The Souhegan River is part of the Merrimack River Watershed. Canoe trips, water testing and clean-up days are some of the programs available through SWA.

The Trust is a non-profit (501(c)(3), tax exempt educational organization whose purpose is to protect and preserve the natural values of the Sacramento River and to educate the public concerning ecologically viable farming methods and the need to preserve free-flowing rivers.
SRF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of California's salmon, steelhead, and trout populations and their habitat. SRF educates individuals, organizations, and agencies about innovative techniques for salmonid restoration by sponsoring an annual conference in California and operating technical field schools. SRF is devoted to educating the community on the ecology and economy of restoring natural resources for future generations of fish and people. We are interested in building a sustainable economy in rural areas so people in the restoration field can make a living wage while restoring the natural environment.
SPAWN, the Salmon Protection And Watershed Network works to protect endangered salmon in the Lagunitas Watershed, and the environment on which we all depend. SPAWN uses a multi-faceted approach to accomplish our mission including grassroots action, habitat restoration, policy development, research and monitoring, citizen training, environmental education, strategic litigation, and collaboration with other organizations and agencies.
The Canadian Heritage Rivers System (CHRS.) is Canada's national river conservation program. It promotes, protects and enhances Canada's river heritage, and ensures that Canada's leading rivers are managed in a sustainable manner. Responsible river stewardship is the ethic it engenders. Cooperation and public support are the strengths it builds upon.
