US President Barack Obama has defended his performance in the first televised presidential debate of the 2012 election campaign.

Mr Obama, who is known for his oratorical skills, was criticised for what many saw as a lacklustre job.

Speaking to ABC's Diane Sawyer, the president said there was "no doubt [he] could make a better case" to the public, and dismissed his Republican opponent, Mitt Romney, as a "salesman".

Looking ahead to Thursday's vice presidential debate, Mr Obama declined to offer any advice to his running mate, saying "Joe [Biden] just needs to be Joe."

Obama: 'I can make a better case',

what as he done in the last 4 years to show that he could make a better case, all he's done is spread hate in his country for his country, and going around the world making apology for America, for what America had done, meanwhile the rest of the world are thinking, what the hell have the American's elected in 2008, .

Ray's article excerpt: Speaking to ABC's Diane Sawyer, the president said there was "no doubt [he] could make a better case" to the public, and dismissed his Republican opponent, Mitt Romney, as a "salesman".

... And what an exceptional salesman he is!  When Governor in Massachusetts Romney had successfully crossed the isle to work with Democrats as well as his own Republicans.

I agree with you on that Ray The rest of the world is laughing at the US to think how many brainless people there must have been to elect someone who was not vetted and much worse they didn't ask for any answers from the crook!! I knew right from the start he was bad news before he ever got in so not all of us were asleep at the wheel! Thank God many of those have awaken!!

And Joe be Joe!? How many times can one make an excuse for an idiot and still feel justified in doing so!?!?
