.
Welcome to all of you. These are a great group of people. Enjoy.
Hello everyone, I just joined the group yesterday. Thank you Paola for inviting me.
My time on the computer is limited right now but I will do my best to be a contributing member of this group.
Blessings to all,
Welcome Michele. I think you will really enjoy the Group. Really nice people. See you soon.
I am from New Hampshire and I have two cats who I love to pieces. They are what inspired me to get involved in animal welfare, wildlife and the environment. I've been signing petitions and writing to the representatives of my state and others and trying to get things on the road to change. I'm new at this, but I've been very proactive about getting things done. I'm happy that there are forums like these where real action happens.
I'm new at this but I'm sticking around.
I have been a member for some time, but seldom do I post comments. I sign all the petitions though! I live in OKC with two spoiled (uhm, I mean pampered) dogs and two ruling cats. I spend lots of time with a friend's horses as well. I am critter crazy. Have a great weekend!!!!!
Hi to everyone and thanks for the invite Paola.
I'm living in Libya, and Mum to 3 cats, and a Doberman, as well as 4 children. I have loved animals all my life and will do my best to protect any animal, and fight for its rights, be it 'wild' or
domesticated. I will gladly sign any petitions and take action, but I may be unable to participate in group discussions as I have limited time to spend on the computer. I also am an activist for the oceans, environment and human rights and against all forms of abuse.
I'm so happy to be able to help in some way and find people likewise devoted to these beautiful creatures, God has allowed us to share our planet with
Hello, I am from Canada. I have loved animals all my life, and will help in anyway that I can. I just recently lost my profile, and Friends, hoping to make new ones. I guess Care2 must have had a computer glitch. I do not do groups alot, as I am busy, but will certainly give what time I have to the needs of the voiceless.
Hugs to all,
My name is Lianne and I live in Australia. I have a Cockateil Bird and a Red Heeler Cross that I rescued from the local pound. When I first saw my dog at the pound, she was so malnourished that her bones were sticking out and she had teets. She was very timid, especially around men. Three years later, she has grown into the most beautiful girl and has the most beautiful temprament. I can not understand how anyone can treat any animal badly, it breaks my heart. It is an honour to be part of this group and I am happy to help. Thank You Paola for inviting me
Hello Thankyou for inviting me to the Group! ( : I Love all animals and want to help Save them. I will always sign all the petitions I can and do what I can for animal rights. I would like to know how I can join the Circus rights advocates when the circus comes to town, I would like to be there boycotting it. I used to like the circus when I was younger I guess as maybe we all did , but now that I know what they do to the animals I Hate the circus. I Especially Love Tigers , I also have a Cat Lily she is a calico and was the runt of the liter , but she is now healthy and happy and wild lol. Also I had a Cat named Tiger who was a grey Taby. He died on Christmas day 2008 I came home from celebrating Christmas at my Parents house and found him under my bed. Unknown cause of death. Also we had another cat named Prince who was a Grey mix he died of Throat Cancer. But we have Lily now who is crazy, but really cute and adorable at the same time lol. Nice to be part of this group.
I thought I had already introduced myself but it seems not. I'm Gabriela García Mayagoitia from Mexico City. I have 2 Siberian Huskies and 4 cats. I'm a TV Producer and my main goal is to watch over animal rights, so it's great to be part of this group.
I am Sophia from Greece, an animal lover. I got a dog, a cat and a hamster!
The vet taking care of them calls me "Tom & Jerry" The only difference is Walt Disney was definitely NOT my dad.I've been sick of the way Greeks treat their pets, so I joined Care2 to make a difference and I found out that animals suffer elsewhere too.I hope that we, as members of this and other groups and sites will finally succeed to achieve our goals and MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!! Thanks
I live in Southern California for right now. Before that I lived in Alaska for many years.
I joined Care2 about a year ago but only recently began reading the articles and signing petitions.
I must admit I too am one of those who did not come here when I first joined. I have wandered through the posts a bit though and I must say it looks like there is some good stuff going on here.
I care about animals, wild and domestic.
Cleaning up our act to at least ensure the world doesn't get any more polluted than it is now and hopefully correcting some of the damage. I believe we also need to work diligently on saving room for all creatures.
Hi Paola and everyone else on this site,
I'm Winefred living in the Netherlands and I already told my story on the other thread.
I see some familiar names and thank you Paola for inviting me!
What a great cause this group is about! I am Northern from Vancouver, British Columiba and love animals. Will support what I can. Around and about Care 2 quite a bit and have been for quite some time.
Nice to see some familiar faces here!
I would like to say a big HELLO to Everyone. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paola for inviting me to the group!
I have been on Care2 a while and some may recognise me from other groups. Unfortunately I don't have any pets. I did have untill about two year ago a rescued (I found Her in the middle of the road) Greyhound. She was lovely, when I found her I must admit I did not want to keep her (as I had not had dogs before) but no one claimed her and I did not have the heart to take her to the Kennels. So she became my friend and compannion she was with me for not quite 10 year I think she was about 14 - 15 when she died which is a really good life span for a Greyhound. In those years I have many funny stories to tell , as she was a character. Like many of you will have with your pets/friends!
I look forward to getting to know all of you!
I am Paola, the Group Owner, I welcome the new member.
Thanks for joining us
and I wish you all
Hello to you all. I am new to this group, thank you for accept me into this group. All animals are my passion. My name is Debb and from Australia. I will do anything to help the animals that need my voice. And I want to improve the law to be stronger for protection on all animals from cruelty abuses. I look forward very much to be in this group onward.
Thank you all for you support to LAAR group.
LAAR Links are:
Hiya. Im Chavaughn from Cape Town, South Africa. All animals are dear to me and I do what I can to help and protect. Paola has been one of my friends on care2 since I became a member and just wanted to give a big shout out for creating a great group of not only people but a cause dear to my heart!
hi, my name is lucy and i'm from london england. i love all animals and this group has a meaning very close to my heart
My name is Gina and I am from Charlotte, NC. It's absolutely wonderful that people from around the world care about animals like I do. It's a pleasure to be able to voice my opinions and concerns to folks who understand where I am coming from. Nice to meet you all!
Sorry I forgot to visit this thread when I first joined last year. My name is Eyda from Miami Florida USA. I have a grown-up son ,2 stepsons and 4 grandchildren. I am the proud mother to 12 furry babes (7 girls and 5 boys) plus 1 girl I rescued 2 months ago (she'll probably join the family) 5 owls that live in out property plus numerous wildlife (we live in 2.25 acres in the country) I can't ride now but my neighbor keeps 4 horses in our property....I love ALL animals and always have!! I find cruelty to animals despicable and evil !! I do all I can to help any animal in need plus all I can here at Care2. I am so glad Paola invited me to this group...it is so uplifting to share my love of animals with others that feel the same way. Please count with me to do all I can to help in any way!! Many Blessings to all!!!&
1 year ago I lost my father. Today is the 1st anniversary of his death.
I woukd like to send a BIG THANK YOU to all my co-host, friends and members for your important support during these difficult months
Dear Paola: I am SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS!!! I know how you feel...I have lost BOTH of my parents...It will always hurt...but it will get better!!!
Sending you much LOVE and friendship
My name is Cj and I run a cat rescue out of my home, which used to be in Florida but now I have moved to TN.
Heres a link to our cat rescue: www.freewebs.com/heavenssafehaven
The cats we could not find homes for we brought with us to TN.
I am a Vet Asst, and have worked at many Vet Hospitals in Florida and also at animal shelters.
I am pro NO Kill, and I also am a animal rights activist.
I have been doing rescue work for 7yrs or more now, and I have probably seen more animal cruelty then the average person, which is why I fight for animal rights whenever possible.
I wanted to join this group as soon as I heard of it, and hope to fight this good fight for animals everywhere.
I've been here a while now but I never introduced myself. My name is Shameeza Mohammed and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. I'm 18 years old right now but when I finish school I will like to become a Veterinarian. I love animals and people, although I know that some people can be cruel but I will still love them too because it's the right thing to do, although they don't deserve my love! But whatever they have done wrong I know that God will give them what they deserve. It's His place to punish them not mine. I cry and I hurt alot when I see animals and people suffering. I can't stand to see anyone or anything hurt. I wish I could help the whole world but I can't. But I can help some people and that's why I joined Care2, to help in any way that I can! I also care for the environment. I love living in the country rather than the city. I guess you can say I'm a nature girl I love trees and flowers alot! I also want to do anything to help protect the environment and our planet. I'm very thankful for this beautiful planet Earth but some people just don't care which really upsets me I get really angry when I see people littering and sometimes I even clean up after them but sometimes while driving I see people throw their garbage in the rivers and just drive away! Unfortunately I can't retrieve that from the river. Ugh! They really annoy me! And when people cut down trees and start fires which burns our beautiful environment, kills animals and contributes to global warming, well you all should hear how I argue about that at home! When I start you can't get me to stop! I go on and on about what these people are doing to our environment and planet but I just don't know what to do to stop them
As for pets, I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 turtle, 1 iguana and some ducks and chickens and I love them all very, very much! I think that this is a very beautiful organization and the people here are even more beautiful! I am very proud to be part of this group and so very happy to see that there are still good people in the world! Because from what I've seen going on, I thought all hope was lost. But being here and meeting so many wonderful, caring and loving people enabled me to have hope again! And I know that together we can make the world a better place!
Hi everyone, wherever you are..
My name is Diah, you can call me dhy dhy ( read : Didy)
I'm 19 years old..
I live in Indonesia, FYI it's a country in that has Bali in it..
I'm currently study at Parahyangan University in Bachelor Degree for International Relation..
I'm happy to join Care2, because I do care about our environment and wildlife around the world..
Here, I can participate, giving advices, signing petitions, and up - to - date with the current issues..
Please, don't hesitate to share you thoughts with me..
My name is Pam and I'm from Lake Village, Indiana, USA. I joined the group this month and an very impressed with the members and all the good work you do. I am married and have 2 daughters and 2 grandsons. My 4-legged children include 2 pit bulls, 5 cats, a pony, and a miniature donkey . . . . all rescues! We live in the country on 20 acres and have fostered (and then adopted) many large animals -- 2 cows, 4 horses, 3 llamas, and 8 goats -- which we kept as part of our family until the end of their natural lives. I've had some health issues the past couple of years, so we haven't taken in any more large animals as I was the main caregiver. My husband is an over-the-road trucker so he is not home all the time to help. I miss my large animal friends. They are just as loving as any dog or cat. I love all animals and I am a very active animal defender. One of my dreams is to see the end of all animal abuse before I leave this world.
hi to all..and wat U see is wat U get. yes that's i in the avi.
i have 2 cats, numerous goldfish in a huge pond and my dog Zeki who is a Kangal from Turkey. i will probably disagree with a few post as our "rules" here in Oz r so different. but there r a few animals in the wild that i support and care about.
more later in the discussions.
Hi Everyone my name is Clare I live with one westhighland terrier and one mini holland lop rabbit. I help out at the local no kill dog rescue shelter by taking food, toys, and bedding in which my mum knits and I also help out at a wildlife rescue centre called Wildlife Hospital when needed to pick up injured animals and drop them off at the centre to be treated and then released back into the wild when they are well again. The animals could be anything from deer to tiny birds you name it they treat it. I'm also a member of The Dr Hadwen Trust for non animal medical research and St Tiggywinkles which is a wildlife rescue centre. Love all animals and want to make a difference as much as I can to help make the life of animals better all over the world.
Hi All, Sioux from Oz (Australia actually)
BIG (((Hug))) & Than.q to Brinda for inviting me.
i would like to take this chance to mention that as i grow older & hopefully wiser, i find i can't actually say i believe 100% in much, the more i see & learn, the more there is to see & learn.... therefore my mind like my Heart remains open.
One thing which is certain for me though is, Love & Kindness above all else, in no matter what we do, whether we want to help save our Animal Family, our Mother Earth, the list goes on...... if we respond with anger & hate we fuel these lower vibrating emotions & without realising it we become one & the same with those we try to awaken/change/stop! our Collective Consciousness desperately needs to rise above this negativity & fly to the beautiful heights it did long ago... a very difficult thing to achieve especially when we feel so passionate about the multitude of injustices we encounter & become slightly disolusioned on our Path.
It's my daily task to always attempt to see 'both sides' & if i definitely can't do that, then to at least feel Compassion for ALL (this includes the perps), we don't know how painful & tragic their journey so far has been...
i KNOW much more can be achieved this way through Love, Understanding, Compassion, than through force, anger & hate!
We hurt ourelves & all who reside on our Beautiful Planet by vibrating with hate & anger.
with Love & Light to ALL, Sioux
I'm back on this thread after a long time.Due to personal reasons I was not very active. I had a big operation,I lost a kidney last year due to A Grawitz tumor and I my father died two months ago.I got a relapse from the whole situation, feeling depressed and all.But now I'm back with the help of yoga and my lovely family and doctors.I'm doing fine what my illness concerns.Anyway glad to be back and ready to take actions against animal cruelty I'm already saddened by the petitions.stories and videos I saw.
P.S. Right on Sioux I agree entirely.
ANIMALS ARE THE BEST FRIENDS OF US ALL.MOST PEOPLE DON,T TAKE NOTICE OF THE ANIMALS HOW MUCH THEY DEVOTE THEMSELVES TO OUR SERVICES.THEY PROVIDE US COMPANY,LOVE AND SECURITY FOR US ALL.THEY ARE THE MOST LOYAL LIVING CREATURES ON THE MOTHER EARTH.THEY NEED OUR LOVE AND AFFECTION TOO.
MY LOVE FOR ANIMALS!
Animals are loyal,
loving and obedient.
Caring and affectionate,
Gorgeous as can be!
Animals are friends,
Best friends to me.
Always standing by you,
As willing as can be.
But still they exist.
Nothing will ever hurt them more,
Than hatred and mistrust.
Always there to talk to,
Although they don't reply.
You see it in their eyes,
And know that they'll stand by.
They save life's,
And help the blind.
But still we do not see,
That animals weren't made as slaves,
But as friends for you and me!!!
I am so sorry to read that you had problems. I hope now you are well. My prayers are with you. Paola
Thank you for the lovely thoughts and words.
I'm much better now.
Hello my name is Vivien Green. I feel passionately about animals having Legal Rights. This planet belongs to them and their Rights need to recognised and respected. It grieves me to read day after day on Care2 the abhorrent mindless slaughtering and abuse of innocent creatures. I am proud to belong to a group who wants to fight for animal rights.
Hi Everyone and thank you Paola for the invitation. This is a wonderful group and such lovely people on board. I am very happy and grateful to be part of Legal Action 4 Animal Rights and help in anyway I can. Lets make the world a better place for the animals, wild and domestic. Helping animals every possible way mean so much to me. If we can stop some of the animals suffering horrific abuse all over the world I'm happy and thankful.
God Bless you all. Sending everyone lots of love and as Anna Hickl said in the above post a year ago...Lets Make a Difference and "We Will".
I did introduce myself when I signed up. Most comments here are a year old. Why do I keep getting this message. I have asked not to receive so many duplicates for the same petition. I get far too many emails and if I get one I will attend to it since I am a passionate animal advocate. Can you find a better way to have these forwarded to members so I get one copy? It would simplify my life and give me time to sign more petitions if you could accomplish that.
Thank you. You can learn more about me on my personal page with Care2.
Here some of our numbers: thanks to all my wonderful Hosts, friends and members of my groups. Together we can make a difference
