Expect God's Protection
We should expect God's protection, and thank Him for it.
But we must remember that we receive from God by faith. So if
we don't believe God will protect us, we are, in effect,
hindering God's protection.
So we need to feed our faith on the promises of the Bible
concerning God's protection for His people. There are many, but
here are two.
ISAIAH 54:17 GWN
17 No weapon that has been made to be used against you will
succeed. You will have an answer for anyone who accuses you.
This is the inheritance of the LORD's servants. Their victory
comes from me," declares the LORD.
LUKE 10:19 NKJ
19 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing
shall by any means hurt you.
Then we also need to express our faith in thanks to God every
day for His protection. The ninety-first Psalm can help us do
this. I suggest you make it personal and speak it often.
CONFESSION BASED ON PSALM 91 NLT
1 I live in the shelter of the Most High so I will find rest in
the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my
place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue me from every trap and protect me from
4 He will cover me with his feathers. He will shelter me with
his wings. His faithful promises are my armor and protection.
5 I will not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the
arrow that flies in the day.
6 I will not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the
disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at my side, though ten thousand are
dying around me, these evils will not touch me.
8 I can just open my eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.
9 I make the LORD my refuge, I make the Most High my shelter,
10 so no evil will conquer me; no plague will come near my
11 For he will order his angels to protect me wherever I go.
12 They will hold me up with their hands so I won't even hurt
my foot on a stone.
13 I will trample upon lions and cobras; I will crush fierce
lions and serpents under my feet!
14 The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will
protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in
trouble. I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life and give them my
SAY THIS: Thank You Lord for protecting me and my family today.
1 John 5:4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is
the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
Heaven Is A Happy Place
PSALM 16:11 NKJ
11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is
fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Heaven is where God is fully manifest and in His presence there
is fullness of joy. That's why Heaven is a happy place!
FULLNESS OF JOY! We have never yet experienced that, but in
Heaven we will.
REVELATION 21:4 NKJ
4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there
shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be
no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
In Heaven there will be nothing that will ever cause
unhappiness. Everything will always be perfect.
LUKE 15:10 NKJ
10 "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the
angels of God over one sinner who repents."
Angels are smiling, not frowning. God is not mad. No one in
Heaven is having a bad day. No one is struggling.
ROMANS 14:17 NKJ
17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but
righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Where God rules everything is right and there is peace and joy!
God Himself is the Source of joy and is Himself full of joy.
ZEPHANIAH 3:17 NKJ
17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with
His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
God is not worried or afraid. He rejoices in His work, His
creation. He has confidence in His plan and His ability to
carry it out. In His presence is fullness of joy because He is
full of joy and everything He does produces joy.
PSALM 2:4 NKJ
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold
them in derision.
Bad things may be happening here on earth. But it is not
worrying Heaven or causing discouragement there. Because a
glorious future has been determined and nothing will stop God's
Jesus of Nazareth came from Heaven and perfectly revealed God
to us in human flesh. He was not a somber man everyone was
afraid to be around. No! Jesus attracted people like children
and sinners. He was known as a friend of sinners. Jesus was no
killjoy. As a perfect man with complete faith in God, it is
very likely that Jesus laughed a lot, rejoicing in God and His
Even though we still face things on earth that are not perfect,
because Heaven is our true home we should be happy, too!
SAY THIS: Heaven, my eternal home, is a happy place!
They had power over him and won because of the
blood of the Lamb and by telling what He had done for them.
They did not love their lives but were willing to die.
