....for our oldest son!! We just got a message today from my X-DIL and she said that our son had gone to the Emergency room not feeling well at all so they did an EKG or MRI on him and the Dr. told him he was having Heart Surgery as he had just had a Heart Attack!!! So they put a couple stents in his arteries and he is still in the Hospital..they are keeping him in there for a couple days I guess. I sure do hope he turns his eating habits around and his life style..not that it was that bad but he tends to drink loads of Mt. Dew and crap like that which is not good for you! Thanks everyone!
Carol, your son will be in my prayers. God Bless.
Oh Carol.....lots of prayers going your son's way!!!! So sorry to hear this. You take care. Love ya!!!!
Oh Carol. I do hope your son recovers quickly. My ex-sister-in-laws husband has had this done, and my Mom's favorite cousin in Baton Rouge, not too long ago. They have been fine. Prayers being said for his speedy recovery. This year has been so hard on so many of us, our families going through one thing or another, one right after the other, and not just ours, but all the bad things that have been happening all around to everyone else and their loved ones, enmasse. I talked with my son in WA state last night, and they are worried that this will be his stepmom's husband's last Christmas-cancer. They don't know. He is a very nice man. I pray also for a brighter and happier new year for everyone, because we so many have sure endured enough heartache, that's for sure.
Let us know how he is doing Carol. 's for you and your family, as well as everyone else.
Thanks so much Donna, Maui and Sherry!! I know your prayers are working!! He is so lucky he went in when he did because he said ha had not been feeling well for quite some time and he finally could not take it anymore so he went in thinking something else was wrong. That is when they did the test on him and found out he had just had a heart attack. I guess there are wake up calls from God in every form and some of them are just for us to change our life styles! He feels very fortunate that he went into the Emergency Room when he did! He seems to be doing pretty good! His brother and a friend stopped over to see him last night and he looked pretty good I guess. His other brother and his wife are on a Christmas cruise right now so we are assuming they are not checking their e-mail so when they get back and read their e-mail they will be in shock.
Many prayers going out for all of those we love who are going through a bad health situation right now. May God give them the strength they need in order to fight off whatever it is that is taking it's toll on them!! to them!!
I'm so sorry Carol! I certainly will be praying for him and all of your family.
Here is one that I found and I have been using:
Dear Lord of Mercy and Father of Comfort,
You are the One I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body.
Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch.
Please restore your servant to full health, dear Father. Remove all fear and doubt from his heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his life.
As you heal and renew your servant, Lord, may he bless and praise you.
All of this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thanks so much Nan!!! These prayers are so wonderful!!!!!!!! I appreciate your prayers and thoughts for my family too!...Love You!
Carol and Nancy, I am so happy to see that our prayers are working! God is taking care of things. I'm a bit weepy lately, don't feel like talking much but keep praying for so many wonderful people and their families.
I am trying to hold things together here. It's holding but ....well, hearing that things are happening here, heartbreaking things, with our friends at FSM, but are coming together, means so much. I know the Lord is listening. He sure has his hands full lately!
God bless you all and your families! Keep praying friends! It's working!!!
Thank you for the green star Bling..please know that you and your husband are very much in my prayers as well, I keep at it. God bless you both.
He will be fine Carol, he needs to change his eating habits and exercise! I agree with you this is a wake up call! love you sis!
Thanks Donna, I pray for all of us everyday and extra ones when needed.
Stay strong my friend. I too have been very weepy. I've turned of the news for the most part and haven't been online much either except on Facebook because that's how we get and give updates on Konner and other family and friends. It's easier than trying to call everyone. Our family is so big it would take hours to update everyone
Between my Dad with Alzheimer's, my Mom's health issues, new babies, weddings, homework with Alex, work, holidays, Politics, shootings.....I'm so overwhelmed!!!
I've had to just step back and take care of family and myself for a bit.
I love all of you and if I don't make it back here before Christmas I Pray that you all stay safe and have a blessed Christmas.
Hang in there Nan! I hear you! It's all too much. You take care of what you need to and take care of yourself!
Hey Carol, hoping that you have gotten some positive reports on your son. So true about watching what we eat and drink. Sometimes it take something like this to be a wake up call to get healthy! I think we all know what is good or bad for us but until something happens we put it on the back burner and hope for the best or think we are somehow above it happening to us. Guess what? It happens to us!
Truly pray he is feeling better and is on the mend and will be home shorty! AND NO MORE MT DEW!
Thanks so much Donna and he is doing much better! Several people have gone to see him and they say he looks much better and I can't help but feel this has been coming on now for quite some time!! Blocked arteries just don't happen over night!! So I think this is why he's been so tired and out of it for quite awhile! He definitely will have to change his eating habits for sure! Either that or he will be in there again. His energy drinks and his Mt. Dew are BAD for him, and he drank them down like nobodies business! But I guess maybe being so lathargic with clogged arteries that made him not have any energy so now he may have some with his arteries cleared or opened! Let's hope so anyway!
I sure hope you start coming out of your slump too Donna! It's no fun for us feeling that way especially when we want to try and cheer someone else up and we just don't quite feel with it either. Christmas will be here pretty soon and then we can celebrate the real reason for Christmas!! I hope the Baby Jesus comes into many lives and brings much happiness into everyones!!! I hope your family and everyone elses can find great happiness and closeness over the Christmas Holidays!
Thanks Ivy!!!I hope this Christmas for you is also one of the best! I think we all deserve one this year especially after such a let down over the election period!! I think the best thing we could all get for Christmas is if God gave us back our country!! I would not need nor want anything else!! For myself that is...I would want my kids and Grandkids to be happy and have at least one thing good for them and my oldest son I think already has gotten his...both Christmas gift from me and from God!! Then all of my friends to have something special in their lives to happen! Wishing you all the best!!!
Carol, sweetheart,I'm so very sorry! I'll keep him and you in my thoughts and prayers.I'm going to pray and consintrate on sending positive energy your way.
Thanks so much Ancil!! He is suppose to be able to go home today and he was feeling better the last couple days so that is great! He has to be on all kinds of different pills nowbut his diet and exercise is the most important thing for him!! I know he can use the prayers and the positive energy!!
I'm so happy he is doing well Carol. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.
Thanks so much Nan...He called here today and I found out that I guess he is not done with tests yet!! They wanted to do some more tests on him but seeing as how he just had the heart attack and all they didn't want to stress his body anymore I guess. Anyway they don't want him to go back to work until the 26th. I guess there are some other things they want to check out on him. When he was born my delivery Dr. told me he had a heart murmor. I never thought much about it until now when this happened. So now I am wondering if there is or was something more serious with his condition when he was born than what is coming out here!!
my mother has a heart murmur and her Dr doesn't seem to think its a problem. .
Thats something I don't really know too much about
I don't either Nan...but it sure does make you concerned when one has a heart attack at his age 46...of course there have been heart attacks at younger ages but it sure does make one wonder what the hell is going on in this planet that so many people at such a young age have therir body parts going to hell in a hand basket!! Don't it!? I mean too much BS is being put into foods and etc; that is not good for the body but because it brings someone mega $$$$$$they throw it in the food and contaminate everyone! I swear this is a good share of the problem of all of our problems today in this country! Greed is getting in the way of so many people's common sensetoday thus they can't think right they are totally brainwashed!
Carol your son will be in my prayers.
Thanks so much Michael! It's very much appreciated!!
Carol, in my heart as always when things happen.
Sorry I have been away for the last couple of days folks. See my internet was broke or so I thought and I was waiting for them to come and fix it. Here it is three in the morning here and I was trying to sleep but was too p/o because I have not been able to get on line for the last couple of days.
So there I lay raging away as I tried to sleep and then it hit me .... Maybe I had pulled the thing out of the thing in the basement (I dunno what the hail its called) so down I tromp and sure enough ..... I had done just that.
Glad that he is doing better Carol. How old is he?
Are you talking about the router Cam? I just hate that when it's something simple that we do adnI guesss the best part is when we figure out what it is that we did wrong!!! Glad you figured it out!!
Dean is 46 years old...too young to be having a heart attack! He still has more tests that the Dr. wants to do on him but seeing as how he had just had the heart attack he didn't want to put anymore work on the heart. He is suppose to be off work until the 26th of December so we shall see if he can go back to work then or if he needs more time off yet.
Carol, Poof went my comment...Dean on my prayer list. Age actually doesn't matter~I have a heart issue and they did a ton of tests! Sorry haven't been here but caught this and wanted to say prayers coming HARD. xox Please keep me posted, I don't get messages from the group but you and Cam have my direct line.
I certainly hope each and every one of you here, and your family members,- all of you have gone through so much- are doing better, better everyday. Hugs and love to you all.
Thanks so much Marilyn!! I appreciate it and I know it will help Dean!!
Thanks Sherry!! Very much appreciated!! I hope everyone else who is having a difficult time with family members or themselves are doing better too! God Bless You All!!
