CHRISTIAN COFFEE CORNER~GREETINGS AND CHAT~ 2012-WINTER
GRAB A CUP OF YOUR FAVORITE NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE, AND SIT DOWN FOR AWHILE. LET'S TALK ABOUT JESUS, HOW YOUR DAY IS GOING, YOUR FAMILY OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DISCUSS!
Good morning everyone! It is dry, windy, and cold this morning. We have been having soup everyday during the cold spell, and the crock pot is most certainly getting alot of use. There is no snow but it feels like snow weather! Tonight it is supposed to be bitterly cold.
I have been working day and night on my project, and am finally getting close to being finished. It was far more work than I had anticipated, (in fact I was on the computer so much that I hurt my arm!), plus there are family politics at work which made things difficult for me. However, I am hoping that it will be appreciated by some at least.
The doctor told me that my anemia is getting better; but I had a really low score for absorption of iron, which means I have to have more IV iron infusions. Two this time. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the other doctor; and the blood specialist told me that three weeks after I have my surgery, I need to make and appointment with her again. Now I have four doctors. Hopefully I will get some of this straightened out and get back to normal. Being anemic has really given me an appreciation of the verses in Isaiah 40:28-31. I love verse 31 even more; (but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.) Everyone have a blessed Sonday! God Bless, Donna
In this summary of the earthly life of Jesus Christ, the first
thing mentioned is that He "went about doing good."
What does the Bible mean when it speaks of "doing good?"
Doing good must involve some type of giving: either of time or
resources. How else can anyone do good?
Look at some of the verses that instruct us to "do good."
MATTHEW 5:44 NKJ
44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse
you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who
spitefully use you and persecute you,
LUKE 6:27,33,35 NKJ
27 "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to
those who hate you,
33 "And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit
is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
35 "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for
nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will
be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and
GALATIANS 6:10 NKJ
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all,
especially to those who are of the household of faith.
HEBREWS 13:16 NKJ
16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such
sacrifices God is well pleased.
SAY THIS: Like my Lord Jesus, I will go about doing good.
