What's Up in Your Week? PART 10

Last post was:

This pic was taken on the island of ST Martin, Caribbean to show you how low the planes are when they arrive. Its very scary as you can see.

WOW Pauline fantastic photo. When U & Dom go out one has to drink a SAFE amount...thank you very much. Poor Lucas needs Grand parents. I agree with you & Dom not to take sides on the love spat. Its up to them. How long have they been together?

They have been together for 13 years, so its horrible for us because we love Patrice as one of our family. Patrice came to our place last Thursday to pick Lucas up, we just hugged and cried together. BUT we've also got to remember its him who cheated on our daughter. I just hope they can get over it because Steph is now becoming very strong and she is also very stubborn, like me! lol  Dominique and I bought the house they where living in, and she kicked him out and so he will now be keeping Lucas Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning, He has rented a house not far away from Steph and has bought some furniture. Problem is they both work in the same company (My husbands X company which he retired from) Would you forgive a guy who cheated on you ??? I'd love you girls to give truthful answers to this question ???

Well I only tell what I really think. If I had been cheated on after being together for 13 years, if ever, I would have to give it a lot of thought. Both working at the same place could help in one way. Specially if he is really sorry, not that it takes away what he did. But they will really have to think of Lucas more than how %#&!*% they feel about each other right now. This is their little man's life. Do you agree? Hugs, we are here for you.

Hello ladies here at Mad Hatter. How are you ladies doing? Hope well. I am okay. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. I did. Have a lovely Monday and I agree with Lynn.

I'm with you all the way Lyn, but I would scew his balls to the table! lol

It can only be the two of them to sort out. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks it HAS to BE them, but Lucas would be looking forward to Christmas so they need to get their act together for him now & then work out what needs to be later. Well that's my thought anyway. Hugs guys.

You're right Lyn, but now for the first time I am going to Ask your advice on the biggest heartbreak of my life. OK are you ready for it ??? I went home to England 3 and a half years ago to see my other daughter Jane,  I'll try to make a long story short (She is my daughter from my first marriage), anyway she asked me to come when the children were on the holiday so I could spend time with them. Fantastic I thought. I flew over to Paris 9 hours from Guadeloupe and then I had to  cross over Paris to the other airport to get my flight  to Manchester then get my car that I'd hired to drive to Liverpool. My daughter has my 3 Grandchildren, 2 boys and 1 girl who I idolize. I had booked my stay for 2 weeks, I took a case full of presents for everyone and for the 2 days I was with my daughter she asked me to take her shopping, not for food (wich I'd already bought) but for loads more presents for her and her husband and the children. Then  also I baught her a table and chairs for the terrace and curtains and blinds for the house. This does'nt matter to me I love them all and its important for me to be there for them all. On the third morning my daughter and I had breakfast together and when I finished my cereal I went to take my bowl out to the kitchen! she yelled at me Don't, I did'nt understand and so I asked her why! and then thats when she told me I had never done anything for her in her life and that she hates me and always had !!! I broke down and begged her to sit down and explain what was  on her mind ? She told me to F__k off out of her house. I'll stop now cos the tears are streaming down my face.

I have to do bit by bit on this one. I'm sorry that people are so nasty sometime & the hurt diggs so deep its like you bleed.

Now the ? is why does she have the Grand children please?

If you want to e-mail this instead its OK.

I'm so sorry Lyn, I know this is a fun group and I don't want to bring pain but for 3. 1/2 years I've been so heartbroken. I am a fun person, I love to laugh and I do this all the time. When this happened to me I said to my daughter to sit down and tell me what the problem was but she would'nt stop screaming at me. She just told me to get out of her house, which I did, she would'nt even let me get my case. I drove to my Mums house, and parked outside, where I was braught up  but of course both my mum and dad are not alive now. I just sat outside and cried. Dominique telephoned me from Guadeloupe and I could'nt speak for a while but I did say to him I needed to come home to him straight away, but Dominique being Dominique he said no way, you have so many friends in Liverpool you see them all and they will make you strong. Sorry girls once again the tears are falling  I'll carry on tomorrow.

Hi everyone, I am back finally.

Pauline, I remember when you went on that trip. I also remember you mentioning a blow up with your daughter. I had no idea that you two still have not spoken. Are you able to keep in contact with the grand kids? It's a sad situation for you I understand how heart broken this is. Hugs to you gal. As for your son and daughter in law that's sad to for all of you. Your such a jolly happy go lucky lady to have this all on your shoulders. I hope things work out for your family soon.

Happy Anniversary and God Bless you and your hubby.

Hi Pami, great to have you back with your words of wisdom. I do appreciate everything you said! Big kiss %#&!*%

Well being Christmas time & all people get family minded, if I was in your situations Pauline, I would send a parcel that MUST be signed to receive for your daughter & family. Not expensive, just some thing for all of them at Christmas. Something simple to show TRUE love. Something that will hit home. Look deep inside yourself & you will know what to send. Just one thing for them all to share. That way they will ALL know you love them. That's only if you want too. OK. With all my heart & love.

Peter & I were talking about Christmas this year. We have his mother on Christmas Eve, Christmas day & Boxing day. We talked together about making it nice but simple. he said he would talk to his mum today after he finished his work. He always goes after work to see her. Well he came home & everything we said has nearly completely change & what his mum would like. He said let just let her have what she wants its easier. That has been the same for 38 years. I'm a bit sad & tied so I'm off to bed. Life can be a bit sad....but just look at the nice parts. Hugs. & inside.... but things happen and I ONLY do today thank God.

Yes Lynnie what  a good idea to send small gifts to show that she is thinking of them .... Pauline I send love and hugs to you.

Oh no Lynnie,
which I'm so sorry ...the same procedure  for 38 years, always the same with the mother, (how old is she?) But I can not understand Peter. He needs to think how you feel  then .... Mo  never would allow.
And every day after work, he goes to her? My God, terrible .....
...sending all my love to you

Hello all here at Mad Hatters. Very sorry Pauline about your daughter and you. Hope it works out for the both of you and a very Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby. Hope all have a lucky Friday the 13th today. Hugs.

Hello Ingrid     Happy Friday the 13th

Thanks Ruthie, I was feeling SO SAD for myself this morning & then decided I would be me & do what Peter wanted, but cook just what I wanted to eat for the 3 days. When anyone says 'how come you are eating that?' I'll say because I want it. I might have fried rice for Christmas Eve & Boxing day. Roast chichen Christmas day & roast vegetables...but if its hot it will be roast chicken & salad.........bad luck. I'm sick of saying yes. LOL. She is 96. But 110 stubborn old fashion german woman that has ALWAYS had her own way. Not this year from me enough is enough. Big hugs.

We've had quite a bit of snow and the grand kids school was closed today along with many others so the snow plows could catch up. More snow on the way tomorrow. I was out and off to their house early this morning to keep them  company for the day. My 10 years old grand son tends to get into mischief to much and my 15 year old granddaughter has a hard time getting him to listen. I stayed to try out my son in laws white chili but it was a bit to spicy for me. I watched Star Trek the newest one Into Darkness. eI really enjoyed this one it had a lot of funny moments in it.

The sheared llamas, or whatever they are are so dang adorable Ruth.

Hi Ingrid, Pauline.

Jocelyn, I got a chuckle out of your advanced dinner plans. BTW I am not one to have a traditional dinner on holidays every time either. It depends on if I will have company and who and even if I am home really. I always do try to have a traditional turkey or ham or both on Christmas though especially for the grand kids because that's what they like and so do I really to please them. I say whatever works. Have a good week everyone.

Yes Lyn I'm so happy because he's a great guy, as Steph says she still loves him but just needs the break to show him she is strong. And its working, he brought her chocolates for the first time in years! lol I've told her if he wants to come over for Christmas dinner we are fine with that! I hope he does cos I've bought him his christmas presents! lol but we are leaving the ball in Stephs court, its important its her who decides.

By the way girls I forgot to say thank you for all your advice about what to do about my neighbour! not once since the police came over has he put anything outside our house. Its a delight to see it so clean for the first time in 9 years. Cheers Girls ! I know who to call in when I've got a problem. Luv you all !

Ruth your a sweetie. Happy last week of Advent for you too. Then a beautiful Christmas for you both girls.

Peter went to his mum's & they both did the herrin salad.Do you do that too Ruthie. Its something Hedy has done for as long as I have known her.

Yes Everything went good tonight, I'll tell you more news Sunday.

Good stuff Pauline. Try to be KIND to your mind & body while you are with 'the girls' OK.

Hi Ruthie, I made the Red Cabbage (Sweet) last night. I cooked it slowly for about 2 1/2 hrs, then put the lid on it & left it over night. It smelt so yum this morning. Them I put different amounts in plastic containers, then into the freezer. So I can take whatever I need when I want it. Thank you Ruth....you know why. Hugs girls. XXXXXXXXX

Merry Christmast

So glad all is going well with everyone. Me too sort of.

The ice storm we had has put a damper on things.

The family usually gathers at Moms for Christmas dinner and the kids all open their gifts but the electric is out till Friday they say. So...it's a bit of a scramble at the moment to see if we will move git to my sisters which is 50 miles away or wait till the power is restored at my Mother's. Most of the city is powerless. My city was fortunate in that we still have electric. Anyhow that's what is going on in my part of the world.

Enjoy your holidays and all the goodies your cooking up or will be eating.

Merry Christmas to you Pam and to everyone here at Mad Hatters. Sorry the Ice storm has put a damper on things but glad everyone is alright. Glad you are well too Pauline, Ruth and Lynn. Not much up with me. Getting groceries today and preparing for dinner for Christmas Day. Hope everyone has a lovely Monday. Hugs.

Pauline how is your daughter & grandson? Hope the 3 of them R doing OK. Ruthie I was thinking of you with Leni enjoying her Christmas, plus goodies etc.

Did anyone have storms? We had some warm days....ut that's all part of it.

Hello to Rose, Pami & Ingrid. Hope Jo Anne & Vicky had a good time too.

We had a rain storm on Christmas eve but as usual here it cleared up very quickly and the sun was shining again. I'm so happy that Steph and Patrice are so loving when they are together, they are still living separately, maybe thats the answer ??? I think I will install Dominique upstairs. LOL

But not for poor little Lucas. Maybe Steph is taking her time & I don't blame her.

Dom up stairs, that would be bad for his heart, you will have to go up stairs. LOL. Get some blow darts to use on your neighbours if you get bored. Heeeee. Glad things are looking up. Hugs.

Hello girls...
Well christmas is over, we had beautiful days and Leni  saw Santa Claus ( Julianes brother )...lol...on the street, with the bag full of gifts on his back, she was so excited......it was too cute  .Only the weather was not winter like  ... rain and storm and 10 °.
I  hope you all had a lovely time...hugs

Happy you had a good Christmas Ruth,10° sounds pretty cold to me but my girlfriend has just arrived from Montreal Canada and she said it was minus 30° here its plus 30° so thats a big shock to her body. lol. Whats everyone doing for New Years Eve ?

Sorry to post sad news of mine at this time of year but here goes......I just got an e-mail from a wife of someone I made friends with on Care2. Jim was his name, we became friends in 2007. She wrote to let me know he died of many different Cancers. He had a letter that he wanted sent to me & some other friends. I cried so hard I could hardly breathe.

So I'm sorry but I'm not up to playing just now. Hugs....Sorry.  See you tomorrow.

Happy New Year Mad Hatters girls. Hope all are having a great start to the New Year and had a wonderful Christmas. I did. Didn't do much. Stayed home and my brother came over and we had dinner togeter and opened presents. Hugs.

Sounds great Ingrid. So come on what did you get?

This year........Peter my husband said {2 weeks before Christmas} NO PRESENT O.K. So Adam & I said 'tes' good idea. I reminded him every couple ofr days 'NO PRESENTS' It was funny because he got caught with his own wish & no one was allowed to give gifts. LOL. It was a hoot.

Hello girls....wishing you all a wonderful 2014.

we spent the days with our children and grandchild...it was quiet and peaceful...Leni  got a bicycle and she was happy.....

good idea without any gifts Lynnie...

gifts  should be only for the kids, but Christmas is just pure commercialism ....many weeks ago  the retail says it already , what he expects sales   .. that's not what Christmas means...

Its only once a year and I love getting prezzies ! lol My husband bought me a lovely black watch and matching necklace and bracelet. Stephs gift was facial creams and make-up and a certificate for me to have hand massage and my nails done. I'm a very happy person with the gifts. hee hee !

hee hee Pauline  ...I do like gifts also  and my hubby bought me also a bracelet "Pandora "and a cool bag...and I've  gotten  some wonderful gifts  from my children.

What about this year you MAKE something for each other? WOW. Something straight from the heart.

My mother -in-law went to hospital today in the ambulance. Not good, poor Peter he is the only one in his family that lives near her. Hedy is her name she fell & broke her pelvis. Ouch!!!!! Yes the 96 year old. She has a 'safty-link' button on a chain....but never wears it. The neighbour heard Hedy calling out for help. So the young lady called the amulance. But Hedy has everything locked up like Fort Knocks as they say. So the young lady told the man in the next unit & he went to the back garden gate, had to break part of it to get in. Hedy spilt some hot fat on her foot a few days ago & said she was too sore to walk much. BUT she had been outside trying to water her pot plants (I did them a few days ago). She hung a bit of washing on the clothes line, left her walking stick at the line, walked to get the hose to water, off balance & now is in hospital & will be for a few weeks. But the worst part she was in so much pain, she was screaming. Poor Peter, she asked him to give her a pill so she could die. That poor man was broken when he got back home. The doctor said they would have to see how she would go. She might never walk again. To be continued.Yuck.

So,So, sorry Lyn. At least she's in safe hands for the next 3 weeks. What will happen when she comes out of the hospital ?

Well today they put her up in the ward. The nurse told Peter they would start her on walking tomorrow. At her age they do that other wise very old people loose their muscle use. She might not be able to walk they don't know that yet. We don't know how long she will stay in the hospital. Peter's sister arrives from London on Monday 13th Jan. Peter's brother, sister & himself will discuss what will happen in the future. Maybe care.....their mother will hit the roof.

But after all living together many years ago that WILL NEVER happen again. NEVER.

She is still always right, never does anything wrong, it was always someone else & Wants everything to be 110% (no such thing) perfect the way she would like to see it. I can't live like that again & wont. So I'm glad it will be up to them....nowhere is good enough for her. About a year ago the daughter & she looked at a place. Beautiful place & gardens, NO it had red & white check PLASTIC table cloths. She refused to look any further. She forgets some people spill things. No everyone is purfect. But where ever it is poor Peter will have to visit everyday. I could end up doing all the wonderful washing, plus PURFECT ironing, that's her favorite thing. I don't do ironing sorry. We will have to wait & see. Not looking forward to all the s..hit that will be flying.

This post was modified from its original form on 05 Jan, 2:42

That doesn't sound good Lynnie...and old people get pneumonia quickly , maybe that's the reason they start  to walk  with her ....I think she is a very difficult person...you have really  hard time with her ...big hugs

I feel so sorry for you Lyn, be strong and stick to your guns. Its important that you and Peter have your own life, you cannot have these problems, I know if it was your own Mum you would try, with a Mother in law who is so strong against the family that is very hard. I really do hope things work out for you and Peter. My prayers go out to you. Please keep us up-dated my love.

I want to thank you both Ruth & Pauline. Today I met Peter at the hospital, they were taking his mother for x-rays. She was so high on pain killers she was being nasty to Peter, didn't want him to touch her, she wanted to go home. Anyway they did a scan of her kidneys, hip etc. Then an x-ray of her knee. Another X-ray tomorrow she was too mad, U could see it in her eyes. Off her head with drugs only to stop the pain. But peter told me tonight, Hedy's hip has bits shattered, her pelvis is not good yet, kidney is OK. She is in trouble. So nothing anyone can do till all x-rays are taken. We all know where she needs to go. Yes. Hugs girls & thank you. Pauline I lost my Mum many years ago, she was brilliant.

Lynnie , I lost my Mum also many years ago...the best  die too  early, my grandmother always said ....the  one whom God loves ,he takes to himself .....hugs

Hi ladies,

Lyn, I am sure the kids know it's time for Mum to be in a special place for people in her condition. It's a hard time for them and the spouses and families. I've been through that with my mother in law. While we got along she was a very domineering sort and reminds me of your mother in law in that way. It was hard for us when she had to move to a care center when she had her stroke but it was for the best. We all have the rest of our lives to.

You gals all take care now.

It's very cold here at the moment -16f/-27c.

Thanks Pam I agree, it is very hard. Thank God I take one day at a time or I would be nuts. Hedy was back on earth today, she said sorry to Peter for yesterday so that was good. I didn't go in to see her. Yes Pauline my world changed so much without my mum. She & I were so close. I am not like that with my M-I-L she has hurt once too often. But that is life. I appreciate you all. Thank you.

Pauline has your friend gone home o still there with you? Keep warm Pami. You are beautiful Ruthie thanks sweetie.

Hello Lynn, Pauline, Pam and Ruth, Hope you ladies are well and enjoying the week. Been very cold here and got a foot of snow here. Going to take a while to clear the driveway but it will be done with the snowblower. Prayers for who all need them. Hugs.
