THE HOLY SPIRIT'S MINISTRY!
JOHN 16:5-14
5.) But now I am going back to the Father who sent me. And none of you ask me where I am going.
6.) You are very sad from hearing all of this. 7.) But I tell you that I am going to do what is best for you. That is why I am going away. The Holy Spirit can not come to help you until I leave. But after I am gone I will send the Spirit to you.
8.) The Spirit will come and show the people of this world the truth about sin and God's justice and the judgement. 9.) The Spirit will show them that they are wrong about sin, because they didn't have faith in me. 10.) They are wrong about God's justice because I am going to the Father, and you won't see me again. 11.) And they are wrong about the judgement, because God has already judged the ruler of this world.
12.) I have much more to say to you, but right now it would be more than you would understand. 13.) The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn't speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen. 14.) The Spirit will bring glory to me by taking my message and telling it to you. 15.) Everything that the Father has is mine. That is why I have said that the Spirit takes my message and tells it to you.

ACCESS TO GOD THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT!
EPHESIANS 2:18-22
18.) AND because of Christ, all of us can come to the Father by the same Spirit.
19.) You Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens with everyone who belongs to the family of God. 20.) You are a building with the Apostles and Prophets as the foundation and with Christ as the most important stone. 21.) Christ is the one who holds the building together, and makes it grow into a Holy Temple for the Lord. 22.) And you are a part of that building Christ has built as a place for God's own Spirit to live.

17.) I ask the Glorious Father and God of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you his Spirit. The Spirit will make you wise and let you understand what it means to know God.
18.) My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given to you when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all of God's people.

2 CORINTHIANS 3: 7-9
7.) The Law of Moses brought only the promise of death, even though it was carved on stones, and given in a wonderful way. Still the Law of Moses made Mose's face shine so brightly that the people of Israel could not even look at it, even though it was a fading glory.
8.) So won't the agreement, which is given by the Spirit brings to us be even more wonderful?
9.) If something that brings the death sentence is glorious, won't something that makes us acceptable to God be even more glorious?

PRAYER GUIDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT!
ROMANS 8:26-27
26: In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is there to help us. For example, when we don't know what to pray, the Spirit prays for us in ways that can not be put into words. 27.) All of our thoughts are known to God. He can understand what is in the mind of the Spirit, as he prays for God's people.

1 CORINTHIANS 2: 6-16
6.) We do use wisdom when speaking to those who are mature in their faith, but it isn't the wisdom of this world, or of it's rulers who will soon disappear. 7.) We speak of God's hidden and mysterious wisdom that God decided to use for our glory long before the world began. 8.) The rulers of this world didn't know anything about this wisdom. If they had known about it they would not have nailed the glorious Lord to the cross. 9.) But it is just as the scriptures say,
"What God has planned
for people who love him
is more than eyes have seen
or ears have heard.
It has never even
 entered our minds."
10.) God's Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. 11.) You are the only one who knows what is in your own mind, and God's Spirit is the only one who knows what in the mind of God. 12.) But God has given us his Spirit. That's why we don't think the same way that the people of this world think. That's why we can recognize the blessings that God has given us.
13.) Every word we speak, was taught to us by God's Spirit, not by human wisdom. And this same Spirit helps us to teach Spiritual things to Spiritual people. 14.) That's why only someone who understands Gods Spirit can understand Spiritual Blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit, thinks these blessings are foolish. 15.) People who are guided by the Spirit, can make all kinds of judgments, but they can not be judged by others. 16.) The scriptures ask,
"Has anyone ever known
the thoughts of the Lord
or given him advice?"
But we understand what Christ is thinking.

THE BODY OF CHRIST!
 1 Corinthians 12:14-24

14.) OUR bodies just don't just have one part. They have many parts. 15.) Suppose a foot says, "I'm not a hand so I'm not a part of the body." Wouldn't the foot still belong to the body? 16.) Or suppose an ear says, "I'm not an eye, so I'm not a part of the body." Wouldn't that ear still be a part of the body? 17.) If our bodies were only an eye, we couldn't hear a thing. And if they were only an ear we couldn't smell a thing. 18.) But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he has decided is best.
19.) A body really isn't a body, unless there is more than one part. 20.) It takes many parts to make a single body. 21.) That's why the eyes cannot say they don't need the hands. That's also why the head cannot say it doesn't need the feet. 22.) In fact we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest. 23.) We take special care to dress some parts of our bodies. We are modest about our personal parts, 24.) but we don't have to be modest about other parts.
God put our bodies together in such a way, that even the parts that seem the least important are valuable.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-13
LOVE FROM THE GOOD NEWS FOR MODERN MAN BIBLE TRANSLATION

The Greatest Gift:
1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-13
1.) I may be able to speak the languages of men,  and even of angels, but if I have not love, my speech is not more than a noisy gong, or a clanging bell. 2.) I am have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains-but if I have not love I am nothing. 3.) I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned-but if I have not love, it does me no good.
4.) Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous, or conceited or proud; 5.) love is not ill mannered, or selfish, or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs. 6.) love is not happy with evil, but happy with the truth. 7.) love never gives up: it's faith, hope and patience never fail.
8.) Love is eternal. There are inspired messages, but they are temporary; there are gifts of speaking in strange tongues, but they will cease; there is knowledge, but it will pass. 9.) for our gifts of knowledge and of inspired messages are only partial; 10.) but when what is perfect comes, then what is partial will disappear.
11.) When I was a child, my speech, feelings and thinking were all those of a child; now that I am a man I have no more use for childish ways.     12.) What we see now is like the dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. what I know now is only partial; than it shall be complete, as complete as God's knowledge of me.
13.) Meanwhile these remain: faith, hope and love; and the greatest of these is love.

WHAT IS A SPIRIT FILLED CHRISTIAN?
A Spirit filled Christian is a person who has taken these steps.
1
.] They know that they are sinners, everyone has sinned, no one is perfect like God.
2.] They acknowledge and believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
3.] They ask Jesus to forgive them for their sins.
4.] They ask Jesus to come into their lives and hearts, and to wash them clean.
5.] They decide to follow Jesus and turn their lives completely over to Jesus.
The final step is that they ask the Holy Spirit to enter into their lives and ask that they be baptized by the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKING IN TONGUES! BY JAMES FIELD
The word tongues means languages. The Holy Spirit allows a person to speak in languages he or she has never learned.
James Field says that:
1.] "Speaking in tongues is an act of the human spirit, apart from the human mind." 1st Corinthians 14:13,14,15
2.]"Speaking in tongues lets us address God from our spirits when our minds don't know what to say.
The Holy Spirit makes His unlimited vocabulary available to our spirits, and we speak forth adoration."
3.] "Tongues is a cooperative language." He says,  "The Holy Spirit never forces us to speak in languages our minds don't know. On the other hand, He makes His unlimited vocabulary available for born-again believers willing to speak from the human spirit."
Finally, "Jesus promised that the Heavenly Father willingly gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask for Him. [See Luke 11:13] After asking the Father for the Holy Spirit baptism, respond by choosing to speak. The God of miracles will act out in your behalf and enable you to praise Him in a language supplied by Him."
MY OPINION:
[You do not have anything to lose.]
First, have you experienced Salvation and Eternal Life through Grace? It is a simple act of extreme importance. A decision we all must make, one way or the other. Simple because of the few simple steps that must be taken to gain salvation and eternal life.
#1.] Find a place where you can be alone. [Well, you don't have to be alone, but it helps.]
#2.] Confessed to the Lord Jesus that you have sinned, for we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
#3.] Ask for forgiveness.
4.] Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life.
5.] Make a commitment to follow Jesus and to live for Jesus, and ask Jesus to help you.
After you have taken these five steps you are ready to ask God the Father to send you the Holy Spirit and to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. That is all there is to it. I pray that each of you will have this amazing experience and fulfillment in the Holy Spirit. I pray that whether the Holy Spirit comes to you as a burning flame, or a quiet whisper that you will know the peaceful Spirit that dwells within you.
What have you got to lose?

Hi everyone!
I am so happy that all of you have joined this family. Lately some disturbing things have been happening in the Christian world. Well, maybe this is a long standing situation and not recent, but some Christians have taken to attacking the integrity of  Christians who are Baptized in the Holy Spirit. In the bible there are many places, many verses and chapters which tell us not to Quench the Holy Spirit, not to grieve the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit is sent to us by Christ, and that the Holy Spirit will Baptize us and give us gifts. It is truly dangerous for Christians to leave whole chunks of the New Testaments out of our understanding. We must understand that the Holy Spirit is vital and necessary to our growth and to our lives as a Christian. Your sister in Christ, Donna

2.) Yelling at one another, grieves the Holy Spirit.
3.) Cursing each other, grieves the Holy Spirit.
4.) Being rude to one another, grieves the Holy Spirit.
5.) Turning against the Lord, grieves the Holy Spirit.
6.) Stealing grieves the Holy Spirit.
7.) Cheating grieves the Holy Spirit.
8.) Drunkenness grieves the Holy Spirit.

WHAT PLEASES THE HOLY SPIRIT?
EPHESIANS 4:32 - Be kind and merciful and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.
EPHESIANS 5:2 - Let love be your guide. Christ loved us and offered his life as a sacrifice that pleases God.
3.) You are God's people, so don't let it be said that any of you are immoral, indecent, or greedy.
4.) Don't use dirty, or foolish or filthy words. Instead say how thankful you are.
5.) Being greedy, indecent, or immoral is just another way of worshiping idols.
8.) You used to be like people living in the dark, but now you are people of the light, because you belong to the Lord. So act like people of the Light, 9.) and make your light shine. Be good and honest and truthful, 10.) as you try to please the Lord.

WHAT PLEASES THE HOLY SPIRIT?
Ephesians 4:2
2.) Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other.
3.) Try your best to let God's Spirit keep your hearts united. Do this by living at peace.

ROMANS 5:1-5
1.) BY faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God. 2.) Christ has also introduced to God's undeserved kindness on which we take our stand. So we are happy, as we look forward to sharing in the Glory of God 3.) But that's not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure. 4.) And endurance builds character, which gives us a hope 5.) that will never disappoint us. All of this happens because God has given us the Holy Spirit, which fills our heart with his love.
