To my family of FSM Friends,

(btw......the world did not come to an end)

I have been on vacation and trying to get everything ready for our family Christmas.  It is this weekend, but we had to delay it a day due to the big storm that pounced upon us....which cancelled many flights so my daughter could not get home today....but she will be arriving tomorrow....along with my other daughter and her family.....and my Mother....we are so excited.  I have been grocery shopping 3 times due to things I had forgotten and things that I couldn't buy too early....but now I have everything (and more)  needed for our dinners.

The presents are all wrapped.....I didn't think I had done that much shopping until I finally wrapped them all and put them under the tree.....but everytime I went to the store, I found something more to buy.....especially for Olive......she is going to be such a joy to watch opening her presents.  Children really make Christmas fun for Grandpa and Grandmas......

I have been away from politics....which has been so very wonderful!!!  Everything on the news is just too damn depressing.....and I will not let it get me down.....not during Christmas!!!

So everyone here, have a very merry Christmas and I hope you get everything you asked for and more!!!!   It's been quite a year for us all.....we lost a big fight that we fought for four years here.....but we won't let it get us may have not turned out the way we wanted.....but I truly believe justice will come before obama's term is up.......our fight and voices will be validated!!!!

MERRY.....MERRY.....CHRISTMAS.....LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are all happy that the world did not end.  (not that I expected it too).

Merry Christmas to everyone here.

I am heading out to see my Mom over the holiday.  Always nice to be in the snow belt at this time of year.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Maui and all!! We truly do have a White Christmas here this year but I have no decorations up to enjoy! It was too damn cold to be downstairs here decorating!!! The sun is out today making us some power I put a couple window coverings on one window in the bathroom and another window back by the washer and dryer. This morning when I was down stairs here I breathed out and could see my breath!!!!!!!!!!!! That is too damn cold for me! Can't enjoy anything when it is that cold!! All of our Christmas gifts are down in Ugashik yet. I am waiting for the day when it decides to warm up and stays warm for a good couple weeks or month or two!! I hope everyone has a great and Happy Merry Christmas!!! May your New Year be filled with many blessing and much good health!! May God lead us into the New Year!!

Thank you Carol....I am ready and sitting here waiting for the family to all arrive.  Big plans for tonight then tomorrow we will open presents....if we can keep Olive out of them tonight....I'm sure there are some she can open to keep her interested.  Getting so a child waiting for Santa to get here....LOL.

Nancy.....why on earth you want to be going to the snow have enough cold and snow this week to bypass the rest of winter.....I guess I will have to go to AZ for that to happen.

Merry Christmas to all my friends!!!

"Nancy.....why on earth you want to be going to the snow"

Yeah, well, at least I am not driving to Alaska.  I am very used to driving in the snow but I am not going today because it is snowing.  So I will go tomorrow.  At the age of 85, Mom is not a good traveller anymore so we go there.  Though my sister did bring her here this past sumer.  Mom loves having us around though two of us are far away.

Merry Christmas!

Sounds like fun is going to be had by all Maui!! When the kids were young I would let them open one or two small present on Christams Eve...that usually would tide them over until Christmas day!! We finally got all of our mail up here today and the gifts that everyone had sent so we are ready for Christmas!! even though it's just going to be Bob and I we're happy we have all of the gifts up here!! Plus the regular mail! I am so ready though for these temps to warm up! I am really tired of freezing weather!! Bob said this morning in the house it was 46 degress!!!!!! It's -15 degrees right now so I imagine it will get colder tonight again!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

So am I Carol, and I love all the Christmas decorations and lights everyone puts out.

Glad you got all your presents in time. That has been a tradition since I've been little too-the grandkids will open one present each on Christmas Eve. I bet the first thing they head for are the gifts under the tree Christmas morning,  instead of the stockings, though they have to pass by them first. LOL

Nancy M and Maui,  send some of that snow to Texas if you don't mind please!

I talked to a friend in Nevada a few days ago. She said she knew someone who actually believed the world was going to end Friday, and that they have an underground shelter, stocked food, ammunition, clothes, etc. I said, well, the world isn't going to end on Friday, but they are smart to have all that stocked for other reasons though.

To All My Democrat Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2013, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To all My Republican Friends: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry after Christmas day to you all too

I was thinking about adding this earlier, then forgot about it with everything else going on. Anyway, I got this email from a friend in ND:

This e-mail is in no way to discourage giving but was just watching a program about all this and the Sandy victims and more about the rip offs toward charities.  The fact of the matter is so many are getting rich over the devastations of so many.  Tis a very sad world.
Just a reminder...
